Home for the Holidays

{jane bosi} Hello, Friends! I wanted to pop in to share some last minute goodies from our September release--naturally, you'll be seeing lots more of these beautiful images in the days to come, but for now, let me share two that feature the images from Home For the Holidays

I particularly love this set because the dog image looks just like our Charlie.  He's a bit of a sass, but we love him just the same.

It's beginning to look like my favorite time of the year.....Enjoy!

Christmas Wishes.

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of simple Christmas cards.

I used the same technique on both cards. Alcohol ink background and heat embossing.
I used green, red and pink Tim Holtz alcohol inks, blending solution, and gold foiling on the backgrounds. They were just the perfect backdrop to the vellum with the white heat embossed images.

For my first card, I used the word tree image from O Holy Night clear stamp set. The embellishment images were stamped on water color paper from the Winter Birds clear stamp set. I colored those images with Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors before fussy cutting them.

On my second card, I used the pretty poinsettia image and one of the many greetings from the September 2018 Stamp of the Month: Christmas Poinsettia clear stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Fall into Christmas

Hello sweet friends!   Now that fall is officially here, I plan to enjoy the crisp mornings and falling leaves even though we are already seeing signs of Christmas!  Cathy here with several cards to share from the SNSS August and September 2018 releases.  First...my fall card:

This jolly scarecrow from the Happy Scarecrow stamp set just make me so...HAPPY!  All of the images were colored with Copic Markers and were mounted to a watercolored panel made with Distress Oxide Inks.  The brown horizontal panel was also made with DOX inks and the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  The sentiment was cut with a stitched circle die and some jute twine was added to complete the card.

Now...on to Christmas!

The holly leaves from the Winter Birds set was stamped around the outside border of a panel and colored with Copic Markers.  The center of this panel was cut with a stitched rectangle die.  The sentiment was stamped, a Texture Tiles 3 image was lightly stamped in blue ink and texture was added with an impression plate.  The panel was mounted to black card stock and popped back onto the border.  The dove was colored, cut out and mounted to the center with foam tape and sequins were added to finish the card.

Several stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used to create the cards above.

Thanks so much for stopping by...take time to enjoy fall!

Hugs,
Cathy

Christmas Word Art

Hello Sweet Friends!  It's Sheri here today with some Christmas inspiration featuring the NEWLY released Christmas Word Art set.  I love sending Christmas cards but always seem to wait to the very last minute.  This set is perfect for those last minute cards as there is no coloring needed and can easily be changed up with the inks and papers you use with it.

My first card is fun because I used a nontraditional Monochromatic design.  The sentiment is stamped with white pigment ink and then I heat set it so it wouldn't smear.  I was going for a chalkboard look.  I added some punched snowflakes as embellishments.

My second card is definitely more traditional.  I used fun plaid paper from my stash.  The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I added a bow and a piece of holly as embellishments.

all roads lead home

Hello! I have a fun card to share today with another one of the new sets from the Sweet ‘n Sassy September Release. Here I used Home For The Holidays. I love the image of the door with the stones around it!

I decided that I wanted to be able to peek through the door and see the tree inside so I carefully cut the panes out with an exacto knife and placed some clear acetate on the inside of the door to resemble glass. I also cut the center from the wreath image and "hung" it on the door.

I stamped and colored my door image and then stamped it again onto my card front. The entire door was cut from the card base and then I just cut part of the way around it on my image panel so the door remained attached and could be opened. I used the white door that was cut out to use as a pattern for the acetate that was attached inside the door that opens.

The tree was adhered inside so it lined up behind the door.

Here's the inside with a greeting and a few presents.

And here's one more card with this set... with the truck and sweet pup!

