Paw-some Pals

Happy Monday! Esther here today with a fun puppy themed card. To create the base of my card I used a side step card tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. Next I cut a bunch of grass using green card stock and the tall grass die coupled with the smaller grass die. I inked the top edge with dark green distress ink. All the dogs, the bare tree, and the sun were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with water brush pens.

2019 Cat Lovers Blog Hop

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! We're excited to once again be sponsoring a prize for the 2019 Cat Lovers Blog Hop. It's a hop to celebrate cats of all sizes and shapes during the last full week in October, since National Cat Day is October 29.

There is a large list of sponsors, and prizes for both commenting and participating by linking up a cat themed challenge on the Official Cat Lovers Blog Hop Post. We're one of the sponsors being highlighted today, so if you want to check that out, here's the link to our spotlight post.

We have a couple feline loving sets in the shop I thought I'd highlight today.

The first set is the Paw-some Pals set, which has some canine friends as well, but the kitty and mice images are so cute!

My card for today features the adorable kitty from this set.  I gave her a little toy mouse friend, because my cat, Moka, drags her little mouse toy everywhere she goes. They are constant companions.
Card by Julee Tilman features Paw-some Pals.

The second set is the sweet Kitty Love set, filled with lots of lovely cat silhouettes and some super fun sentiments like Proudly owned by a cat! Love it!

Card by Julie Gearinger featuring Kitty Love

We also have several digital cat images you might like to check out. Here's a darling card made by Korin featuring the Valentine Kitty Digi.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We hope you're "feline" good!

Hi!

Hello everyone! Today I want to share another card made with the Paw-some Pals set. The cats and dogs are just so cute!

I colored the cat and dog with alcohol markers and cut them out. I die cut a frame out of light blue paper and added tiny circles with a wood patter to give it a bit more interest. I used alphabet stickers for the word 'Hi' and added a couple of golden hearts to add a sparkle to the card.

I used the stamp set Paw-some Pals.

P-A-W-S-atively Adorable!

Hi Friends!

Today I have some more P-A-W-S-atively adorable projects using the new Paw-some Pals set. It seriously makes me so happy!

My first project uses a fun technique for the background. I challenged Splitcoast Stampers with it this week. Check it out if you are interested in trying it! I used the die cut sentiment as a place for the sweet puppies to sit on.

Recipe :
  • Paper – Canson Watercolor card stock
  • Image – Paw-some Pals
  • Ink – Distress ink and Distress Oxides And Copics
  • The Circles are cut from a SSS Stitched circle die and the HUGS die is from my stash (not sure about brand).
  • The background is embossed with a bones/paws embossing folder them embossed with Versamark and WOW Gold embossing powder.

My Second project is a shaker card - It is clean and simple but oh so fun!  My  shaker bits  for  this  one  are  candy  bones.  My niece goes to the University of Georgia (mascot Bulldogs; colors red and black) and this one is for her.

Recipe :
  • The background is embossed with a bones/paws embossing folder
  • Image and Sentiment - Paw-some Pals
  • Sentiment is in Onyx Black Ink (inked before Embossing)
  • Main image colored with Copics Warm Grays only for shading
  • The Circles are cut from a SSS Stitched circle die and the HUGS die is from my stash (not sure about brand).
  • Candy bones - Bazooka Brand
I hope you are inspired today. Think about the all the little elements from your various stamp sets and use them in a new way!! Just have fun doing it!!

Thanks for stopping by!

paw-some pals

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from this month’s release. Here I used Paw-some Pals. There's seven cats and dogs in this set to choose from! I picked three for my first card and stacked them up!

For my second card I thought it would be fun to paper piece them. I don't think I can pick a favorite. lol. I added the bow to one for a bow tie and added the bone to the sentiment.

Have a great day!
Diane

Totally Paw-some!

Hi Friends - Happy Friday!

Today I have a simple card using this months A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E new Paw-some Pals set! I love, love, love it! There are so many fun ways to use it but for today's project, I am letting the puppy speak for himself! There is a paw print in the set that is perfect for accenting projects. That is all I needed to create this card!

For fun, I used warm grays for the background and the puppy to create a monochrome black and white look.  I hope you are inspired to try coloring in grays!

Thanks for stopping by!

Paw-Some Pals

Hello, sweet friends!  Cathy here...and I happen to be a huge animal lover, so the new Paw-Some Pals stamp set just released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is right up my ally.  Not only are the dogs and cats included in this set absolutely adorable, but the quippy sentiments are purr-fect!

The Distress Ink background looks just like my kitchen floor after Kody comes in from the yard after a rainstorm...can you say "Muddy?"  Even though I wipe his feet, he still manages to leave paw prints on the floor!  The images were colored with Copic Markers and the splatters were made with one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set.

The wall was made with the brick from Texture Tiles 2 stamped over a Distress Ink panel.  More texture was added using the splatter stamp from Texture
Tiles 1.  These sweet felines are purr-fect for sending get well wishes.

Everyone needs a friend!  These cute dachshund puppies were popped onto a simply sponged background framed in paw prints.

I hope you were inspired by all the cats and dogs on these card samples.

Be sure to check out this fun stamp set at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store as well as all of the other new stamp sets from the May release!

Happy Stamping!
Hugs,
Cathy

Our new May release includes the cutest little Paw-some Pals set and it's perfect for all the cat or dog lovers in the world. And pairing it with the Fill Me Up set, you've got a match made in heaven!

For my card for today, I did just that, masking the cup from Fill Me Up to add some daisies (from Delightful Daisies) for a spring cuppa, then popping up a sweet little kitten from Paw-some Pals in front.  I did a smooshed background with Dyestress Blendable inks on a pre-printed note card, then lightly stamped paw prints randomly on the background.  I finished off with a sweet sentiment circle and a stitched ribbon bow.

For your viewing pleasure today, here's a little peek at what our creative team has brewed up for today's hop. Visit their blogs for the full cards.
