Love Birds

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy friends!  Cathy here with a sweet little card to share with you today.  Dare to Get Dirty is going strong over at Splitcoaststampers, and the challenges designed for the Fan Club Members have been a lot of fun.  It's a wonderful time to try new techniques and to be stretched a little out of your comfort zone, so I decided to try a new watercolor technique!

A chevron stencil was pressed into a watercolor wash to remove some of the paint that was laid down in the upper right corner.  Now, the big question was...what to do with this panel?  Out came the adorable Love Birds clear stamp set and matching Love Birds Dies by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Before coloring the love birds, I did a google search and was surprised to see how colorful love birds really are!  The images were stamped, cut, and colored with Copic Markers.  The little trio of hearts were fussy cut so they could be individually placed on the card. They were colored with Wink of Stella and covered with a dab of Glossy Accents.  The sentiment was stamped on a banner and placed below the branch to finish the card.

Just a reminder:
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will have a booth at the Stampaway USA Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio this Saturday, August 9th.  Here is a coupon for you to grab if you are in the area and are planning to attend. Be sure to stop by and say hello to Korin and her family!

Finally, tomorrow we'll be having a challenge of our own right here on the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog!  Join us for a Store special, a new Friday Feature and Challenge, and a chance to win a prize!

Hope you've been inspired to try something new…thanks so much for visiting with us today!

Hugs,
Cathy