Have a great day!
Diane

Christmas Word Art

Hello everyone, I have 3 cards to share with you today using Christmas Word Art. I made the card with the white wording first, I stamped onto black paper with Versamark ink and used pearl white embossing powder.  The designer paper is from The Paper Studios.  I had scraps of paper left so I decided to make one using black ink on a white mat so you could see what that would look like.  Which one do you like better? I like them both!
This card also uses Christmas Word Art.  I love that this set makes for quick and easy cards.  I stamped onto a cream cardstock with green distress ink and the paper is from The Paper Studios.  I added some lace and ribbon, I think it gives it a country look.  Don't forget that if you spend $75 you will receive this month's stamp of the month Christmas Poinsettia for free!!
Hugs,
Stephanie

Autumn Blessings

Hello everyone! Are the fall colors already coloring your world? We thought we would have an early fall here in the Netherlands because it was so dry this summer. But at the moment the first leaves are changing colors, but it's still very green outside. So maybe that's why I turned to my blue markers instead of my orange and brown when I made this card. Even though I love the colors of fall, I decided to use some 'non-traditional' fall colors for this autumn blessings card.

I stamped the birds from the Winter Birds set on marker paper and colored them with my markers. After that I cut them out and I searched for the patterned papers I wanted to use for this card. I used patterned papers with geometric patterns but I decided to use circle shaped die-cuts for them. I die cut a circle from the orange/pink paper and I die cut clouds out of the blue patterned paper. I decided to die cut another small circle to stamp my message on. When I had all the elements for the card it was just a matter of adhering everything together. I used a blue ribbon and sequins to give the card a little bit more sparkle.

For this card I used the stamp sets Winter Birds and Happy Scarecrow.

I hope you're inspired to create something today!

Home for the Holidays!

Today I have cards to share using this month's Sweet N Sassy stamp set called Home for the Holidays! It has some really great simple, vintage (ish) images. This set really makes me happy and inspires some great card ideas.

For the first card, I have a CAS front door scene. I masked the wreath so it looks like it is hanging on the front door (that is right - this can be a non-holiday card too :)) I had fun coloring the stone facing with my warm grays and a touch of blue violets. I combined the word choices available in the set to create my simple mixed-font sentiment.

For my next card, I went VERY simple and stamped my image and sentiment on a card front and then colored it up with my colored pencils for a soft look.

For my final card, I created a background with the separate scene building elements of the set. I colored them up with Copics and added a sentiment banner using a sentiment from the Christmas Poinsettia set (which is free this month with a $75 purchase.)

I LOVE this set and I hope you like what I created and are inspired to try different techniques with your sets too.

Thanks for stopping by!

His Presence

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share with you today a card featuring our September release stamps Christmas Word Art
To create my cad I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel cut down a half an inch smaller. I stamped the word art and then made a rectangle mask to represent a present and placed over it, next I used a sunburst stencil to represent the glory of Jesus who is the reason for the season. to finish the card, I used the Midas Touch glitter pen by Nuvo on the star.

Winter Birds

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of Christmas card, showcasing Winter Birds clear stamp set.

For my first card, I wanted to make my own background, so I stamped most of the foliage images with gray ink on a white A2 card stock, then added gold mist to darken the area where the focal images were going to be...

Next I stamped the cardinal and some of the foliage images on watercolor card stock and colored them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor before cutting them out.
To add more texture/dimension to my card, I distressed the edges of the panel.

My second card is a birdhouse shaped card. I love making shaped cards... circle is the most basic, but from time to time, I just have to make one of my birdhouses. :)

I usually use a template, but I couldn't find it this time... so I had to improvise. I folded an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" white card stock in half (wanted to make sure it would fit in an A2 envelope) and using a ruler I sketched out the shape and cut it out... then I traced the front panel onto a brown card stock (minus the roof), cut it out, and stamped it with the 'tree bark' image from Texture Tiles 2 clear stamp set. Next I punched the circle openings of the brown piece and the front panel of the white base card. The red roof strips were punched with an old Fiskars hand punch then were adhered to the base card with dimensional adhesive.

The images were stamped on water color card stock and colored in with ZIG watercolor markers. I stamped an extra bird and poinsettia flower so I could cut parts of the images out and popped them up with dimensional adhesive.
The fence was die-cut with a retired SNSS die.

I just love the way it turned out... do you like making shaped cards?

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika
