Leaves Are Everywhere!!

Happy Fall Y'all and Happy Halloween!!
I don't know about you but I have leaves EVERYWHERE. As soon as they are cleaned up a wind blows down an equal or greater amount to replace them! Ughh.
I finally got all my reports done and got a chance to play in ink this weekend. I played with some Splitcoast Stampers techniques and am in L-O-V-E with the results!
The first tutorial is called Joseph’s Coat.  I used the Falling Leaves Clear Stamp Set and the Autumn Collage Set. I created the background with distress inks (Spice Marmalade, Candy Apple Red, and Mustard Seed) then embossed the leaves over the colors and covered it all with vintage photo ink.  I embossed the sentiment with White embossing powder.
The second technique is a Wrinkle-Free Distress technique and the Leaf Skeleton BG. I created the colors of fall for this fun challenge. I embossed the sentiment from Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp Set with copper embossing powder on vellum.
I hope these inspire you to try something new!
Have a great one!

Autumn Blessings

Hello friends, Stephanie here with a Autumn card for you.  I just love this season and we just don't get much change here in the desert! I so miss the smell of Autumn, the crunch of the leaves as you walk and most of all apple picking!  I can't wait to move back east so we have the seasons again.  I am using 2 awesome sets Autumn Leaves and Grateful Greetings both of which are 20% off right now.  I stamped with distress inks onto watercolor paper, added the sentiment with memento ink and heat embossed to make it stand out and just layered away.

autumn thanks

Good morning!

Today I am sharing these cards using the So Grateful, Autumn Leaves, and Skeleton Leaf Background stamp sets.  They are 4 1/4" square, perfect for a little note of thanks.

I inked the leaf background image with 2 colors before stamping, a yellow and a peach.  Then I swiped the same inkpads over a scrap of white cardstock to stamp the Autumn Leaves on.  Although they look black, the leaves and sentiment are a dark brown.  The cards were simply finished with a few orange sequins.

Have a great day!

Autumn Leaves

Hi everyone!  Kim here today to share a clean and simple card created using just a few basic supplies...and that so wonderful Autumn Leaves stamp set.

I went a little artsy, technique-y (that's a serious crafter term) with this card. I started with a canvas ATC and then I swiped some nice fall Distress Inks on my non-stick craft sheet and hit 'em with some water from my mini mister. Once the ink was beading, I swiped the canvas through the ink. And I am loving the background result. It's the perfect colors of Fall!

Once the background was dry I stamped the leaves on to the canvas (press down hard when stamping on canvas) and added the sentiment.  My final step was to add an  extra leaf, which I created by stamping on a scrap piece of cardstock and coloring with Copics. Once the leaf was cut out it was attached with foam tape and I just added a few gold mini pearls. Fun, right?

I hope you enjoyed today's "technique-y" card and that it will inspire you to check out all of the wonderful stamps at Sweet 'n Sassy!

The Year's Last, Loveliest Smile - Guest Designer Jennifer Ingle

Hello, Sweet n' Sassy friends! This is Jennifer Ingle here with you for another Tuesday! As I excitedly grabbed the last bag of pumpkin spice bagels off the shelf at the grocery store yesterday, it hit me. Fall is truly here! And, alas, with that we say goodbye to summer and welcome in the beauty of this season of change! For today's card I decided to celebrate that transition using the beautiful Autumn Leaves Clear Stamp Set!
The Year's Last Smile
I stamped the leaves on the background and embossed them with gold enamel. I stamped the sentiment on a simple banner and added just a touch of coordinating washi tape and some gorgeous burlap string - a fall crafting essential!

Have you begun your fall crafting? If not, pull on some comfy crafting clothes, pour yourself a hot cup of spice tea or yummy cider or pumpkin spice coffee and grab a handful of candy corn because it's time to stamp some leaves and stuff! Just sayin'! Happy Fall, friends!
