Florals

{jane bosi} Hello Sweet Friends!!  Today, (Lord willing) I'm recovering from surgery.  If you would be so kind as to remember me in your prayers?  I do believe in the power of prayer and continue to pray for all of you!

I wanted to share some cards I made as a gift for my momma this Christmas.  The set features four cards using several of my most favorite floral sets in the SNSS store!
Happy Irises, Thoughtful Words
Delightful Daisies, Happy Day
Spring Blossoms, Lots of Love
Rose Banner

I pray that your day is blessed with peace, and that no matter what is happening in your space, that you are growing nearer to our Great God--Jane

Hope

{jane bosi}  I could start a regular creative feature where I show you how I resurrected some project after a major mess up or goof!  I'm telling you, Sisters (and Brothers?) I painstakingly water colored this faithdex card.  And, I loved it!  The florals from Happy Irises are fun to color!  It was going to be fabulous.  I was proud of it.  I couldn't wait to share it.  Just one last step--add the sentiment from The Future set....

I may have CRIED. OUT. LOUD.

This is not an optical illusion or fuzzy computer screen--this is the real deal.  I was just about to start over, when that little creative voice whispered--fix it.

And, just like in real life, the Word came to my rescue.  I pulled a page from a thrift store bible straight out of the sermon my pastor preached that day--about Hope.  This little project is a great reminder of how God works with our broken pieces.  Battered and torn though we may be, He uses it all for His glory.  And, Hope came down so we could be restored.

I will hope in the character of God.  His plan, His provision, His love, His will.  Let it be.

I finished the backside of this card with more iris images and stamps from Typewriter Block Alphabet and Trust In The Lord.

In Him, Jane

A Good Day to Have a Good Day

Hello, sweet friends!  Hope all of you in the USA had a blast on the 4th of July yesterday!  Today is Friday and it's a good day to have a good day!

***This post contains affiliate links at no additional charge to you.***

Cathy here and I have a couple of cards to share using some of the new products released this month by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

My first card features the Over the Moon stamp set designed Jennifer Nilsson and you will be Over the Moon with all of the fabulous images and sentiments in this adorable set.

Oxide Inks were applied to an acrylic block, spritzed with water and applied to a piece of mixed media paper.  A little more sponging, some white paint splatters and stamped stars complete the galaxy sky.  The rocket and moon were colored with Copic Markers and a little Glossy Accents applied to the window.  The sentiment panel and some gems were added to finish the card.

Next up is a card made with the beautiful Happy Irises stamp set.  This set was the Stamp of the Month last month, but is now available for purchase.

Oxide Inks were sponged onto a piece of mixed media paper, spritzed with water splatters and stamped with the grid texture from Texture Tiles 1.  Another piece of white card stock was impressed with a canvas pattern and stitched to the sponged panel.  The irises were colored with Copic Markers, cut with the Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  The sentiment is from the new Stamp of the Month, Sentimental Wordfetti, and is available free with a $60 purchase.

The stamp sets used on my two cards are available from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Be sure to stop by often to see more fabulous samples using the new release.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Cathy

Iris Inspiration

Hello sweet friends!  I have a few card samples to share using some of the new products from the June Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps release.

***THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU***

My first card uses the Happy Irises set which is the Stamp of the Month.

Distress Oxide inks were applied to an acrylic block, spritzed with water, stamped off once, spritzed again and stamped onto a mixed media panel.  Texture was added with one of the stamps from Texture Tiles 1.  The panel was framed with a Penny Black die cut and mounted to pink card stock.  The framed piece was layered onto a panel embossed with a TH embossing folder.  The iris from the Happy Irises stamp set was colored with Copic Markers, cut with a Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card front with fun foam glued to the back for dimension.  The sentiment was white embossed on hand cut banners.  A few sequins were added to finish the card.

This card was made with the Mer-mazing and Llama Love stamp sets for a little girl from my church who just moved and will no longer be in our class.  We will miss her, but hopefully this cute little crab will remind her how much Jesus loves her and we do too!  A TE Sunburst Die was cut from different papers and pieced back into the frame to create the top of the card.  Oxide inks were used to create the bottom of the card.  Shells from Mer-mazing were stamped on Kraft card stock for the center strip.  The sections of the card were divided with jute twine and some of the images were colored with Copic Markers and popped onto the card.  The little crab was watercolored with Zig Clean Color Markers, the sentiment from Llama Love was stamped and google eyes were added to finish the card.

These products from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used to create the cards above:

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Don't forget...the blog hop winner of the $10 gift voucher to the SNSS Store will be announced here on the SNSS Blog on Tuesday June 25th!

June showers bring flowers?

Hello! It's Monika here today with some flower cards... it's been a pretty rainy season so far... and even thought it's not raining today, it's been raining flowers in my craft room left and right!

I am obsessed with flowers!

So, first up is a card with the brand new June Stamp of the Month: Happy Irises clear stamp set:

I heat embossed the iris image with white embossing powder then colored it in with Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors. To embellish the card I used washi tape and rhinestones.

Next is another flower card using an older stamp set, Itty Bitty Blooms clear stamp set:

First I stamped the images on water color card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then water colored them with Jane Davenport water color markers. Next I spritzed the images with water and after the paint dried, I fussy cut them. I stamped some images onto the background to 'anchor' the base flower cluster. After coloring the images, I spritzed the whole background with water and let the colors freely move around...

The greeting was stamped from the trusty Keep in Touch Too clear stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by!
