Anemones and an IG Hop

Hi friends! Today the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps cardmaking team is putting on a hop over on Instagram! Head over there to see everyone's fabulous makes and leave comments on their IG posts for a chance to win! The hop starts on the SNSS IG page.

My card for today features the GORGEOUS Blooming Anemones set. I am completely smitten with these images! I used the large floral cluster stamped black as a corner background directly on the card base. Then I colored the long stemmed flower with Copics and fussy cut to pop up on a watercolored background. I finished off with a lovely verse from the Words of Jesus set.

January 2021 Release Blog Hop Winner

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee popping in with a little inky inspiration and some happy news for one of you blog hoppers!

As always, we had so much fun sharing the current release with you on our January Blog Hop. We so hope you enjoyed it, too, and gleaned a little inspiration for using this month's stamps! While we think you're ALL winners, we did randomly select ONE lucky reader from among all the comments on the hop to receive a $25 gift certificate to the Sweet 'n Sassy shop. This month's winner was selected from Lyn's post comments.

And the winner is...

Congratulations Deb!

Please send an email to snssassistant@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Now onto a little inspiration from me, mixing a couple of this month's releases with a couple of previous releases.

These have been trying times lately, and I often find myself sipping coffee, stamping cards, and praying. Prayers for miracles, prayers for healing, prayers for peace, prayers for hope in the darkness, and prayers for better days to come. I love that this Matthew 21:22 verse "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." is in stamp form!

I started with the to go cup image from I Like Big Cups, watercoloring the image and then fussy cutting.  I did the same with the image from Succulents, adding a bit of stickles for some glitz, then popping it up on the cup with foam tape for some dimension. The background is done with stamps from the Texture Tiles 9 stamp set, stamped tone on tone on pink cardstock.  I then stamped the verse from Words of Jesus on a scrap of patterned paper. I finished off with some inked edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Be Blessed

Good morning!

Jessica here with a couple of cards to share with you today that I made using the new Long Stem Silhouettes stamp set - one of my favorites from our January release!  I used two of the floral images and a sentiment for my first card - love all the greens on this one!

For my second card, I also used a sentiment from the Words of Jesus stamp set, stamped and embossed over the stamped flowers.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Comforting Words of Jesus

Good morning! Gloria with you today! This is my fifth and final week of being the October Guest Designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I used the Words of Jesus set for my final card.

I love scripture stamps, and this is a beautiful Word in a lovely font.

I stamped the sentiment, then cut it out with a die template. While the paper was still in the die, I sponged chalk into over it. I love the blue and green combination of the paper, so I added more with ribbons, flowers, and pins. I colored the pins with Copic markers.

Here is a view of the inside. I used a diamond die cut shape to mimic the diamonds on the paper. These are a set of nesting dies from Spellbinders.

I hope you enjoyed my guest posts this month! I have had such fun being part of the Sweet 'n Sassy team this month and I am very sad to say good-bye! I hope I get asked back again sometime! A special thanks to Korin for having me!

And all things...

Hello my friends! Giovana here bringing you a little bit of Fall colors today. I am so ready to Fall (my favorite season), so I decided to create a card using its colors.
For my card, I used a 3 different stamp sets and 2 sets of dies. I added some edge distressing and stitches. I stamped the butterflies direct on to Patterned Paper. The ink I used is Aged Mahogany Distress. Pretty comfy card, don't you think?

Sheltering Tree ~ Words of Jesus

stamps: words of Jesus, Sheltering Cherry Blossom

Happy Thursday everyone! It is a challenge for  me to make a CAS card and love it. So with all the partying earlier this week, a challenge was posted to make a CAS card. Here is my attempt. I love this scripture and the blooms from the recent release worked nicely together. I did add a few miniature pearls, but I just couldn't leave it alone...There I told you!

stamps: Sheltering Cherry Blossoms
Another card I made very quickly! It is layered twice on lacey scalloped oval. I love this set! Can you tell, I used it for the release and for this post.

What was your favourite in the recent release? I know, unfair question. They are all so nice!!!! sigh...

Thank you for visiting!!! Have a great rest of today and pull out your supplies to create your own version of CAS or another challenge on our member forum over at Splitcoaststampers. You could win a free stamp set! :-)
