Love never fails

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card that I made with the stamp set 'Fall in Love with Jesus'. This set is perfect for bible journaling but it works great on cards too.

The leaves where just screaming for a wreath so I drew a circle on my card and stamped the leaves on top of it. I colored the background with pink watercolors and let it airdry for a while. After that I colored the leaves with green watercolors and I made the little berries red. I adhered my watercolored panel to a kraft card and added a couple of pearl drops to finish the card.

After coloring with alcohol markers for a long time, I loved getting back to the watercolors for this card :D.

I hope you're inspired to create!

Fall Is In The Air!

Fall is finally here! The weather is finally a little cooler and the leaves are starting to change colors - I love it!

Today's cards are perfectly fall and so much fun! We have a Remix - a  FALL Remix called - Autumn Splendor. I created some "falling leaves" layouts using two different papers and different mediums to see what the differences would produce - they both make me smile out loud and I can't decide which one I prefer!

The first card is a one layer card using Neenah Dessert Storm (kraft). The leaves were colored with Polychromos pencils which are so wonderful on kraft. The colors just pop! I tried to create some dimension with shadows. It was a fun challenge and I am really happy
with the results.

My second card uses Canson watercolor paper, Brushos, and a Falling Leaves Stencil for a background panel and then for the focal point, I colored up the leaves with Inktense pencils for a watercolor look.

These were fun! I hope you are inspired to test out different papers and mediums and see what happens!

Thanks for stopping by!

2019 Cat Lovers Blog Hop

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! We're excited to once again be sponsoring a prize for the 2019 Cat Lovers Blog Hop. It's a hop to celebrate cats of all sizes and shapes during the last full week in October, since National Cat Day is October 29.

There is a large list of sponsors, and prizes for both commenting and participating by linking up a cat themed challenge on the Official Cat Lovers Blog Hop Post. We're one of the sponsors being highlighted today, so if you want to check that out, here's the link to our spotlight post.

We have a couple feline loving sets in the shop I thought I'd highlight today.

The first set is the Paw-some Pals set, which has some canine friends as well, but the kitty and mice images are so cute!

My card for today features the adorable kitty from this set.  I gave her a little toy mouse friend, because my cat, Moka, drags her little mouse toy everywhere she goes. They are constant companions.
Card by Julee Tilman features Paw-some Pals.

The second set is the sweet Kitty Love set, filled with lots of lovely cat silhouettes and some super fun sentiments like Proudly owned by a cat! Love it!

Card by Julie Gearinger featuring Kitty Love

We also have several digital cat images you might like to check out. Here's a darling card made by Korin featuring the Valentine Kitty Digi.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We hope you're "feline" good!

Praise the Lord!

"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!.....Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." Psalm 95

{jane bosi}  Friends!  Are you listening?  Our God is alive and active and He hears our prayers; He answers them!  I work with school age kids in a mental health day treatment program.  It's not an environment in which I routinely am able to speak the name of Jesus, but I pray for the kids we serve.  Sometimes, I pray very specifically for a child who has particularly grabbed my heart.  Will you join me in prayer for "my kiddos"?  God is working!  About a week or so ago, I prayed specifically that He would open a door that I am not able to open myself.  Today, that prayer was answered when my client showed me a self made tattoo of a cross.  I don't approve of the method (really thought I'd be doing a safety assessment) but the next words I heard were "Jesus loves me!"  Just the door I had prayed for and the ability to speak His name.  I needed that door just as much as my client.

How precious is our Great God?  In answering my prayer for another, He gifted me with the real and present proof that He hears me.  You know, sometimes, I just need that.  And, I'm grateful.  Grateful to bury another reminder of His love for me in my heart.  A reminder I'll draw from when the desert comes again.  Because it does.  But God.  He's always there; working even when I don't see it or feel it.  Sing Praise!!

I spent some time in my Psalm Journal using a bunch of goodies from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  My layout features the Happy ScarecrowTexture Tiles 1, Incredibly BlessedForever & AlwaysSing Loud and the October Stamp of the Month, Grateful Heart.

Sing!  Be Blessed, Jane

The Greatest of These

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share with you a couple projects using the Fall in Love with Jesus set from our October release.
This set was also a giveaway set at the creative worship retreat in which I didn't get to attend but I love this set.

I actually used it for a bible journaling page as well as a card to show it is versatile and can be used for both. For both of them I used the same two stencils by Gina K Designs along with the Life Changing Blender Brushes.

Happy Fall

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in to share a little autumn loveliness I've been creating with this month's release.

This little bear from Rhubarb's Harvest holding his pumpkin makes me smile. It reminds me of when my boys were younger and Trevor picked out a pumpkin almost twice his size. He's never shied away from a challenge, and watching him try to lift that big pumpkin sure did make me laugh!

