Friends in Faith

Hello everyone! Today I want to share this card I made with the Girl Power 2 stamp set. I love all the different girls and I just stamped an entire page with different images that I colored. After that I cut them out with my Silhouette. This gave me a lot of images to work with :).

I colored the images with alcohol markers and stamped the message with a black (Archival) ink and the Happy Alpha stamp set. I die cut a rectangle with a stitched border effect and distressed the border with Versamagic ink. I loved the background paper with the flowers and beautiful words so I really wanted to use that for this card. A kind of 'friends in faith' card.

Girl Power!

Hello everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made with the Girl Power 2 stamp set. I was so happy when I saw this second Girl Power set! You just can't have enough faces haha.

I stamped the image on marker paper and colored it with alcohol markers. After that I cut it out and started preparing my card. I used a stencil for the background that you can see at the top and bottom of the card. The other patterns are from scrap pieces of patterned paper that I had laying around. When I adhered everything I only had to add the enamel dots and this card was finished!

I made another card with the same stamp set and the process for this card is almost the same. I colored the image with alcohol markers and looked for a matching background. The heart is an enamel sticker and the other dots are just pearl drops.

I hope you're as enthusiastic as I am about this set! And that I could inspire you to make something with it :)

The Armor of God

{jane bosi}  Ephesians 6  Starting in verse 10:  "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil....."

Keep reading my friends!!!  Such a rich word picture that is created for us and practical advice on exactly how we are to arm ourselves for the very real battles happening in this fallen world every day!  I can attest to attacks from the evil one.  He bombards me on the regular, but my God is stronger and has led me to His truths on which I can stand firmly!

I was so excited to receive my Armor of God set from the Sweet N Sassy Stamps September release, I couldn't wait to use it in my bullet journal (above).  It's the perfect addition to my journal and helps to keep me strong and focused on the promises of God!

I also used Armor of God and a few other goodies (His Wings, Brotherly Love, Girl Power and Mini Grunge Alpha) to create this sweet little prayer box:

It's just a mint tin, but who knew?  A great way to re-purpose what others might consider garbage.  I've created a small card which fits inside the tiny tin, but has plenty of space to record my specific prayer requests for those I am praying over.  I keep it right next to my bed and can go through each card at night or first thing in the morning.  Most prayers are never far from my lips, but I also like the tangible visual reminder.

Be blessed, Jane

great guys

Good morning! I am sharing some cards today using a Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp set, Brotherly Love, from the June Release. I also used Girl Power and Bitty Minnie Alpha. I paired the guys and girls on my first card to make a wedding card.

There are a few different hats for the guys in the Brotherly Love set. I turned one into a camo hat on my second card since we have lots of hunters in our family.

These sets are very versatile and although they were designed for bible journaling, you can see they are great for cards too.

Have a great day!

You Are SPEC-tacular!

Hello friends!  Cathy here sharing several cards using products from the April and May release.  First up is a card using the popular Girl Power stamp set.

The little glasses in the Girl Power set was the inspiration for this card.  After stamping and coloring the frames, Glossy Accents was added to the lenses for texture.  The speckled back ground was stamped with one of the Texture Tiles 1 stamps and white embossed.  Nuvo Embellishment Mousse was sponged over the embossing for a glorious shimmer.  The cool Girl Power girl was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and popped onto the card.  The stamp sets used to create the sentiment include, Words of Life: Common Words 1, Skinny Caps Alpha, and Mini Grunge Type Alpha.  How fun!

My next sample is a shaker card created with the adorable unicorn from the Be Unique stamp set.

The "Wrinkle Free Distress Background" was created with the little diamond stamp included in the Be Unique stamp set and one of the stamps in the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set.  The rainbow and unicorn were Copic colored, fussy cut and popped onto the front of the card.  Sparkly sequins were used to fill the shaker card.

That's it for me today...thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to stop again soon to see samples using the new June Release!
Have a blessed day!

Hugs,
Cathy

A "Me" ATC with Girl Power

So...I recently joined a swap to do an ATC. Not sure what drove me to do it except it looked like fun. What is an ATC you ask, well I didn't really know either so I looked it up - it is an Artist Trading Card and artist all over create these little mini (2.5"X3.5) works of art and trade them with each other.

