Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends! It's already February...can you believe it..., and Easter comes early this year, so it's time to begin making those Easter cards. The new stamp sets being released this Friday will be just in time, and perfect, to help with this goal. The card I'm sharing with you today is a sneak peek of one of the new sets,
Easter Blessings. Since our very talented DT Diva,
Janette Olen, was the
Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers this past Sunday, my card is actually a CASE of her beautiful
Elegant Blessings card. You can see her gorgeous card by clicking on the link.
The cross image was colored with Copic Markers, cut with a Lattice Rectangle die, and sponged a little while still in the die. Some panels of My Mind's Eye DP were added as well as some embossing, some stitching, rhinestones, and a bow. I couldn't decide where to add the sentiment, so I'll be choosing one of the five sentiments included with this set to put on the inside. Hope I've inspired you to get a start on your Easter cards!
The beautiful cross reminds us of the price Jesus paid for our salvation. The good news is He is no longer on the cross, nor is He in the grave...HE IS ALIVE!
