Speaking of stamp offerings, for my card today, I'm so excited to be sharing a super sneak peek of a set releasing on October 1. Squee! I love this sweet little gnome holding a cuppa something awesome from the upcoming Winter Gnomes set and couldn't wait to ink him up! I colored him up in winter blues, and then masked off to do a little ink blended sky behind him. Pure caffeinated slimline fun.

From Esther comes this Autumn beauty featuring Bushel of Blessings, Incredibly Blessed, and the Coffee & Bible Journaling Digital. Such a fun chalkboard effect and I love how she dressed up the cups for fall!

Jane created this fabulous fall creation by combining cups from Fill Me Up and the coordinating dies, leaves from Give Thanks and a sentiment from Sentimental Wordfetti.

Lee Ann filled her cup from In This Together with images from Fur-Ever Friends and a sentiment from Tea for Two on this delightful card.

Autumn Blessings

Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here today to share an Autumn themed Card featuring the NEW Bushel of Blessings stamp set from the August 2020 Release!

I love the images in this set and there are so many possibilities.  I know that sometimes I don't like to color and still would like an elegant looking card.  Well how about a little embossing and ink blending?  Not good at ink blending?  Here's a little trick...I start with a piece of colored card stock instead of white.  You will not only use less ink but will have a little glow in the middle of your image.

1. One a piece of mustard colored card stock stamp the image and sentiment with a Embossing Ink (Versamark), sprinkle embossing powder (gold), and heat set with embossing heat tool.
2. I used the coordinating mustard ink and a light brown along with a ink blending tool. Start with your lighter color and work from the edge and around the card. Don't cover the entire image...I leave the center alone so it looks like there's a bit of  a glow. You can then add the darker color with a very light hand.  You can repeat and stop when you get the desired look.  I always start of the paper and find working on a glass mat very helpful. 
3. The Gold mat was created by taking the Embossing ink direct to paper along the edges of the card stock and embossing with the same embossing powder.  It's an easy way to make sure your golds match.

A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
Gold Mat: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Stamped Image Layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Blessings of Autumn

 

Hello friends, Esther here with a square card featuring the NEW "Bushel of Blessings" stamp set. I stamped it on watercolor paper, colored it with my Arteza Real Brush Pens, fussy cut, and popped it up on my card front.  I really wanted the main image to shine so I kept the background layers to minimum and left plenty of white space.

Bushel of Blessings

Good morning! Today I have two fall cards to share with a new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set. This one is called Bushel of Blessings. For both cards I "colored" and created the background using the acrylic block technique (apply ink to the block, spritz with water, and then apply to the paper).

For the second card, I made sure the acrylic block was mostly covered with ink so I would get the wavy shape of it.

Heading Into Fall

 Hello All!  

Things are getting a little crazy around here as I finally get to head back to work/school tomorrow.  We have a whole host of new guidelines and procedures to follow.  And back to school means fall is right around the corner.  Whaaaat??  

Of course with fall come the fall holidays, including Veteran's Day.  The new stamp set, The Lord's Battle is perfect for that thank you card for a veteran. 

I cannot tell you how much I love this stamp set!  It is so versatile. And I don't know what it is but I love coloring these boots!  The boots were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink using the MISTI, and then colored with Copics.  Once I was happy with the coloring, I put the image panel back in the MISTI and stamped over it again, this time using Versafine Onyx Black ink for crisp, dark lines.  

Next up, the background panel.  I loosely drew in an oversized flag on some Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor Paper.  I wanted a smooth surface so that the large words would stamp with complete coverage.   I painted the flag with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  

When the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the God Bless America Stamp Set. I again used the MISTI so I could double stamp the words if necessary.  Versafine Onyx Black ink was used for the sentiment.  The boots were popped up on dimensional adhesive.  

Fall also ushers in all of the goodness of nature- colorful leaves, fall harvest, and pumpkins.  I really do love fall! This next card is ALL things fall!  It is the newest by Jenn Nilsson, Bushel of Blessings.  

This card got all mixed media'y' mostly because I had no mojo and everything I did made it worse!  The gorgeous image was stamped in Antique Linen Distress ink and then colored with Copics.  And the more I colored, well, it just wasn't looking good.  So,  when all else fails, throw more at it!  So I added in detail with Prismacolor Pencils.  But I still was not getting into things, so I ended up fussy cutting the image out.  I decided it needed a dark background, so pulled out a gel plate print I had in my stash.  

I was finally getting somewhere.  I added a partial circle behind the wheelbarrow and then added an orange mat to the print panel.  To tie in the orange, I added orange sentiment strips.  The sentiment is from the Lots a Spots Stamp Set.  Finally, a few sequins finish the card!

Autumn Blessings

Hello friends, Esther here with a fall card in non-traditional colors! I created a subtle background by stamping a sunflower in versamark watermark ink on my dark blue paper, and added interest to my label with some faux stitching done with a white gel pen. The main image was colored with Arteza Watercolor Pencils -- I'm still trying to get the hang of them!

Two Cards, Same Color Palette

Hello! 

I hope you are enjoying all of the new release inspiration; I have been having so much fun creating with the August stamps. 

I decided it would be fun to make two completely different cards , but in the same color palette.  Let's start with the more subtle of the two~

This beauty is from the stamp set, Bushel of Blessings; the image is stamped on Neenah Solar White cs and colored with Copics.  I am really trying to loosen up in my coloring; I hope it shows here!   I used a sentiment from the set as well- don't you just love the font!!?! - and stamped it in a dark brown ink.  Then I embellished the image panel with layers of patterned paper and cardstock.  A few sequins and a hemp twine bow finish it off. 

Next up, the EXACT same marker colors, using the Like a Sunflower Stamp Set.   

Yep, this one is BOLD!  I stamped the image multiple times on Neenah Solar white cs with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored the images and the background with the Copic markers.  I also added Glossy Accents to the flower centers. The sentiment, from the Rose Banner Stamp Set, was heat embossed in white on black cs.  I die cut a small circle from a sponged scrap panel I had sitting on my desk and used it to ground the sentiment strip.
