Snail Village ATC Card

Today I have a fun card that uses an ATC card as it's focal point. I first created the ATC and then decided it would be a fun card so I went for it...

I started with an ATC panel of watercolor paper. I smooshed some Distress Oxides (Hickory Smoke and Aged Mahogany.) I added a little color texture with the bitty heart stencil that I spritzed with water so it blended into the background. I added more texture around the edges with the Grunge Elements 3 and Texture Tiles 7. With my backgrounds created, I colored up my Snail House from Snail Village and fussy cut it. I added a little washi for it to sit on and added a sentiment. ATC done.

For the card, I simply layered some Neenah Solar White and Bazzill Brick cardstock and that is that. I love it!

I hope you like it and are inspired!

Have a great day!

Background Builder Stripes

Today I have a couple of cards to share using the new Background Builder Stripes set. This set has so many possibilities but I decided to go plaid with my cards. One straight up and across and the other on the diagonal. I also decided to play in my stash and I found two colored up flowers (from Scribble Flowers set) left over from a recent ATC coin swap with the SNSS DT that seemed to be the perfect fit for both cards... How could I not use them?

Card number one uses distress inks in reds and yellows I tried to go ombre-ish with my plaid in both directions. I added my flower (grounded with some washi) and then used one of my favorite sentiments by clipping out some of the phrases from the Texture Tiles 7 word block. For some reason, I just love those tiny words.

Card number two used black ink (VersaClair Nocturne) to create a diagonal plaid - I love this plaid so much!! I will be creating lots more of these backgrounds. I created a wide strip for the sentiment from My Thoughts of You and added another Scribble Flower.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5274-copy.jpg

I hope you are inspired to play with this stripe background builder. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

I hope you and yours have a wonderful and blessed Christmas. Regardless of what has happened this year, the true sign of hope for our future was born this day...Happy Birthday Jesus!

I had to create some quick tags for my final round of Christmas gifts and they turned out so sweet and simple but still "hand made". I die cut a bunch of tags, used the musical notes from Texture Tiles 7 (a great year round set), then I picked out the sentiments from Christmas Wordfetti that were based on Christmas songs. I love the look!

Merry Christmas!

Hugs!

vintage romance

Good morning! I have two cards to share today using the new Vintage Romance stamp set. I also used Texture Tiles 7 on this first card. I am still in love with the macarons image and found some matching paper in my stash! If you like this layout, the middle square is 2" and the side squares are 1 1/2".

I used some papers from the same pack for my second card and stamped/layered the vintage bottles. Here, the three top strips are 1x4 and the bottom patterned paper piece is 2 1/4 x 4.

Have a blessed Sunday!
Diane

Deeds created another fabulous valentine using the xo tile from Texture Tiles 7, Much Love, and My Punny Valentine.

My Punny Valentine is the next set in our spotlight. These whimsical images and punny sayings make the best little valentines, lunch notes, or pick me ups.

Guest Designer Lieschen Harshbarger created this fabulous little card with My Punny Valentine. Love how she used the sucker for the background as well as for the focal point.

Our next set is the beautiful  Vintage Romance set. With a Parisian feel and elegant script, romance is definitely in the air!

Lieschen has us all craving macarons with this beauty she created with the Vintage Romance set.

Our next spotlight set coordinates beautifully with the other sets in this release. Rose Background is a lovely background of roses.  For even more from this set, stamp and cut the roses separately as accents.

Love the drama in this card by Lieschen. She embossed the Rose Background on black cardstock, then added a sentiment from Vintage Romance to create this beauty.

Our Creative Worship set this month is a lovely prayer themed set. Prayer Time has a whopping 36 stamps in it, perfect for journaling and other projects.

Colleen created a lovely prayer journal with Prayer Time. She also used our Typewriter Text Background and Texture Tiles 1.

That's our December Release in a nutshell! So many fabulous sets to choose from! What's your favorite? Let us know in the comments.

Your next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry.

May you be blessed today and always!

  • Trim the slight excess from the right side of your card front

Rose Backgrounds

Today I have two clean and simple cards using the new Rose Background set. This stamp feels quite vintage to me so I chose color to compliment that.

For the first card, I stamped the background on Neenah Dessert Sand 4.25"x 4.25" card base and colored it with a combo of Copic markers and Polychromos color pencils. I added a simple sentiment and that is all for this one.

The second card uses the Rose Background inked in Festive Berries Distress Oxides. I used a water brush to fill in the roses and then added a little green to the leaves. I then stamped over the flowers with Texture Tiles 7 and added a sentiment from Love Wordfetti which is a perfect match for this texture tile set.

There you have it - two CAS cards with a little vintage feel. I hope you are inspired!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love You More

Hi friends! It's Julee popping in to share a little inspiration with the December release. My cards for today features the December Stamp of the Month, Much Love. Our stamp of the month is available in the shop to purchase, or you can receive it as a free gift with a $75 order in the month of December. Just add it to your cart before you check out and it will automatically apply the promotion.

On this first card I layered things up with Valentine's papers from years gone by.  When I was a kid my favorite time of year was when we'd make valentines in school.  I just loved layering all the papers and construction paper hearts.  Guess I'm still a kid at heart!

The sentiment is from the Much Love set, and I stamped a background using one of the tiles from the NEW Texture Tiles 7 set.  I just love these sweet hearts! I finished off with some die cuts and then layered everything together for this fun Valentine.

This second card uses the title sentiment from Much Love, embossed on white cardstock. The background is the beautiful new Rose Background, which I embossed in white, then ink blended with tumbled glass and salty ocean distress oxides. The heart locket is from the NEW Vintage Romance set.  I colored with Zig markers, then fussy cut and added to this fun square card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day.
