Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps + My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop

Hi friends! It's a fabulous day today because Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is joining forces with My Sweet Petunia for an awesome collaboration blog hop and giveaway! There's a chance to win a $50 gift code to each shop, so we hope you'll join the fun and hop along with us! To be eligible for the drawing, just leave a little comment on each stop along the hop. (Official hop list at the bottom of this post.) Winners will be posted here on our blog and on the My Sweet Petunia Blog on August 27.

I'm a great lover of my MISTI and rarely make a card without either the Mini or the Original. It completely changed the way I stamp, taking out all the wishing and praying for a great image, leaving just the joy of stamping! 😀

One of the super fun things I like to do with the MISTI is to add dimension to solid stamps. For this card, I used the Delightful Daisies set and stamped the outline of the flowers on a panel of cardstock. I then flipped my Mini MISTI around and aligned the solid image stamps.  Once I had it all set up, I inked up in a lighter color and stamped, then inked with a slightly darker color just around the edges of the stamp, using a paper towel to soften the ink edges towards the center so you don't get a harsh line.

Since I was using water reactive inks, when I was finished with my ink layering, I went over the entire stamp lightly with a waterbrush (you don't want too much water), then stamped again to help the colors to blend even more. Since everything was still lined up on the mini MISTI, I could just flip the cardstock again and repeat the process with whatever colors I wanted, then grab a new panel of cardstock and make more! So handy for color layering!

It was so quick and satisfying, that I ended up creating a bunch of flowers.

I fussy cut them all out, then got to work stamping in some stems.  I used the stem from the single daisy in the set, straightening it out and masking off the end so I could stamp just the stems.  I then used a sticky note to mask off parts of the stems while I stamped in some leaves from the Doodle Florals set. I just love these swirly leaves, don't you?

The sentiment is from the Sentimental Wordfetti set. I love these small sentiments, and the Cut-Align makes it a breeze to trim a teeny tiny border around them! I love this little tool, and I keep it handy on my desk always! It's a clear acrylic ruler with lots of guidelines. The ruler has a slit in the center, allowing you to insert your craft knife and make an easy straight cut, and by lining up the guidelines, you can make sure you get an even border every time.

I finished off the card with a bit of ink blending of the sky and grass.  Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy the hop.

The next stop on the hop is Colleen Gaddie.

Pop-up Floral Card and Paper Clip Bookmark

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of flowery projects. YES... more flowers! I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE flower images!

Have you been enjoying the beautiful projects with the July stamp sets? Oh, they are so much fun... but today, I'm using favorite stamp sets from previous releases...

First up is a cool pop-up bridge card. Jennifer McGuire had an amazing video tutorial the other day and I just had to try to make this fairly easy dimensional beauty...

The big flower came from Delightful Daisies clear stamp set. The image was heat embossed with white embossing powder, colored in with Jane Davenport Mermaid water color markers, and fussy cut... The little flowers are from Itty Bitty Blossoms clear stamp set and they were colored in the same way as my big bloom...
I love clustering these pretty images on top of each other...

The greeting came from Peony Cluster clear stamp set... the banner image came from a retired stamp set, Give Praise... but even a paper strip (or vellum!) would work as the 'bridge'...

My next project is a sweet paper clip bookmark... sometimes the tiniest things can bring the most joy! I had more of the sweet flowers laying on my desk so I just clustered them onto the black die-cut label.

The heat embossed vellum butterfly was sitting on my desk too, so it had to go on it... it's from Made New clear stamp set

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by!

Delightful Daisies

Hello Sweet 'N Sassy Friends!  Sheri here today with a couple cards featuring the recently released Delightful Daisies stamp set.

I was inspired by a couple of cards I found over on Pinterest and just had to try out this color combo.  I just love how the white pops against the kraft card stock.

Flower love

Hello! It's Monika here today with couple of flowery cards. I LOVE flower images!

First up is a delightful card with scrap pieces from my desk... yes, I had a whole lot of stuff on my desk... including some heat embossed and water colored daisies. The flowers came from Delightful Daisies clear stamp set.

The background was made with Tim Holtz alcohol inks... one of the many I have made and piled up for future cards... the vellum overlay was die cut with a background die I got during a Hobby Lobby clearance event...
The sentiment is from Be Encouraged clear stamp set
I also had a sweet heat embossed vellum butterfly on my desk, so it had to go on it... it's from Made New clear stamp set

Next is another card filled with pretty flowers... I just love clustering these sweet petite images from Genuine Love clear stamp set. I arranged the flowers around the girl image from Girl Power 2 clear stamp set

The background was stamped with Typewriter Text Background clear stamp set

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by!

Trust in the Lord

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share card with you featuring  a couple of our sets, Delightful Daisies and Surrounded in Prayer.

To create this card, I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut down a 1/2 inch smaller.  I stamped the largest daisy and then used a mask so I could stamp the smaller ones like they are behind it.
The background was created using a stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brushes.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Our new May release includes the cutest little Paw-some Pals set and it's perfect for all the cat or dog lovers in the world. And pairing it with the Fill Me Up set, you've got a match made in heaven!

For my card for today, I did just that, masking the cup from Fill Me Up to add some daisies (from Delightful Daisies) for a spring cuppa, then popping up a sweet little kitten from Paw-some Pals in front.  I did a smooshed background with Dyestress Blendable inks on a pre-printed note card, then lightly stamped paw prints randomly on the background.  I finished off with a sweet sentiment circle and a stitched ribbon bow.

For your viewing pleasure today, here's a little peek at what our creative team has brewed up for today's hop. Visit their blogs for the full cards.
