Shine Your Light for all to See!

SNS-tea-light-set1

Hello everyone! Grace here.... This is my last project as guest designer with Sweet 'N Sassy! Where did the time go? I used this month's release, Shining Light and used the Treat Box Card instructions from the resources section on SCS. Instead of putting treats into the box on the side of the card, I used little tea lights. I also made a book mark out of one of the sentiments from this great set.

My base is Bazzill and the designer paper is Websters Pages Seaside Retreat. I stamped all the images and sentiments with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. The lighthouse image is lightly colored with SU! Chalks, then distressed by tearing the lower edges and sponging with Adirondak Latte Ink. I used Spellbinders Classic Circle die cuts to cut my small sentiment and the frame for it. The frame actually was cut with two sizes of circles, leaving the middle open. I then wound red hemp twine around it to look like a Life Saver. The sentiment is then adhered with foam dots. I used some re-purposed mesh from some vegetables I had bought and then kind of made up my own knot that looked kind of nautical to me (I don't know my knots!!! LOL). I tied those knots with twine to the life saver and also to my book mark.

I made my box open to the side, slid in three Village Candle tea lights in "Harbor Mist" color and scent. Yum! The picture above shows the card open. To close, you close the box, then tuck in the front of the card just behind it and that makes everything lie flat and makes a pretty presentation. I am going to hand deliver this so I did not add removable adhesive to the book mark, but you could if you were going to mail it. It also would have to be mailed in a box. I love this light house and the verses that go with it. I hope you have enjoyed this little project and are inspired to try one yourself.

I want to thank Korin and Janette for inviting me to guest design this month! I had lots of fun and appreciate all of you who took the time to stop and say hello!

Blessings,
