The Lord is Risen

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here to share a card created with the brand new stamp set, The Lord is Risen (designed by Karla Dornacher and available right now as part of the second Creative Worship Bible Journaling Kit released on February 26th).

The Creative Worship Bible Journaling Kit is available while supplies last for $31.95 and includes two stamps sets plus a bundle of extra goodies (see more details here).

I just love the images in The Lord is Risen stamp set and decided to create an Easter card using the main floral image along with the words.

I stamped the images using Staz-On™ Jet Black Ink onto a white cardstock panel (stamping a second lily on another piece of cardstock), colored the images with markers (adding shadows around the images for the appearance of layering) and using dimensional foam to pop-up the lily.

It is hard to see in the photo but I also added Clear Wink of Stella® to “LORD”, layered the panel onto gray cardstock and added a few additional layers with a gray satin ribbon bow to finish off the card.

I hope you have a chance to get your kit before they are gone!!

Thanks for stopping by- hugs and have a fabulous week!

welcome sweet baby

Good morning!
I needed a couple of baby cards and pulled out the Sweet 'n Sassy Little One stamp set.  I already had a baby boy card made with this same set but I also need a few for girls.  You can see the boy card I made previously here.

I also used the SNSS Majestic Monarchs dies to add a little accent to the main image.  It complements the tiny butterflies in the carriage nicely.  :)  The baby rattle was popped up with dimensionals.

Thanks for popping in and... happy stamping!
Diane

Our Second Kit is Here!

Welcome, dear friends, to Sweet 'n Sassy's HE IS RISEN Creative Worship Kit Release! We are so excited to share with you our second Bible Journaling Kit featuring two fabulous new stamp sets and a bundle of extra goodies to help you with YOUR creative worship!
Our fabulous Creative Team has some wonderful things to show you today, and we hope you will spend a little time with us this morning browsing their projects!

Let's take a look at the stamp sets first!
Illustrated by Karla Dornacher, the Lord is Risen is a beautiful Easter-themed 4"x6" clear stamp set -- perfect for spring greetings, as well as journaling! Having all the words separate also allows for mixing and matching with other Creative Worship sets too!
I love the delicate flowers and little extra images with the swirls and hearts! And don't miss the scripture reference stamp!

Rebecca's journaling page shows just how beautiful this set is as Bible art from the heart!

And Diane's card is reflects the newness of life with its fresh and clean design.
The second set in the Kit is a trendy, fun alphabet (love!) designed by Kimberly Geswein called Love Ya Like A Sister

There are so many possibilities for alphabet sets in your journaling -- and cardmaking! Personalization of scripture verses, using your own name, is a great way to remember that God's love is for YOU!

I can hardly wait to get my hands on this alpha!

Also in the Kit is a bundle of goodies to help make your journaling easy and fun! You can see what is included HERE.

PLUS -- we have a surprise release of a new Creative Worship stamp set available separately called His Wings, designed by Korin Sutherland. We know you will love this set too! Five images and 24 words present so many possibilities for beautiful projects!

Korin's journaling page is a beautiful reminder of God's love and protection - and our trust in Him.

We are excited to share these new offerings with you, and hope that you will share your SNSS creations with us! Join our Creative Worship Bible Journaling and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Facebook Groups! We love to see how SNSS helps your creativity and worship!

Worship the Lord

Hello! It's Monika here today showing you my way of Bible Journaling.

I wanted to give Bible Journaling a try... but I am still not comfortable with the thought of using my Bible as my base sheet. What if I make a mistake? I can't just tear the page out and toss it aside... and believe me, I do make lots of mistakes...
So I decided to do my journaling on a piece of paper and attach that paper to my Bible. I guess I could call this my altered Bible.

What do you think?
I really liked how the background turned out on my previous card, so I made the background the same way...
The right side was sponged with Mustard Seed distress ink. Then I went over the ink with a wet brush to spread the ink. After the ink dried, I also splashed some water over the area...

I added some highlights to the words and dress with Prismacolor Pencils.
The silhouette butterflies were stamped on vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

You Complete Me

Goodness, it's so fun when you organize your stamp room and find things you haven't used yet because they were "covered up" with other things! Like these fun Speech Bubbles dies.  I have had them for a long time, but put them in a place they shouldn't have been, and just rediscovered them!

I had the stenciled background done and in a "to use later" envelope, and it fit perfectly with the little CAS card I had in my head! Both the sentiment and the image are from You & Me.

I plan to give this to a girlfriend whom I am meeting for supper tonight! An actual ten-minute card!

A CAS card and a Sneak Peek.

Happy Monday!

It's Ceal, here to share a CAS card with you today using an older set, Love Birds. I made this card for a challenge at Addicted to CAS for the code word of HOME. This set was perfect. I colored it up with Copic markers and also used the coordinating die cut to give some dimension.

I also have a sneak peek for you from our Bible journaling kit that will be released this Friday

Isn't it Gorgeous!

