Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!

It's Ceal, here to share with you today. If you follow us on Facebook then you know we had a Stamp-a-thon this past weekend to celebrate Korin's birthday. With this being Holy Week I decided to make a couple Easter cards using one of my favorite techniques paired up with one of my favorite all time Easter sets. 

To create the top card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel for blending. Using the Picket Fence Studios Blender Brushes I blended Picked Raspberry, Carve Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks. Next I stamped the three cross image from the Jesus Paid it All set and also used the die cut image popped up over it to give it a shadow. The sentiment is from the Hello my Name Is set. I finished the card by adhering a black mat to the focal panel and then adhering it to the card base.

For the bottom card I started with a white top folding card base and a white panel. This time I used a stencil for the sun rays background and then just blended the grass below it. 

I used the three cross die cut and cut it out four times and stacked them together before attaching it to the panel. The sentiment is from the He is Risen set. 

He is Risen

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee here, popping in with another Easter card using the fabulous He is Risen set from the March release! I just love these meaningful images and sentiments. There's so much power in the message that you don't really have to add to much to make a wonderful card.

I started this card, by stamping the He, is, and Risen sentiments on a 2.5 x 3.5" panel of cardstock.  I then colored in the words with Copic markers and added a few white gel pen accents.  I decided I wanted a bit of a background instead of the stark white, so I masked off the He and the Risen words with post-it notes and then smooshed some squeezed lemonade distress oxide for the background.  

When this was dry I stamped the image of the three crosses at the bottom of the panel and colored in the hills.  This panel is matted with black cardstock and then I layered this onto yellow cardstock, embossed with a sun ray embossing folder.

For this post, I'm sharing an almost one layer card I created pairing some previous releases with the new He is Risen and  All in All sets. I started with bristol cardstock, then stamped the crown of thorns from He is Risen in distress ink and used a waterbrush to color it in, using just the stamped ink.

Next I stamped the three sentiment stamps from All in All to read Jesus paid it all. I pulled out some tumbled glass and broken china distress inks and blended all around for the background. Then I stamped tiny portions of the music background from Texture Tiles 1 in pecock feathers all around. I loved how things turned out, b ut felt I needed something in the corner. I decided on one of the hearts from the Filigree Hearts set. I was a little too chicken to commit to stamping it on this background I loved so much, so stamped it separately, then sponged with the same inks and cut out to pop up on the card.

I finished off with a few splatters of frayed burlap ink and some sponging around the edges.

Risen

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee here, popping in to share a card made with a couple of the new March release sets.

I just love the imagery in the He is Risen set illustrated by Rebecca Rios. Such a beautiful set that puts the meaning of Easter front and center.

If you haven't been to our Facebook page in a while, there's a lot of new events, activities, and VIP perks happening over there. Including a new monthly challenge! The March challenge is New Life and the idea is to create something with flowers or an Easter theme and upload it with #snssvip319 to the challenge album in our SNSS VIP Group for a chance to win a prize!

So with the challenge in mind, I started my card with the crown of thorns image, stamping once in frayed burlap distress oxide and then rotated the stamp and stamped again to form a completed crown. I used a frayed burlap distress marker to connect the lines where the two stamped impressions met, then used a waterbrush to spread the stamped ink around to "color" the image.

I then stamped the Risen sentiment in the center of the crown with Copic safe ink and colored with Copic markers. Serendipitously, I set my stamp set down on my desk over my stamped panel, and just happened to see that the hill with crosses image looked like it fit the word Risen perfectly. So I stamped risen again on post it note paper, then cut out the tops of all the letters to mask off my colored letters and stamped the cross above the word inside the crown. Love how well it works together, don't you think? I finished coloring the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the crown.

Next, I pulled out the Doodled Flowers March Stamp of the Month set. This beautiful set of floral images and leafy sprigs illustrated by Krista Harnick is just delightful and perfect for making quick backgrounds. The stamp of the month is available this month exclusively as a FREE gift with a $75 or more purchase. Yippee!

I placed all of the floral images onto my MISTI stamp platform and stamped them in both mustard seed and spiced marmalade distress oxides.  I then accented some of  the circle elements on the panel with orange Nuvo drops. Next I stamped a single flower and leaf image, then colored with Copic markers and trimmed by hand to place at the bottom of the crown of thorns. My final touch was a tiny rhinestone in the center of the flower.

I Am Loved and so are You!

Hello, sweet friends!  It's hard to believe that March is here, and I for one hope that Spring will not be far behind!  Cathy here to share some projects using one of my favorite new stamp sets and some happy Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps news!

I Am Loved is such a sweet stamp set perfect for cards, Bible journaling, and projects.

A panel covered with washi tape peeks through the heart die cutouts for a colorful background for the rejoicing girl silhouette from the I Am Loved stamp set.  A few paint splatters and an encouraging sentiment add to the happy feeling of this card.

I am so inspired by the other talented ladies on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps team.  Jane's cute covered notepad holder from THIS post inspired this little gift which was made for all of the ladies that shared my room at a recent ladies' conference sponsored by my church.  I did make a few alterations, but love the way my notepads turned out.