They are adorable and fun, and while I don't see myself trading a lot, (though I never say never :)) I do think think they could be used in so many other ways - you could mount them on the front of a card, put them in a scrapbook, use them as a tip in for your Bible journaling, just to name a few.

So what does this have to do with my post today? Well...when Sweet N Sassy came out with the new stamp set called Girl Power, for some reason it made me think of the Wii avatars (Mii) and I saw myself in the choices. I thought how fun would it be to create a "Me" on an ATC so if I did trade, it would be kinda like a self portrait (haha!)

It was so much fun! I chose my hairstyle, colored her with Copics, and added Glasses. I fussy cut her and mounted her on a mixed media piece  (which includes some inking of Texture Tiles 1 Clear Stamp Set and was messy and sooo fun all by itself), then I stamped a few power words from the May 2018 Stamp of the Month: Scripty Thoughts set "Blessings, Prayers, and, Love" and cut them out to add to my ATC.

In the end, these cute little cards make me very happy. They are bright, colorful and fun (which I have said like a hundred times now so it tells you how great it really is!) I am going to use one in my Bible and the other I am going to frame as a little work of art :)

I hope you were inspired!!

Thanks for stopping by!

sending hugs

Good morning! I am sharing some cards today using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp sets from the May Release. Here I used Girl Power, Itty Bitty Blossoms, and the May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts (free with your $75 order). It is a great release and Girl Power keeps selling out...so be sure to grab yours!

The girls were designed for Bible Journaling but they work nicely for card making too. I wanted to put one in a window so I die cut a pretty one and stamped some Itty Bitty Blossoms above.

I also die cut an opening on my second card for another girl. Then I highlighted some words with a circle punch and banner die. Her clothing was paper pieced.

Have a great day!

Girl Power

Hello Sweet Friends!  Can I just tell you how much fun the new Girl Power Stamp Set from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps May Release is to use?!  You will seriously want to start putting these girls on every card you create.  The possibilities for dressing them up are endless!  I have two cards to share with you today using this fun new set.  This first one is my favorite!

I started by creating a galaxy sky with Distress Oxide Inks.  A circle was cut from the panel for the world from the Send Me stamp set.  The sentiment from Timeless Hymns was white embossed and then the fun began!   Five of the girls from the Girl Power set were stamped and dressed using many of the little accessories included in the stamp set.  I had so much fun practicing different skin and hair colors using Copic Markers.  ***LOVE***

The second card was created for a birthday because you can never have too many birthday cards in your stash!

The card base and panels were made with papers from Dare to B Artsy and the main panel was embossed with a burlap texture plate.  The wavy-haired girl from the Girl Power set was colored with Copic Markers except for her top which was paper pieced.  Her glasses were gold embossed, fussy cut and popped up...Glossy Accents was added to the glass lenses.  A flower from the new Itty Bitty Blossoms stamp set was fussy cut and added to her top.  The sentiment is from the Scripty Thoughts stamp set which is FREE this month with a $75 purchase.
HOW FUN!!

Thanks so much for stopping by..have a wonderfully blessed day!

Bitty Blossom Bonanza

Hello Sweet Friends!  It's Cathy here to share several cards using the awesome new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps May Release!  Both cards feature the Itty Bitty Blossoms stamp set which is soooo much fun.

The small elements in the Itty Bitty Blossoms set are perfect for creating wreaths which is what was done here.  There was just enough space in the middle of the wreath to stamp one of the girls from the fun new Girl Power stamp set.  The girl was cut with a stitched circle die so the wreath frame could be popped up.  SNSS Alphabet sets can be used to add just the right sentiment...the Rebecca Script Alpha was used on this card.

Love the new Itty Bitty Blossoms paired with Whimsy Bouquet for creating backgrounds!

Flowers from both sets were white embossed...then Katherine Pooler inks were sponged over the embossing to create a vibrant rainbow.  A SNSS retired birthday word die was cut from the panel and then cut five more times to be stacked and popped back into the card.  (You could use any word die you have for this.)  The "Happy" from the Companion Words stamp set was stamped in rainbow colors along the left side.  "To You" is from the new Scripty Thoughts stamp set which is the Stamp of the Month for May and is FREE with a $75 purchase!  (Hint: This will be easy to do since you will want this whole release...it's amazing!)

Thanks so much for stopping by...happy stamping until next time!

Hugs,
Cathy