God Loves You More

Happy Sunday!

I am so enamored with the I am Loved clear stamp set.  I know I just posted a card from the set yesterday, but I couldn't help making another so I could share it with you today.

I made just a few brushstrokes of water color before I stamped my sentiment from the set.  I love how that makes such a pretty background.  Of course the sentiment is beautiful and so true!

Thanks for letting me share again.  Be sure to check out all the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Enjoy your day and we'll be back tomorrow with another post.

Thank You God

Happy Saturday!

I hope today's card makes you smile.  What is better than gratitude?  If all we ever did was praise God and tell Him thank you, we would be less stressed and much happier!

I used two different clear stamp sets for my card.  My main image is from a brand new Bible Journaling set called  Creative Worship - Songs of Praise.  I am still practicing my water color skills so that is what I used on my image.

My sentiment is from the I am Loved stamp set.  This may be my favorite new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps clear stamp set.  I could just stamp all day with it!

So, that's it for me today!  Be sure to check out all the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Have a wonderful weekend full of friendship, love and stamping!

Songs of Praise

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!  The snow here in PA is almost gone and the sun has been showing its friendly face!  Whoooo-hoooo…singing songs of praise!   Cathy here to share some exciting SNSS news and a few samples for your inspiration!

First up is a brand new stamp set, Songs of Praise, designed by Lucinde van Ballegooijen that has been added to the Creative Worship line at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Store.  What a sweet set this is...not only for Bible Journaling but also perfect for creating cards and inspirational projects.
I used Songs of Praise to create a bookmark card to be given as a gift at our church's upcoming ladies' conference.

The backgrounds for the card and bookmark were created by swiping acrylic paints on pieces of Mixed Media paper with an old credit card.

The bird on the bookmark was masked before adding the paint.  Archival ink was used for the verse and notes.  The bird was watercolored with Tombow Markers after removing the mask.  The bookmark was then cut with the Bookmarks & More Die Set.  Highlights were added with a Sharpie Paint Pen.

The hills on the front of the card were cut with the Hillside Edges Dies and were stitched to the card to create a pocket.  The little bird was fussy cut after it was watercolored.  (Psssst…don't tell Korin, but I did cut the word "sing" apart from the verse so I could use the word separately.)  {{***wink***}}

This beautiful Bible Journaling page was created by Lucinde, the designer and illustrator of the Songs of Praise stamp set.

This double page spread was created by Korin.  She also used two of the new alphabet stamp sets, Cold Coffee Alpha and Camden Market Alpha.  If doing your own lettering in your Bible is a bit intimidating to you, these alphabet stamp sets are perfect for adding the words you need to finish your favorite scripture verses!

Flutter By.....

{jane bosi}  Good Morning, Sweet Friends!  From the snowbanks of Wisconsin, I'm telling you, the butterflies will flutter by soon enough!

I truly cannot remember how long I've been a fan of Sweet N Sassy stamps, but I do know Butterfly Flourish is one of the first stamps I purchased all those years ago.  It continues to call to me with the beautiful flourish and three butterflies--an image that inspires hope and things to come!

I added the flourish to a water colored background.  After everything was dry, I also added some silver Wink of Stella to give it that soft shimmery look.  The butterflies were stamped and trimmed from a second piece of water color paper.  I used distress inks to color them, as well.  I don't typically use white as a card base, but thought I'd try something new......what new things are you up to?

Pick Me Up Monday

Happy Monday, Sweet Friends!

Julie, here to share a fun Mixed Media card using the Pick Me Up clear stamp set along with the coordinating Pick Me Up die set.

The background was created using a stencil with Copper Crackle Paste over a piece of designer paper.  Add a bit of Gesso over the paste as well as Distress Stain, distress the edges and layer onto dark brown cardstock, add a ribbon strip with lace and the background is finished.

Stamp the mug, steam, chevrons and sentiment from the Pick Me Up clear stamp set with a dye based ink, color the heart on the mug with a pink alcohol marker and cut out with the coordinating Pick Me Up die set.

Create the tag element by coloring a piece of designer paper with a pink alcohol marker and layer onto dark brown cardstock, add a satin ribbon triple bow to the top of the tag, mount the tag along with the stamped images using dimensional foam and add a rhinestone to the heart to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by- have a blessed week!!

each day is a gift

Good morning!  It is ssssoooo cold here.  brrr!

Today I am sharing a card using 4 SNSS sets... Celebrate Today, Lots-a-Spots, Decorative Frames, and the coordinating Decorative Plaques dies.

It's a calendar...no, it's a notepad...wait, it's an easel card!  Ok, it's all three.  :)

I stamped the dotted background (after stamping the ink off first) in a light yellow so the notepad color would match.  The notepad fits perfectly on the SNSS Decorative Label!  Happy accident...the sentiment goes perfectly with the mini calendar!   (oops...I forgot to tear off January!)

Thanks for popping in…stay warm and happy stamping!
