Hello Wednesday!! and 2 cards for you

Hello friends!! Hope you are having a fantastic Wednesday. Today, I have 2 cards for you!!

We start this this new set "Delightful Doilies" by Dina Kowal, super duper cool, don't you agree? For this card I used my new Memento Luxe Inks, They are pretty cool

Instructions:
  • Stamp doilies on White Cardstock in Memento Luxe Wedding Drees Ink. Add Clear embossing powder and heat set.
  • Sponge around image with Memento Luxe Teal Zeal Ink. Mat this piece with a slightly bigger piece of Red cardstock.
  • Die-cut a Doily border in Ivory cardstock. Adhere it to panel.
  • Add Red Ribbon.
  • Die-cut a banner and stamp sentiment in Teal Zeal (I didn't add clear embossing powder, let it dry for a minute, it dries pretty fast). Add banner to card.
  • Adhere panel to front of card. A2 size.
  • Add red pearls.

=====================================

Second card: Since I am still in Christmas mood, I want to share a card I made using the new Poinsettia die that coordinates with Poinsettia set.

Instructions:
  • Make card base from Ivory Cardstock. 5" square.
  • Cut a piece of Patterned Paper, distress all edges, add a piece of red and ivory cardstock and add zig zag stitches. Adhere panel to card base.
  • Die-cut a poinsettia from White Cardstock, stamp image and color it with Markers.
  • Add burlap behind image and adhere it to card.
  • Stamp sentiment on a piece of Patterned Paper, die-cut and add it to card with dimensionals.
  • Add pearls to corner.
  • Add Gold Gala Glitz to center of Poinsettia.

Hope you like my projects!!
Have a great day!

Believe Every Day

Morning Sweet 'N Sassy friends! Today happens to be my last post as a guest designer for this sweet 'ol blog so I figured I would pair up Korin's amazing, heartfelt and uplifting stamps with some of Maja Design's country chic Sofiero papers and came up with this:

Here's a close up of the sentiment panel, which consists of a Romantic Rectangle Nestie (stamped with a quote from the Celebrate Today set) and underneath that is a Detailed Scallop Nestie. I added some Liquid Pearls to the perimeter:

The crystals are a piece designed by Zva Creative. I added them above the paper flower accent, which is also adorned with some Striped Twill:

The gems sparkle much better in this photo:

Here's the window sill shot:

I want to thank Korin, Janette and the rest of the Sweet 'N Sassy design team for welcoming this month, it was truly an honor to design with these stamps!

Have a great day!

Celebrate Today CAS

I have jumped on the mixed Media bandwagon and I thought I'd share this clean & simple card with you using one of our new releases Celebrate Today, some stencils and distress ink.

I started my card with a  piece of white cardstock and taped my stencil to it and then sponged Peacock distress ink over it. I removed my stencil and stamped the image and sentiment.  A CAS quick and easy card!

More Christmas in July...

Good morning!

Jessica here popping in to share two more cards I made with the new dies that were just released on Friday for our Christmas in July blog hop event!  Today's cards were made with the lovely Vintage Ornaments and the new Ornaments die collection.

I stamped the ornaments on the die cuts with Brilliance ink, so there is a soft shimmer to each of them.  So pretty in real life!  I also 'hung' each one with some platinum shimmer twine and embellished the centers with a clear rhinestone.

I used some non-traditional colors and papers for my second card.  I love the font that Korin used for the main sentiments and wanted to use all three of these together for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiments in Versafine ink -  my favorite black for the crispness and the richness.

The hop is still going on, so be sure to check out all the details and leave comments as you go for your chance to win one of the new dies for yourself!

Vintage Ornament...

Hello! It's Monika here today bringing you a Christmas card using the brand new Ornament Dies and the coordinating Vintage Ornaments clear stamp set.

I decided to use traditional colors. The ornament was die cut out of vellum, then stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. It has such a pretty frosty look this way, don't you think?

The greeting was heat embossed and fussy cut... then adhered to a tag (Mini Tags Die set). The sketch came from The Sweet Stop, SSS221.

Did you have a chance to do our Christmas in July Blog Hop yesterday? If not, it's not too late... we are giving away both of the new dies! There are so many wonderful creations. It sure can put you into the right mood to start on your holiday stash!

