Merry Christmas!

Good morning!

Jessica here this morning stopping by to share several Christmas/Winter themed cards with you.  With all the things going on this week leading up to Christmas, I was unable to finish the card I had started and was planning on sharing with you today so I decided to look through my files to find some of my past favorites to show you today.

My first one uses the adorable Cozy Friends - I forgot how much I love those wintery animals in the circles!

My second card uses another one of my favorite Teddy Bears - sweet Rhubarb from Rhubarb's Christmas stamp set. I made this card a few years ago for my father-in-law whose birthday is on Christmas day.

My next card uses the lovely Vintage Ornaments with their coordinating dies.  This one shouts 'Nordic Christmas' to me and my Norwegian heritage!  Love the blue ornaments and woodgrain patterned paper together!

And, last but not least - this one with the GORGEOUS Poinsettia stamp set with coordinating die.  LOVE the traditional Christmas colors on this one and that paper pieced/colored flower was so fun to make.  I may be allergic to poinsettias in real life, the stamped version gives me only joy!

I hope you have a very blessed Christmas season with your family and are able to spend some quality time with your loved one's celebrating our Savior's birth!

Sending You Warm Thoughts

Hello friends...Cathy here sending you warm thoughts and cozy wishes!  The weather here and across the east coast is turning frigid so I thought I'd share a card that reflects the weather, but is adorable enough that it will warm your heart!

This is just one of the cute snowmen in Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps lineup of adorable snowmen.  It is from the Holly Jolly Christmas clear stamp set, but is also available as a digi.  This jolly fellow was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut, and popped up on some decorative label dies.  A piece of Echo Park DP was the perfect background along with some snowflake embossing for texture.  The sentiment is from the Cozy Friends stamp set.  Some ribbon, a snowflake punch, and some rhinestones finish the card.  The sketch used is from The Sweet Stop this week and the "spin" was to use a snowman somewhere on your card creation.  Hope I've inspired you to grab a sweet snowman image and send your own warm wishes!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed week and stay warm!

Hugs,
Cathy

Warm & Cozy Thoughts

Good morning!

I have a Christmas card to share with you today that I created using the Cozy Friends stamp set.  I love the quilted patterns Korin has added to the two focal images included in this stamp set.  I paper pieced the bear as well as his hat and scarf, adding just a big of highlights with a couple of copic markers for some depth.

I keeping with the Christmas theme, I decided to make my card look like a Christmas package all wrapped up, so a doily and some pretty ribbon finished it off.  I added some brads in each corner and embellished them with some diamond stickles for some added sparkle.

Have a great day!  I hope you are warm & cozy today!

Cozy Friends Shaker Card...

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving day yesterday.

I have a fun shaker card today. The circle images from Cozy Friends clear stamp set are perfect for making shaker elements.

First I stamped and colored my image with Copic Markers, then cut it out. Next I die-cut a scallop circle out of Window Sheet. I put a very thin strip of dimensional tape around the colored panel, put some Micro Beads inside, and attached the clear scallop circle on top. Then I stamped another image, colored the circle strip, and cut it out. Attached that to the clear circle, and also covered up the dimensional tape that was showing through the clear sheet.
The background was embossed with Snowflakes embossing folder. To dress up my card, I used a doily, rhinestones, and Baker's Twine. The greeting was stamped on a ticket die-cut and stapled onto the card.
Hope I inspired you to try to make one!
Thanks for visiting,
Monika

Wow! Thanksgiving is only 2 days away, are you thawing your turkey yet? Maybe you're already decorating for Christmas! Traditionally we decorate the Saturday after Thanksgiving and then attend the Holiday Stroll our town hosts in the evening. The polar bear from Cozy Friends has decided to decorate a little early this year!

Doesn't he look so cute and festive with that wreath around him? First I embossed the polar bear in white on crumb cake and colored him with prismacolor pencils. I used a black marker to emphasize some of his facial features, added glitter to his fur and cut him out. The wreath is snipped from a piece of dp from the Recollections Naughty or Nice stack. I cut a slot in the bottom and inserted Mr. Bear. Here's a close up...

I added some red gems, a red bow and jingle bells attached with twine to decorate his wreath. The main panel is from the My Mind's Eye Countdown to Christmas pad.

Recipe:
stamps: Cozy Friends
ink: versamark
paper: SU! crumb cake, riding hood red, MME Countdown to Christmas, Recollections Naughty or Nice
accessories: baker's twine, jingle bells, prismacolor pencils, glitter, ribbon, gems

How about getting a head start on your holiday shopping? Starting today Sweet 'n Sassy is offering 25% off ALL Clear Stamp Sets AND Dies! (excludes bundles)

Thanks for stopping by! I wish you all a Blessed Thanksgiving as you celebrate the things you're thankful for.

Penguin Cutie

Hi everyone! It's Holly here with my first card as guest designer this month.  Korin has offered us so many wonderful new stamps and dies, I feel like a kid in a candy shop!  Today I used the totally adorable penguin from Cozy Friends as the focal point on my card.

I started with Saturday's Sweet Stop Sketch for my layout switching out my penguin for the square in the sketch.   This guy is so cute and fun to color!  Borrowing the colors from my background paper from My Minds Eye, Countdown to Christmas, I used both SU! markers and Prismacolor pencils to give him his look.  After trimming him out I added a bit of glitter to his hat and scarf.  I love the fun sparkle it adds! The penguin is layered over a Spellbinder lacey circle in Island Indigo.  The sentiment is one of four from the Cozy Friends set.  I can't wait to try this penguin and his polar bear pal as gift tags for Christmas too!

Recipe:
stamps: Cozy Friends
ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU! markers
paper: Island Indigo, Neenah Solar White, MME Countdown to Christmas
accessories: spellbinders lacey circles, SU! oval punch and scalloped oval punch, glitter, Michael's snowflake ribbon, rhinestones

Have you checked out all the fun things Korin has planned this month to celebrate Sweet 'n Sassy's 4th birthday? You can get in on the blog hop going on right now - you have until Wednesady to hop! Thanks for stopping by today!
