Love

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made with the 'In Stitches' Alpha and the flowers from 'Be a Flamingo'.

The alpha stamp sets give you lots and lots of possibilities. You can write every word you want and they're perfect for bible journaling pages. But I also like to use them on cards to create short words. That's what I did for this card.

I stamped the word 'love' on patterned paper and cut it out. I stamped the leaves and flower and colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out too. After that I created the background with the hearts with a stencil and some purple ink. I die cut a circle out of patterned paper and adhered the stamped elements on top of it. I added a couple of enamel dots and sequins to finish the card.

Floral cards with a message

Hello everyone! I love to use short messages on my cards so the Peony Cluster stamp set and the Surrounded in Prayer set had some beautiful stamps for me. I used the stamp sets in combination with the flower and leaves from the Be a Flamingo set.

I stamped the images on white paper and colored them with alcohol markers. After that I cut them out and searched for some matching floral patterned papers.

I stamped the messages on papers with a soft background color or pattern so the message would still be readable.

When you're in doubt about the colors that you want to use for your images; take a look at all the beautiful patterned papers. You can get a lot of color inspiration from them!

Fruits of the Spirit

I have been seeing some great sentiments lately and I L-O-V-E the look of mixed fonts in a sentiment. I dug through my Sweet N Sassy sets to see what combos I could make for some 4″x4″ cards. It was lots of fun and a great way to stretch my stamps!
All of my cards use the fruits from the Fruit of the Spirit Stamp Set. Then I used Be a Flamingo, Give Thanks, Skinny Caps Alpha, and Bitty Minnie Alpha for my Sentiments. Some watercolor splashes in the background complete the look.
Here are my samples:
I hope you are inspired!

Being Fruity

Hello sweet friends!  Cathy here with two cards using a fun new stamp set released this month, Fruit of the Spirit!

I took the strawberry in the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set and dipped it in chocolate...SWEET!

The background was created with one of the stamps in the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set and a little Glossy Accents was used to make the chocolate nice and shiny.  Add a few sprinkles in the shaker card and you have one SWEET card!

The background on this card features the pineapple from the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set.  The splatters were made with one of the stamps in the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set.  The flamingo from the Be a Flamingo stamp set just dropped in to say, "hello!"  The letters in the sentiment are from the Sunshine Girl Alpha.  The design for this card comes from the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.

Next time you are feeling a little fruity...just reach for the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Cathy

Be a flamingo

I just can't get enough of this beautiful flamingo stamp. It's so pretty and gives a summer feeling immediately.
For this card I stamped the flower first and added the leaves and flamingo 'behind' it. I colored the images with alcohol markers and cut it out. I adhered the image on a die cut circle. I added a fun pink/orange background behind it and I made a geometric background on the other half of the card with ink and a stencil. The flamingo doesn't need much to make a beautiful card :).

Stand Out

Hello Sweet Friends!  It's Sheri here today sharing a card featuring the NEW Be A Flamingo stamp set.  As soon as I saw this set I had to have it!  The possibilities are endless with this set!

For my card I stamped the flamingo with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I then added Glossy Accents to the beak and took a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen to add sparkle to the rest of the image.  Then I picked a sentiment and fussy cut the Flamingo before adding it to my card with some foam pop dots (I LOVE adding dimension and layers to my cards).

The Texture Tiles 2 stamp set is the June 2018 Stamp of the Month and is FREE with a $75 order (after all discounts and before shipping & tax) through 6/30/18

Happy Stamping!

be a flamingo.

Hello! It's Monika here today. I am so happy to be back with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! It was a long break. I missed creating with the fantastic SNSS images...

This month's release is (FL)AMAZING! One of my favorites is (surprise, surprise!) Be A Flamingo clear stamp set. Love the pretty hibiscus images and the sweet flamingo. Great script words! What a perfect summer set!

Today I have couple of girly cards.
My first card is using the big flower and leaf images...

I colored the images with Kuretake Gansai Tanbi water colors then splashed black and white ink on it... love the messy look! The background was smooshed in black distress ink.
The sentiment is from one of my all time favorites, Be Encouraged clear stamp set.

My second card is highlighting the oh, so fabulous flamingo image. What a great size! I again, water colored the images then fussy cut them. This time, the background was first sponged with yellow distress ink, then splashed with water.

I hope I inspired you to create!
Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

You Are Flamazing!

Hello sweet friends!  I have two flamazing samples to share with you today that were made with the new Be a Flamingo stamp set.

The water on the background was white embossed using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  The scene was masked and sponged.  Isn't that flamingo just adorable?  The flamingo and the leaves were colored with Copic Markers.  The wing on the flamingo was paper pieced.

The leaf from the Be a Flamingo stamp was white embossed repeatedly over a panel of watercolor paper and then watercolored.  Then the leaf was stamped over the panel with Archival Ink.  Three tags were die cut from this panel.  A masked off strip on the background...hard to see behind the tags...was stamped using one of the Texture Tiles 2 stamps.  The Copic colored flamingo and hibiscus were cut out and popped onto the tags to finish the card.

So many possibilities with the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set which also happens to be the June Stamp of the Month...FREE with a $75 purchase!

Be sure to check out these FLAMAZING stamps sets as well as the whole new June release at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Flamazing....

{jane bosi}  It's been flamazing lately.....my second child is a high school graduate and new car owner all in the span of two days!!  Yikes!!

In a busy life, one of my greatest sources of relaxation is creating with goodies from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  June's release is super fantastic--I cannot get enough of the Be A Flamingo stamp set.

I created a resist by heat embossing the background piece and using various brusho inks.  I love the way it turned out--Brusho's are finicky (or maybe its my skill level) but I love that in some ways. Life is often unexpected and you have to deal with what you've got--right?  You just never quite know until you get there!
For my second card, I created a background of leaves and flowers, again, using Versamark Ink.  Using a friend die, I created  a die cut window to show off that fancy bird again!  I love her.  Inked in white or black, she makes a statement--Be Flamazing!!

Have a great day!! Make it Flamazing--Jane

Be a Flamingo

Hi everyone, Stephanie here with 2 cards for you using one of our New Release sets for June.  I so LOVE this set called Be A Flamingo - OMGosh, so cute and versatile!  I used Memento Ink to stamp with and the paper is from DCWV.
On this next card I am using Be A Flamingo again along with Party Pals, Scripty Thoughts and I used one of the stamps from Texture Tiles 2 (which is the stamp of the month for June, Free with $75 purchase) to make the ground under the flamingo.  I intended it to look like a dock but hubby says it doesn't!   I colored with Copics and the paper is Fandango by Craft Smith, I found it at Hobby Lobby.
