Good morning! Today is the last day of the Sweet ‘n Sassy sales for their 11th anniversary celebration. Be sure to check out the final special...

I have 2 cards to share today using the SNSS Winter Wonderland set. This set is so versatile with a ton of possibilities! I first used a snowflake patterned paper for the background, then stamped the tiny tree in the hand of the snowman.

Next, I used the snow globe and placed the church inside. This one has bright, fun colors. Both cards have some Stickles added to sparkle.

Have a great day!

Hi Friends! Today I have my final project for this month's celebration for Sweet N Sassy Stamp's 11th Birthday - it has been such a fun month! Today I have created a night scene using a silhouette stamp from the Old Fashioned Christmas set.

I used Distress Inks for my background and Versafine with clear embossing powder for my image.

I hope you are inspired today to just create something and have fun doing it.

Thanks for stopping by and joining the celebration!

Merry Christmas- A Quick Mixed Media Card

Hi Sweet Friends!  Julie, here and today I am sharing a quick Mixed Media Christmas card using non-traditional colors along with one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets, Christmas Silhouettes and images from Home for the Holidays and Texture Tiles 1 .

The background panel was created using distress oxide inks, smooshing the ink onto a piece of white cardstock and when the ink had dried, adding splatter with the splatter image from Texture Tiles 1.

The reindeer image from Christmas Silhouettes was stamped with archival black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before fussy-cuting.  The sentiment from Home for the Holidays was created in the same way on another piece of white cardstock and die cut with a stitched circle die.

The script image from Texture Tiles 1 was stamped onto the diagonal die-cut square before mounting onto the card front with dimensional foam.

A bit of silver cord and a few rhinestones were added to finish off the card.

Don’t forget, we are still celebrating our 11th Birthday Celebration all month long!  This week, you can save 11% off Sentiment, Fall and Christmas stamps (good through 11/30/18 with HAPPY11SFC code) plus....

Crazy About Snowmen!

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of snowmen cards using Crazy About Snowmen clear stamp set! To celebrate Sweet n' Sassy Stamps' 11th birthday, we have a throwback stamp set full of SNOWMEN from the past! How sweet is that?!

My first card is a SHAKER!I just love making shaker cards, and they are not hard to make!
I started by stamping snowflakes all over the blue card stock. Then I splashed white paint onto the panel to add more dept to the card. I stamped the greeting with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.
Next I stamped the sweet snowmen images (for both cards) with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, and colored them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors before cutting them out.

To make my shaker, I cut a slightly smaller rectangle than the blue panel out of white fun foam. Then I cut a circle out of the blue panel and also out of the fun foam. (I set the blue circle aside for the next project!) I also cut an extra circle out of white card stock, sponged it with various blue inks, then stamped the tree and moon images from Thrill of Hope clear stamp set with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.
Next I adhered the fun foam and the stamped circle onto a white base card. I adhered a piece of window sheet to the back side of the blue panel (covering the circle window opening). Then I covered the fun foam rectangle with double sided tape and glue and carefully filled the circle (in the fun foam) with micro beads and sequins. To finish the shaker, I adhered the blue panel onto the card.
To decorated the front of the card, I adhered white thread, the snowman (with dimensional tape) and  silver rhinestones.

I turned my second card into an anniversary card. Those snowmen are just so adorable and perfect holding a heart! I used the leftover circle from the shaker as the background! Easy and economical! LOL! The greeting was stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine ink from Thoughtful Words clear stamp set (my new favorite sentiment set!).

Happy Stamping!
Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Wise Men and All the Things

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! Today I'm sharing a couple of Christmas cards using some old and new favorites. This is such a busy time of year, and all the things can sometimes overshadow the reason for the season. So for today's post I chose to focus on cards that shift the focus back on the true gift of Christmas.

We Three Kings stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
First up, is this "almost" one layer card using the beautiful and timeless We Three Kings stamp set. I have loved this set from afar for many years and am so happy to have it in my hands now! To start the background, I did a bit of ink blending with evergreen bough, salty ocean and chipped sapphire distress oxides. I then stamped the wise men  and the star image in versamark ink and embossed in white.

Next I free hand cut a snowy bank from white paper, then embossed the sntiment in silver.  A bit of ink sponged along the edge gives some dimension and I finished with a silver bow.

For the next card, I started with this darling tree from the Christmas Topiaries set (50% off in the shop right now!). I colored in with Copic markers and then fussy cut.  I tucked a circle that I blended some spun sugar and warm lipstick distress oxides onto for a little glow.  The sentiments are both from the Jesus + Coffee set and I embossed them in silver. I finished off this sweet little square card with some Holly Jolly Christmas papers from Bella Blvd.

Crazy About Snowmen

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a little inspiration featuring the NEW Crazy About Snowmen stamp set. Snowmen are my all time favorite!

I created two cards using similar supplies.  They are both colored with copic markers which are my go to coloring medium.  I also used a fun non traditional color combo.

Christmas in a Winter Wonderland

Hello everyone! Are you working on your Christmas cards yet? I still have a lot of cards to go, but today I want to share one of my first Christmas cards for this year with you.

I love the snow globe from the Winter Wonderland stamp set and I really wanted to make a shaker card with it. I think it's a perfect match :). So I stamped the image and cut out the inner circle to create the shaker window. I made a little scene with the snowman, a tree and some 'snowy mountains' for the inside of the snow globe. I colored the images with Distress markers and added some color to the background with Distress Oxide inks. I added several blue sequins and some smaller silver sequins and adhered everything on blue cardstock. I added a little dashed line on the white cardstock to give it a bit more dimension and that's it for this card.

I used the stamp set Winter Wonderland.

I hope you're inspired to make something too!
