Longing for Spring

Hi there, It's Ceal here to share a card with you today using an older set, Birds & Roses. I don't know about you but here in Colorado it has snowed at some point during the day, everyday for the last two weeks and even though we need the moisture, I am longing for spring.  This set depicts spring with the birds and the gorgeous roses and it's so fun to color.
Thanks for stopping by and stay warm

March Sweet Perks Club

Hello friends! It is that time again! We have some GREAT Spring themed bundles for you this month that you are sure to love.
http://www.sweetnsassystamps.com/sp-club/

Before you head to our site to order your bundles, please read ALL of the info below.

IMPORTANT CLUB INFO:
Our club bundles will ship 3-4 weeks from the initial release date (that's today) so please keep this in mind when you are ordering.  The earlier you order the sooner your order will ship.  This time frame is necessary to ensure we have enough product on hand to fill orders and enough time to fill those orders.  If you add other items to your club bundle order, those items will also be delayed so it is best to keep your CLUB orders separate from your regular product orders.  We cannot partial ship orders.

Please note:
Two of this month's bundles include stamp sets that were previously released to our line (New Creature and Treasured stamp sets).  Please make sure you check your personal stamp inventory before ordering so you do not end up with duplicate stamps.  Thank you!

For those of you NEW to SPC, this is how it works...

On the last Friday of the month we will share the next month's SPC bundle(s) (yes, there may be more than one to choose from!). The bundle(s) will consist of one stamp set and one coordinating die set and they will be available FOR PREORDER at a 20% discount with FREE SHIPPING (US customers only, $3 off shipping for international customers) for only 2 weeks!  The new products in the bundle(s) will be made available later in the month for purchase on our website for the FULL retail price.

SHIPPING: In order to receive FREE or discounted SHIPPING for your bundle purchase(s) you MUST enter the shipping code found in the bundle descriptionClick on the link to the product and scroll down to find it in the product description. We will not be able to credit you back if you forget this step.  Orders are shipped via USPS First Class Mail.

While saving 20% is a pretty sweet deal, that isn't all!  After all, it's called the Sweet PERKS club!!  When you purchase one (or more) of our SPC bundles you will ALSO receive 10% off ANY additional purchases you make that month!! SWEET!

To "JOIN" our club, all you have to do is order one of the bundles and you are in! There is NO COMMITMENT. YOU get to pick and choose when to participate.  When you do, you get that month's perks, when you don't, you don't.   Pretty simple, huh?

Of course, the savings are GREAT, but we're also throwing in some freebies to reward your continued club participation.

Check out these SWEET PERKS!
  • When you purchase 2 or more SPC bundles in one month you will receive a small surprise gift in that month's SPC shipment.  Who doesn't love fun little surprises? :) SWEET!

Faith

Hello!  Angie, here today with a card to share combining two stamp sets, Faith and Parisian Postcard
One of my sweet friends and I get together as often as possible to hang out at the bookstore enjoying books, good conversation and drinking coffee!  We shop together, and eat out from time to time as well but our favorite thing to do is the bookstore and coffee!  On Sunday we had one of our bookstore visits and she shared with me the sad news that she may have cancer.  We both shed tears as we chatted.

As I added layers of color to this card I kept thinking of our conversation and her words of Faith. My friend shared her thoughts with me, that she knew none of this was a surprise to God.  Her Faith was secure because she knows WHO holds her future.

As I added the finishing touches on this card I received a text from my friend.  Although her levels are high and she will need to go on meds there is no sign of cancer!!!  What a delight to pour my heart and prayers into this card and then to receive such happy news just before placing my butterfly as the finishing touch!!!

Faith...

Hi there... Jennie here again and I have had a delightful time guest designing for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month! Thank you Korin for the creative opportunity.
Today I have a card to share that I made using Majestic Monarchs
This card involves such a fun technique!! First, I stamped the butterflies on a white cardstock panel using Versamark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine and also embossed with clear embossing powder. Then we get to the fun part...sponging using daubers using Peacock Feathers and Lemonade distress ink. Just blend, blend, blend to get the perfect shade :) After I found the desired shading of ink, I layered it on a black panel and popped it up on a card front.
Here are the stamp sets I used:
I have another SNSS card over on my blog using the beautiful stamp set Parisian Postcard so hope you will pop on over. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Warm Wishes for Spring

Hello! Judy here today with warm wishes for all of you in the throes of cold winter temperatures! One of my wishes is that Spring would come really early this year! I'm not holding my breath, though, so the mittens are staying out for now!
I used images from Winnie's Warm Wishes, one of the new February releases. I love how the sentiments are all interchangeable to say all sorts of different things. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored the mittens with Copic markers. I decided to have them facing so the hearts were right side up. The banners are handcut, and the little mittens are backed by a purchased snowflake doily that was a gift from my sister.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Clear Acetate Card Tutorial

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!

Jenny here with your weekly tutorial.

First I thought I would share with you a corner of
my studio while it is still reasonably messy free.
This is where I do most of my creating.

I'm one that prefers to have my most used supplies
around me for inspiration and convenience.
I also like to start each project with a clean desk area...
doesn't always happen that way though :)

Today I am showing you how easy it is
to create a clear acetate card.

It's been a long cold winter around here so
I went with a cheerful Spring theme for my card,
using the Happy Happy stamp and die sets and
Ticket Sentiments stamp set.  You could
also use airplanes, hot air or birthday balloons
(anything airy) on your card.
For the card base, I used a clear acetate
folded card measuring 5 x 5 1/4  by Hero Arts.

A list of all the supplies I used are
below this post with convenient links to shop.

Begin by stamping and then die cutting your
images with colored card stock or designer paper.
I used dye inks for the sun and kite and a
Brilliance Pearlescent ink for the cloud.
You will also need to cut three more of each image
in white, or if you prefer, in the same colors.

Arrange and adhere (I used a tape runner)
colored card stock images
to the front on your card.

I stamped my sentiment next.
You could also do this before
adhering images to your card base.
Next I glued on some twine "kite string".
I like the added dimension and the
look of it trailing below the card.

Now you will notice when you
open the card the tape is noticeable,
and we don't want that.  So starting with the very
back of your card, adhere the same images.
Super easy to see where they go by following the
layout in the front of the card.

Next do the same for the inside.
Now your card will have a nice finished look
without any glue or tape showing.
This is also where you can write your message.

Finally, using a white Staz-on Ink,
(pigment or dye ink will not adhere to acetate)
I stamped a smiley face from the Happy Happy set
and stars from the Ticket Sentiments set.

Here is how my card looks closed.
Notice that you don't see the other
images on the inside and back.

Here is my bright and cheerful clear
card displayed open on one of my
 bookshelves in my studio.

I just love how unique and fun
clear cards are.  I'm keeping mine
in my studio for now as a reminder
that Spring will eventually arrive!

Hugs,

Jenny
