Meet Our March Guest Designer!

We have a fantastic guest designer for the month of March!  Please help us welcome....

~DJ Rants~

My name is DJ Rants and I'm a Christian, mother of two teenagers (not as scary as it sounds!), wife of 24 years, and an avid card maker. I started making cards with construction paper at the age of 6 and haven't turned back, I just have a bigger budget! I live with my family in the Northwest, which gives me perfect stamping weather (lots of rainy days). Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has been such a blessing to me with beautiful scripture verses and gorgeous florals, I'm very proud to be guest designer!
You can check out her fabulous work on her blog, and in her gallery over on Splitcoaststampers.

We are really looking forward to seeing her work all month long, beginning tomorrow with our New Release Blog Hop!

There is a Blessing ~

I love sharing moments with loved ones! This adorable image from a DKowal design speaks that language loud and clear. The sentiment is one of the five included in this Together Silhouette set released in January! Everything from the images, sentiments and the fonts that come in this set compliment each other very well.

From the time I saw this set, I wanted to combine it with the Cloud & Raindrop die set! The paper pieced umbrella is fun to give dimension and the raindrops made it fun to create the showers of blessing depicted.

Why not try your own creation using the unique dies that SNSS has to offer!

Materials used: Together Silhouette, MME paper, Versafine black ink, SNSS die, Spellbinder, twine

Thanks! Have a great day!

~ Mary

You Inspire Me

This is one of the first cards I made with the fabulous You set, designed by Dina Kowal for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I really, really love how this card turned out!  I inked up each sentiment, stamped it once on scratch paper, and then stamped it on my card stock base.  That way, the colors were not too dark.  I stamped the large word you in the same way, and tied some twine around the top - that's it!  Simple as can be :)

Supplies:
Stamps: You (Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps)
Card Stock: White (Neenah)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Wild Honey, Dusty Concord (Tim Holtz/Ranger)
Accessories: Flax Twine (The Twinery)

I made a couple of cards to go along with this week's Ways to Use It challenge over on Splitcoaststampers this week.  The first one uses the lovely Together Silhouettes clear stamp set - I love that sweet image!

The second one uses the fun You & Me set.  I love the orange and green together!  It is so cheerful, and totally makes me smile.  Both cards use the great Scallop Border Dies from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I love that they come in two different sizes; they can be used for so many different projects.  I also used Echo park patterned paper on both cards - from the Candy Shoppe and Metropolitan collections.  They are both available in the store!

Love You!

Hello! Giovana here with a Love card for you today. Last week I taught this card at church, a group of ladies got together and had fellowship, we laughed and talked and then we got creative. I showed the card in 2 colors and the Red card base was the winner :)
For this card I used the "Love You!" saying from Love from Rhurbarb Set, the kraft piece was die-cut and embossed using Circle Dies and I stamped the flourish image in half of the circle. I used the cute image from You Set.
I decorated my card using a piece of PP and the Heart Scallop Border Die, I also die-cut a big felt heart, I really love this heart shape :)

I added a paper flower and some ribbon.

Hope you like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

A Special Gift from God

I have had a sweet little girl on my mind today.  She is ALWAYS in my prayers as, at the age of 7, she has spent most of her life in and out of chemo.  She and her family are on our local newscasts today because one of the drugs that she needs for this round of chemo is part of the nationwide drug shortage that's been in the news lately.  This is an incredibly inspirational family - so full of faith - they are always a shining light in our church family.  My small contribution is to always make sure there are cards waiting for them after a chemo week.

That's a long explanation for this card because I had a very specific goal.  I wanted it very clean and "pure" - thus the white scenery.  And I wanted the girl from Special Friends and her kite to be vivid and cheerful!

But most of all, I wanted to remind this sweet girl that she is a very, very special gift from God!!

Rhubarb Easel card...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a circle card with a twist.
Last week I had a quick TUTORIAL on our SNSS Forum at SplitCoast Stampers on how to make circle cards. If you have never made any, check it out!
So I wanted to make another circle card, but this time I added one fold, and turned my card into an Easel card.
I started with making a regular circle card with a fold on the top cover. Then I die-cut 2 red scallop circles and attached those to the front and back of the white circle base card.
This is how it looks from the side:
To decorate my card, I used Thoughtful Rhubarb and Love from Cocoa (greeting) clear stamp set. I stamped Rhubarb, colored it with Copics, then cut the image out... cutting the little bird off.
I die-cut 4 hearts with the brand new Heart Die Set. Stitched 3 of them together in the middle and turned them into a dimensional balloon. I also die-cut a cloud. (I didn't use SNS die for that, but you can use Clouds and Raindrops Die.)
The background is out of a book page and pink paper that I dry embossed with Argyle folder from Cuttlebug. The inside strip (which serves to hold the top circle up) is also dry embossed and distressed.
I also used a picket fence die-cut, pink button, Baker's Twine, red rhinestones, and red Stickles (on Rhubarb's nose).
To make my circles, I used my biggest Circle and Scallop Circle dies from Spellbinders.
If you want to give this a try, make sure you link your card up to our current Wednesday Challenge on SplitCoast Stamper. It's to make a circle card. :o) We would love to see your creations!
Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

We Go Together Like Peas and Carrots

Have I told you lately that I adore this new set, You & Me? I love it just about as much as I love coffee and donuts (another one of the fun images included in the set!) And ok, I like peas and carrots too, especially when they come complete with sweet little faces and coordinating sentiments!

I opted to use some lovely vintage paper from October Afternoon for today's card. I don't know why but the You & Me set reminde me of a 50's diner and the Farmhouse line from October Afternoon is the perfect combo! My pea and carrot are colored with Copic markers and popped up with some foam tape. I also added some lovely seam binding ribbon, along with a big 'ol pearl.

Head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy shop and check out this great set!!
