Celebrations

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with a little update on some of the fun I've been having with my Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month!

The Happy Couple set is a new favorite of mine, and I created both a wedding card, as well as a celebration card that could be for any occasion that calls for cake!

For this card, I used a stencil to ink blending the background, then stamped the timeless image from Happy Couple on white, and then watercolored using the same inks.  I wanted a little more pizazz, so stamped the top of the cake image a couple times, then colored and fussy cut to accent her veil and her bouquet.  Such an easy little accent that packs a big punch. And a little white on black sentiment always makes things pop.

For my next card, I made some backgrounds with some shimmering watercolors, then stamped the cake image from Happy Couple and watercolored with the same paints. Lots of splatters give a fun vibe, and I used a delicate little circle die to give a feminine flair.  The many blessings sentiment is so beautiful embossed in silver.  A few rough edges around my background and the card was done.

It's the last day of the month, and also the last day to enter our Rainbow challenge in the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP Group on Facebook. If you're not a member, consider signing up! It's free to join and there are lots of fun early bird peeks for our releases and fun inspiration and activities throughout the month. Okay, on with the card talk. This is one of the cards I created for the rainbow challenge using some watercolor markers and the darling Itty Bitty Blossoms set. A thank you sentiment from the Kindness Matters set finishes off this simple card design.

Today is also the final day to get the GORGEOUS Peony Cluster set for free with a $75 order. A $75 order also gets you free US Shipping, so double yay! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

The pretty designer paper is from BoBunny.  You still have a couple days to grab the stamp of the month set Peony Cluster for free when you place a $75 order.  Don't miss out, it is a fabulous set!

Wedding Season

Hello friends, Stephanie here with a couple cards to share with you.  Summertime will soon be here and that means lots of weddings.  I have 2 cards for you today using 2 of our new releases this month.  Happy Couple and Marriage Scripture make for easy wedding cards.
This first card I stamped my image and sentiment with Memento Black Tuxedo Ink, you could color in your image but I decided I liked it plain.  The paper is from DCWV and I added some half pearls and ribbon to dress it up a little bit.
This next card I stamped the same way and the designer paper is from DCWV, it is a little sparkly but it does not show up in the picture.  The die for the main panel is from Gina Marie.  There you have it, 2 quick and easy wedding cards.    Don't forget about our Stamp of the Month- Peony Clusters, it is free with a $75 order and it is GORGEOUS, you don't want to miss out on it that is for sure.  As always you get free shipping with a $75 order.   Happy Stamping!!!!!

Hi!

Hello everyone! Today I want to share another card made with the Paw-some Pals set. The cats and dogs are just so cute!

I colored the cat and dog with alcohol markers and cut them out. I die cut a frame out of light blue paper and added tiny circles with a wood patter to give it a bit more interest. I used alphabet stickers for the word 'Hi' and added a couple of golden hearts to add a sparkle to the card.

I used the stamp set Paw-some Pals.

P-A-W-S-atively Adorable!

Hi Friends!

Today I have some more P-A-W-S-atively adorable projects using the new Paw-some Pals set. It seriously makes me so happy!

My first project uses a fun technique for the background. I challenged Splitcoast Stampers with it this week. Check it out if you are interested in trying it! I used the die cut sentiment as a place for the sweet puppies to sit on.

Recipe :
  • Paper – Canson Watercolor card stock
  • Image – Paw-some Pals
  • Ink – Distress ink and Distress Oxides And Copics
  • The Circles are cut from a SSS Stitched circle die and the HUGS die is from my stash (not sure about brand).
  • The background is embossed with a bones/paws embossing folder them embossed with Versamark and WOW Gold embossing powder.

My Second project is a shaker card - It is clean and simple but oh so fun!  My  shaker bits  for  this  one  are  candy  bones.  My niece goes to the University of Georgia (mascot Bulldogs; colors red and black) and this one is for her.

Recipe :
  • The background is embossed with a bones/paws embossing folder
  • Image and Sentiment - Paw-some Pals
  • Sentiment is in Onyx Black Ink (inked before Embossing)
  • Main image colored with Copics Warm Grays only for shading
  • The Circles are cut from a SSS Stitched circle die and the HUGS die is from my stash (not sure about brand).
  • Candy bones - Bazooka Brand
I hope you are inspired today. Think about the all the little elements from your various stamp sets and use them in a new way!! Just have fun doing it!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Unique

{janebosi} Happy Thursday, Friends!  Today, I'm sharing a birthday card I made for a very special little lady!  I've just started binge watching Once Upon a Time with my youngest daughter and.....I am all abut the fairy tale, right now!!

