I have a great love of the ocean, so the new
Mer-mazing set was love at first sight for me. Here are a couple of cards with some serious ocean vibes featuring this fabulous new set. Creating a summer/beach themed card just happens to be the
June challenge in our VIP facebook group. We'd love to see your summer creations, and as always, there's a chance to win a gift voucher to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. So come join us in the group!
For my first card, I stamped the sand dollar image multiple times across a panel of cardstock, then colored with Copic markers. I used some copy paper to mask them off and then smooshed and splattered spray inks for the water. I then stamped the sentiment on a circle die cut and shaded to give the same feel as the sand dollars. My finishing touch was the adorable little flipflops, colored and fussy cut.
I couldn't not use this adorable little mermaid. I inked her up, colored with Copics and then fussy cut her. I love all the little accessory stamps in the
Mer-mazing set, so chose the two little flowers and colored them to match and layered them as a little flower in her hair.
The beach scene is created with distress oxide inks and a bit of white acrylic paint stippled on for the surf. I finished with the let's shell-ebrate sentiment and a few stamped and colored shells on the shore.
Alrighty, the next stop on the hop is my blog,
Poetic Artistry, where I'm sharing a few more cards with the new release. Before you go, here's a little look-see at the sets included in the JUNE release...
First up... the gorgeous MAY stamp of the month,
Peony Cluster, is now available to purchase! Timeless and elegant, the large floral cluster in this set packs a big punch. And meaningful quotes and verses round this out into a definite must have set.
Next up is the JUNE stamp of the month,
Happy Irises. Another beautiful floral set from Nina Brackett, there's something here to delight both those who love to color and those who would rather stamp in color! The inclusion of a few celebration sentiments make this set one to remember.
Happy Irises is available exclusively as a FREE gift with a $75 or more purchase during the month of JUNE.
This month marks the addition of a wonderful illustrator to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps lineup. Jennifer Nilsson's art is sure to delight you, starting with her very first set,
Mer-mazing. Build your own seaside story with this sweet little mermaid and her darling beach accessories. Delightful punny sentiments make for some fin-tastic projects.
The
Hymn Word Art set is a definite must-have in my opinion. Beautiful word art inspired by some timeless favorite hymns. They're large enough to make a focal point statement on a card, but there's still enough room to place additional imagery. A perfect way to share scripture.
Our next set,
Life & Lemons,
will have you counting your blessings and sipping on a tall glass of sweet tea (or lemonade). The sentiments and images are so fun and versatile they lend themselves to both cardmaking and bible journaling. Definitely a sweet set!
Speaking of sweet sets, the new
Sweet & Simple Alpha set finishes off our June lineup. It's a perfect pairing with the
Life & Lemons set and a great simple alpha to add to your stamping arsenal.
Alrighty, that's our June release in a nutshell! Thanks so much for hanging out with me as I reviewed this fantastic release.
May you be blessed today and always!