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Choose Faith

Hello, it's Bridget here today to share a card made with one of the fantastic July release sets - Celebrate Today!
Once again, Korin has come up with some meaningful sentiments which are
perfect for creating encouraging cards.
As I was making this card, these words became a prayer....Lord, help me to choose faith over worry. This past year I've been so worried about a loved one and choosing to believe that God is good, loving and is hearing my prayers has been an act of faith - I'm sure many of you can identify.
I colored the flower stamps with Stampin Up Markers before spraying with
water and stamping on watercolor paper for a misty effect.
I then spritzed with Shabby Shutters Distress Stain.
Though I used a red marker it seemed to end up an almost watermelon shade of pink red,
so I made a quick change of plan and used that shade of
cardstock for the embossed panel (Sizzix Plaid).
The ribbon is woven through a die-cut using  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Lacey Eyelet Border die
I made this card before I'd received the new Doily Border dies, other wise I'd have had a hard decision about which of these fabulous dies to go with!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Feel Better Soon

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to be here with you today to share a card that I created using one of the latest releases...this is the darling stamp set, Cocoa's Get Well Wishes.  Isn't Cocoa so precious with that band-aid over his head?  Speaking of band-aids...guess what I did?  I made a band-aid by stamping on a piece of canvas that I had lightly colored with Distress Ink.  Then I just needed to add a bit of shading.  It really looks like a band-aid...sometimes an idea hits, you know? LOL!  The rest of the image was colored with Copic Markers and sweet Cocoa was mounted on a tiny grey tag.

Here's a closer look at the stamp and the band-aid...
Enjoy!!

What Faith Sees

Hi Sweet 'N Sassy fans...I know that we're right in the midst of the July release, so I thought I'd pop into today with a card featuring the 'Faith' set. Beautifully uplifting and heartfelt...these sentiment stamps can be used for so many different themed/occasion cards! I paired this set up with some Madeline papers and different ribbons:
I stamped the quote on a Spellbinder's Lattice Rectangle and then mounted the larger panel on an A2 Fancy Ribbon Threader die cut. I snaked some walnut seam binding through the holes and tied a bow at the end. The accent in the top corner is a sticker that I had in my stash and just added a folded piece of gingham ribbon underneath. My design is modeled after this week's Mojo Monday sketch.
Thanks for joining me today and I hope you're enjoying the previews of all these new, gorgeous stamps!
See you next week!

Fun in the Sun!

Good morning Sweet 'n Sassy friends!  I hope you've been staying cool on these hot steamy days.  I'll be trying to do just that today...as you read this post, I'll be heading to the beach for the day!  It was a perfect day to grab the newly released stamp set, "Wish You Were Here."

This is such a fun set and the matching Beach Dies make it easy to create wonderful, summery, beach cards.  The foreground was stamped with the ever popular chevrons from the Grunge Borders stamp set with Dandelion ink.  The palm tree, sun, and flip flops were die cut, stamped, and colored with Copic Markers.  A piece of Baker's Twine was tied around before popping the panel on a Solar Crest card base.  Stickles was added to the sun and several colored rhinestones were scattered on the top panel to finish the card.

Since we are revisiting the new release, here is another card using Delightful Doilies and The Sweet Stop sketch for this week....love this set!

Check out THIS post for more information on this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a blessed day!  Try to stay cool!

Hugs,
Cathy

celebrate today

Good morning!  I have 2 cards to share today.  They both use a blue/green color combo but they look so different.
My first card was made with the new stamp set called Celebrate Today and a Lacey Eyelet Border die.

I used the thumping technique again on the flowers... color the flower with a lighter colored marker, then tap, or thump, a darker colored marker over top before stamping.  Here's another card I made with the same stamps & technique.

On my second project I used different shades of blue and green with Beauty By The Sea to make a beachy card.  How fitting for such a hot & humid week that we've had!

Here I used the Saran Wrap technique to make the background.  Just scrunch and wad up a piece of plastic wrap and use it like a sponge to apply ink to your cardstock.  Tap it on your inkpad and then dab onto the paper in an up & down motion (like stamping), layering several colors.   Then I stamped the shells over top in a darker blue.  Here's a close up.

This technique gives the ink some "texture" vs. the smoother look when you sponge in a circular motion.
I hope you have a great, cooler weekend!
♥ Diane

Kneel

Korin here again this week with another card featuring our new Celebrate Today set.  I love the images in this set because they can be stamped in black like my card today or they can be done in color like my card from the hop on Saturday.

For my card today, I used our wonderful Decorative Plaque Dies to cut out the shape, then sponged it to add some color.  The script in the background is our Light of Christmas Background stamped second generation (stamped off once to make the ink lighter).  Then I stamped the flower images and sentiment.  I added more interest to the image panel with some white dots from a poster paint pen.  The stamped border in the background is done with our Decorative Frame Toppers set.  The lower black border is from a Martha Stewart punch, I believe.

Thanks for joining me today!  Remember, when life gets too hard to stand, KNEEL! <3

Have a great weekend!

Korin

Long-Stem Silhouettes

I have 2 cards to share with you today using one of my favorite sets Long Stem Silhouettes.

For the first card, I sponged a bg image panel with rose, purple, and pink ink then stamped the silhouettes several times over the top.

The second card I inked up only the top half of the flowers so they would be shorter for a different look.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!