One of the things I love most about Sweet N Sassy Stamps is the incredible versatility of each set.  I can use them in my Bible and on a card for a 10 year old....and a 50 year old and all the year olds between and after!

This card features images from Be Unique and Mighty Fortress.  Super fun and a little sparkly with some sequin embellishments.  Both images are colored with copic markers and tucked in some cloud like die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a awesome day--Jane

Trust in the Lord

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share card with you featuring  a couple of our sets, Delightful Daisies and Surrounded in Prayer.

To create this card, I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut down a 1/2 inch smaller.  I stamped the largest daisy and then used a mask so I could stamp the smaller ones like they are behind it.
The background was created using a stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brushes.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Peony Cluster

{jane bosi} Hello, Friends!! Today, I am sharing several projects featuring Peony Cluster--the Stamp of the Month.  I'm also sharing my heart and a prayer journal I'm working in.  I'm glad that you've stopped by today!!

How grateful I am that the Lord is near to me when I am brokenhearted!  My heart breaks over a lot of things.  Sometimes, it's things in my own life and other times, it is broken over the children I serve in my day job or other stories in the world around me.

His Word, in Psalm 34, reminds us that He is near to us all the time, especially in our brokenness; when our spirit is crushed, when we feel cut off, when we are in pieces, and when we are hurt or torn--both in body and in spirit.  The word used in this verse--"near"-- is the Hebrew word qarowb (ka.rove').  It is used to describe place, time and relationship.  How awesome that we see very clearly that we are never alone?  Never.  He is close by.  He is right now!  We can have a personal relationship with the One who is Creator of all!!  He loves you deeply, wholly, eternally, personally!  Rest in that oh, weary souls!

I picked up this super cool prayer journal at a thrift store for a few dollars. I can't tell you what a treasure I have found this to be!! It's called The Weekly Prayer Project:  A Challenge to Journal, Pray, Reflect and Connect with God.

I used a variety of stamp sets and inks.  It rather evolved as I went along.  Stamp sets used:  Peony ClusterJesus & CoffeeGod Is Bigger, and Sunshine Girl Alphabet.  So much wisdom in all of God's Word (obviously!) but I am continually struck and grateful when He places, in front of me, the exact Word I need in the most unexpected and ordinary ways.  When you look, you will see God's hand in everything!

Be Blessed! Jane

Birthday celebration

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of birthday cards, using some of the new stamp sets from the May Release.

First up is Happy Couple clear stamp set. I decided this cake doesn't have to be just for weddings... right? So while this card could be a wedding card, it also passes as a birthday card... since I don't have a wedding to go to... The greeting is from Keep in Touch Too clear stamp set

I built my cake out of four layers (plus the bow)... I used thin dimensional tape as I didn't want it to be too bulky... I colored the images with Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors. The background was made with Purple Twilight Tim Holtz alcohol ink. I had to add my sweet vellum flowers with rhinestones... I just can't seem to tire of them...

On my next card, I used Freedom in Christ and Peony Cluster clear stamp sets from the new release. I used So Happy clear stamp set for BIRTHDAY and an old birthday sentiment set for HAPPY (but Christmas Poinsettia, Birthday Greetings, and Precious Poinsettias have similar word images). The heat embossed vellum flowers were leftovers from my card from the blog hop.

The banner was stamped with a multicolored ink pad (just like the background)... and I couldn't help myself, I had to add my punched vellum flowers.

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by!

Monika

Pretty Peonies

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a couple of cards using the Stamp of the Month for May and a few other stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps new release.

The Peony Cluster was white embossed on Kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  A stamp from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set was white embossed on another Kraft panel and stitched to the left of the peonies.  A third panel was embossed and white ink rubbed over the raised edges to enhance the design.  This panel was also stitched to the card front.  Twine was wrapped around the card and the sentiment added to finish the card.  I love the look of the colored peonies on the Kraft card stock!

The Peony Cluster was inked up with a much neglected Kaleidacolor ink pad and randomly stamped over the background.  A sentiment from the Marriage Scripture stamp set was embossed with Liquid Platinum powder on a white panel.  The wedding cake from the Happy Couple stamp set was embossed and colored with Copic Markers.  A dyed bow and matching pearls were added to finish the card.

The Peony Cluster is the Stamp of the Month and is free with a $75 order before shipping and tax from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.
The other stamp sets below were used on the cards above.

Thank so much for stopping by...
have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Cathy