I wanted to give the feeling of a beautiful October afternoon, so I colored him up with Copics, then blended around the edges with tumbled glass distress oxide. I did a little stamp surgery with the two uppermost falling leaves on the image, cutting them out so I could stamp them individually.  I added them to the largest stitched circle and colored with Copics, inking the edges with tumbled glass.

The sentiment is the final circle element, stamped in gathered twigs distress oxide and embossed clear.  The lovely embossing folder background is debossed with gathered twigs distress oxide, and I finished off with a seam binding bow and a glitter leaf sticker.

For my next little project, I made some fun treat bags for my kiddos. They love candy corn, so I couldn't resist coloring up the Candy Corn Cocoa digital image. This image is available as a freebie in our VIP Facebook Group this month.

These bag toppers are super quick to make. I cut a piece of black cardstock 3.5" x 4.25" and scored at 1.75". I then added a strip of patterned paper to the front that measures 1.5" x 4.25".  The digital image was printed on my laser printer and colored with Copics, then I cut with a circle die and matted onto a scalloped circle die cut. The sentiment is from the Heart Candy set. Then it was just a matter of filling a little bag with candy corn and closing it up. I like to staple each side of the bag to the back flap and use a strip double sided tape to secure the front flap to the bag.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fantastic weekend!

Rhubarb is Back

Hello sweet friends!  Have you had a chance to check out the October Release Blog Hop...there's still time to make your comments to qualify for the prize.  Click HERE to see all the details!

Cathy here with a couple of cards using the newly released Rhubarb's Harvest stamp set which is a remix of some of our favorite Rhubarb images perfect for celebrating fall.

An Oxide ink background was splattered with black acrylic paint and tinted texture paste applied through a rays stencil.  Rhubarb and the pumpkins were colored with Copic Markers.  The sentiments and pumpkins are from the Happy Scarecrow, Sentimental and Faith Wordfetti and Thoughtful Words stamp sets.

A small acrylic block was covered with Oxide Inks, spritzed with water and stamped four times on the bottom corner of a mixed media panel.  A little texture from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set was added to each of the squares.  The sentiment was stamped and the panel embossed with a woodgrain impression plate.  Rhubarb was popped onto a Tim Holtz die cut and added to the stamped squares.  The falling leaves are from the Happy Scarecrow stamp set and were were added to finish the card.

The stamp sets used to create these cards are available at the

My card today features the Autumn Splendor set. I just love the size of these beautiful Autumn leaves.

To create the card, I stamped the leaves randomly on a cream panel of cardstock in distress oxide inks (fired brick, rusy hinge, wild honey, and cracked pistachio). Next I embossed the smaller oak leaf in cracked pistachio and then watercolored with the same colors of ink. I then fussy cut this and masked off a rectangle for a background and watercolored it as well.  The sentiment is embossed in copper and then I added some distressing with antique linen and gathered twigs distress oxides and a few splatters with glimmer metallic ink.

Okay, the next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry.  But before you go, there's a SALE in the shop right now! Take a look...

The Splendor of Autumn

Hello Everyone!

Lee Ann here, sharing cards using the new set, Autumn Splendor.  I have been crafting up a storm with this set, ever since it actually started feeling like fall here in St Louis.  I love the different sized leaves, allowing for a lot of flexibility with how you use the stamps.

I used the larger of the images for this card as I planned on covering the card front.  Once I stamped the leaves onto Neenah Solar White CS using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I used the Typewriter Text Background Stamp-without mounting it on a block or the MISTI- and partially inked it with the same black ink and randomly stamped it over the leaves.  I love the texture it gives the leaves.
Then it was just a matter of coloring everything.  The entire card is colored with Copics, including the background.  I really did not do much shading. I tried to keep one half of each leaf darker than the other to give it dimension.  I colored the background similarly, darker around the darker side of the leaves.
The sentiment is heat embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder, which in real life, matches the orange colored leaves well.  I bit of linen thread behind the sentiment strip finishes the card.

My second card is water colored with my favorite Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  I love the vivid color you get with these powdered water colors.

I did no line coloring; the leaves were stamped in Memento Desert Sand ink on water color paper.  I used the wet on wet technique, dropping in various shades or yellow, orange, and red.  When the leaves were dry, I added the veins with Burnt Umber paint.
I stamped the sentiment, from Inspirational Word Art 1 and then framed it with a scalloped rectangle die and patterned paper.  I embellished it with my leaves and a bow.

That's it for me!  Don't forget the New Release Blog Hop tomorrow!
Happy Stamping!

Lee Ann

Punny cards

Hello everyone! A little throwback to one of the 'older' sets from this year. I love all the punny sentiments in this one and they work great on cards.

I stamped the images on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. After that I stamped the sentiments and I used a die cut to cut out the tags. I added a little ribbon on the top of the tags and searched for some matching background papers. I added a couple of pearl drops to finish the cards.

I used the stamp set Punny Love for these cards.
