thirsty soul

Good morning! Today I am sharing a few Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps projects that I recently made, two mini slimline cards and a decorated mini composition notebook.

Product links: Thirsty Soul Stamp & Die Bundle, Be EncouragedSpecial Blooms Stamp & Die Bundle (bundles are also sold separately).

To make the mini slimline cards, I followed the measurements in the April 2022 SheetLoad of Cards. It's a fun card design and a great way to get more use from your papers. The sentiment strip hangs slightly off the card front, which is shorter than the back. The first card has a sentiment from Be Encouraged and the sentiment on the second card was created with the cactus set. It has great images!

I used the Thirsty Soul Stamp & Die Bundle again to decorate a mini composition notebook. I have been using up some of my scraps on this smaller type of project. They are great for little gifts, and I've laid a bunch that I decorated for mini prayer journals on a free resource table at our church. They seem to be appreciated as they have disappeared pretty quickly!

Have a great day!
Diane

Watercolor Botanical Branches

Today I have a simple water color project. I stamped one of the Botanical Branches several times with various colors of Distress Ink then I “water colored in the leaves” with those same inks. I spritzed the page and let the ink bleed a bit then I pressed a paper towel to dry it some. I split the panel and inserted a sentiment strip from Be Encouraged in the middle of the pieces to make the stems look longer.

This was really simple but the results are so pretty – I love it! I hope you are inspired today!

Joy Comes in the Morning

Hi friends! It's Julee popping in with a bit of paper sunshine for your Wednesday! When I was playing around with the new stencils in the shop the other day for a different card, I had this panel left over that was a "clean-up" page for my Grunge Dots Stencil with pinks and yellows. I loved the look of it, so decided to  cut it down for a card and start playing some more.  First I grabbed the Rise & Shine Stencil and used some neon yellow glitter paste to add the sun.  The glimmer was super hard to capture in the photograph, but has such great dimension and shine in real life.  I then embossed the clouds from Texture Tiles 10 onto the top of the panel in white and filled in with some nuvo drops.

I embossed the sentiment from Be Encouraged onto a white strip of cardstock, then lined up where I wanted it to figure out where to add the stencil so it looks like it's continuing the sunshine pattern.  The flower is from the Alleluia Lilies set, which I colored with a mix of dye inks, a waterbrush, then added a few accents with Copics and a white gel pen.  I added a bit of brown ink for a little grunginess to the panel.

The card background was my first attempt at using a stencil to emboss a background in my die cut machine.  I used the Grunge Dots stencil and ran through with an embossing mat to get a nice texture to the paper, then I blended with brown and pink inks to continue that grunge look.  Such a fun mix of products in this release!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a joyful day!

Deserts and Bees

Hello Friends, Esther here with two fun cards to share with you! This first one is a desert scene using the Landscape Silhouette stamp set. I inked up the top half of a watercolor paper with pink and purple distress oxides and added some paint splatter stars. Originally I had masked off the moon, but had a little "whoopsie" with my ink so I ended up cutting a large white circle  to cover it up.  It was my first time to use the Landscape Silhouette stamp set, and I'm loving how it turned out!

Flower love

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of flowery cards. I LOVE flower images!

First up is a delightful card with scrap pieces from my desk... yes, I had a whole lot of stuff on my desk... including some heat embossed and water colored daisies. The flowers came from Delightful Daisies clear stamp set.

The background was made with Tim Holtz alcohol inks... one of the many I have made and piled up for future cards... the vellum overlay was die cut with a background die I got during a Hobby Lobby clearance event...
The sentiment is from Be Encouraged clear stamp set
I also had a sweet heat embossed vellum butterfly on my desk, so it had to go on it... it's from Made New clear stamp set

Next is another card filled with pretty flowers... I just love clustering these sweet petite images from Genuine Love clear stamp set. I arranged the flowers around the girl image from Girl Power 2 clear stamp set

The background was stamped with Typewriter Text Background clear stamp set

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by!

April Stamp of the Month: Happy Day

Hello! It's Monika here today showcasing the April Stamp of the Month set: Happy Day clear stamp set.
I love flowers and this set has super cute images that are perfect for card making, scrap booking and Bible journaling.

My first card is an encouragement card with water colored, fussy cut images... I love the extra dimension with the popped up images.

The background was sponged with green distress ink (Tim Holtz) then spritzed with water... the subtle green is the perfect backdrop to the vibrant images. I used Jane Davenport water color markers for the coloring. The greeting is from Be Encouraged clear stamp set, my go to encouragement sentiment set!

My second card is a square birthday card... I hand drew the wreath and dressed it up with stamped and punched images. You must have seen the sweet wreath cards from last month from the DT, using Genuine Love clear stamp set... I used the same idea, with some of the images from Happy Day stamp set. Again, I used Jane Davenport water color markers for the coloring.

The first part of the greeting is from Happy Day clear stamp set... the BIRTHDAY image is from So Happy clear stamp set.

I love adding little details to my cards... flower clusters and rhinestones (and some Nuvo crystal drops)!

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Two cards to share.....

Hello friends, Stephanie here today.  I have 2 cards to share with you today.
This first card uses Girl Power 2 which is back in stock along with a few older sets, Be Encouraged,
Choose Faith and Truth Quotes.  I wanted a fun, cheerful card to give to our neighbor who is fighting Ewing's Sarcoma and I think these stamp sets all worked well together.  I colored her with copics and paper pieced her shirt, the papers come from Pink & Main.
I made a bridal shower card which could also be used as a wedding card or engagement card using the heart from Forever & Always and the word love from His Love.  This paper is from DCWV.  I stamped the heart with pink ink and heat embossed it and did some fussy cutting and added it to an embossed circle.  Wow, those two cards used a lot of stamp sets!  Don't forget that if you spend $75 you will receive the stamp of the month for free!

His mercies are new...

Hello! It's Monika here today with a Fall card.
The end of summer is already upon us, so it's time to think FALL. Our August release is full of Autumn images, perfect for the cooler weather and for Thanksgiving. I love the August Stamp of the Month: Give Thanks.

I sponged a piece of water color cardstock with Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs, and Candy Apple distress inks using a sponge applicator. After the ink was dry, I stamped the leaves with VersaMark ink, and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I splashed some water on the paper to add some texture... then fussy cut the images.
On the background, I dripped Golden Yellow Dr. Martin Bombay India Ink on the top of the card stock, then spritzed some water over it. I love the cool look!

The greeting is from Be Encouraged clear stamp set. It seemed perfect with the falling leaves...
Thank you for stopping by,
Monika
