Endless Love

Happy Monday! Esther here today sharing two cards using the BRAND NEW Endless Love stamp set designed by Julee Tilman! For my first card I created a fun Christmas shaker in bright and cheery colors.

I used watercolors to paint the striped background before adding some text and splatters. To create the mottled effect on the hearts, I laid them on my distress oxide pads and lightly pressed in places.

My  second card uses the same stamp set for a fresh and clean encouragement card. I colored my images with Arteza real brush pens and fussy cut them before adding them to my white on white background. I love how the polka dots on the sentiment add a little extra "pop of interest" to the card.

Thanks so much by Charmaine Canham

Good Morning!!! I get a lot of requests to make sets of cards. I honestly dislike making the same card twice so this has always been hard for me to do.
Let me show you how I made a quick pack of three Thank you Cards!

I am using three different stamp sets today: Everyday Greetings 2,
Encouraging Peonies and Texture Tiles 8.

Today, I am using the resist technique. First, clear emboss cardstock with Versamark and clear embossing powder after repeat stamping all over the paper. Heat and set aside.

I made 2 cards with the dots and 2 cards with the peonies.

I used Distress Ink instead of my go-to Distress Oxide
for a more vibrant color. Smear the ink pad over the A2 card base.

Here is the new Salvaged Patine Distress Ink over the Peonies.

I love these purple peonies!

To finish these cards, repeat stamp the Texture Tiles in either similar monochromatic colors or completely opposite for a more dramatic look.  Layer the sentiment strip with double-sided foam tape.

Which one is your favorite?? To finish the pack, stamp the texture tiles stamp
on the envelope for a "matchy-matchy" and complete look!

Thank you for looking and have a great rest of your week!

Hope in God by Charmaine Canham

Good Morning, Flowers!

I just received my (new to me) Jennifer Nilsson, Encouraging Peonies stamp set, and I had to ink it up. Sweet 'n Sassy also has a big Buy 2 get 1 Free deal on all of her stamps this week! Make sure to check it out! But let me tell you how I made this beauty!

I started applying the new Distress Oxide color, Salvaged Patina, to half of an  A2 cardstock base.

Make sure this is dry or dried with a heat tool before moving to the next step. Stamp the smallest dots from the Textures Tiles 8 stamp set with Gina K Designs Soft Stone ink pad over the whole card.

I just love these leaves on this stamp set. I heat embossed them with silver powder from Hero Arts and Versamark watermark ink.

The Future stamp set has beautiful and inspiring sentiments. I stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink, and clear heat embossed. I didn't want to take the chance of it smearing at this point.

I noticed that the leaves disappeared in the background in that beautiful patina color. I pulled out Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and painted the leaves with a small paintbrush. This gave it a soft watercolor look.

I always want to doodle on my cards. I pulled out my white Posca and Micron pen and started stippling and adding highlights to the leaves. This is probably not recommended, but I pulled out my gray Copic markers and added shadowing under the leaves over the distress oxide. I finished by adding a hand-drawn border and white dots in the darker shadows.

This card transformed so much by adding shadows and highlights organically. I hope you liked my card today, and leave me a comment or a question if you have any.

Remember to check out this week's deal below!
I hope you have a great day!

Celebrate

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a fun birthday card featuring the NEW Birthday Gnome digi along with Texture Tiles 8 and Make A Wish stamp sets.

***THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU***

I had a little fun with this one. I like to challenge myself to try new layouts and thought a window would be fun for the Birthday Gnome Digital image to peek out of.

1. Stamp multi-sized polka dots from the Texture Tiles 8 set down the left side of your card panel in orange ink to create a border.

2. Stamp sentiment from the Make A Wish stamp set at the bottom of the panel in blue ink.

3. Create Window in Blue Card Stock. I used a 2 5/8" Square die & 2 1/8" Square die to create this.

4. Print out Birthday Gnome Digital Stamp at 3 1/2", color with your favorite coloring medium (I used copic markers), and then fussy cut him.

5. I popped up my window frame with foam tape (except for the bottom so I could slip the Gnome under). I then added foam tape to the Gnome and slipped him under the frame. His balloons, Hat and sign with be sitting on top of the frame.

6. I attached the white panel to a blue top fold card base. I also added a white piece of card stock to the inside to make it easier to see your message to the recipient.

Card Measurements:
Blue A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")
White Panel: 3 15/16" x 5 3/16"
Blue Window: 2 5/8" Square (Outside), 2 1/8" Square (Inside)
White Panel (Inside): 4" x 5 1/4"

Who loves polka dots? We've got a FABULOUS new texture tiles set this month. Swiss dots, polka dots, random dots, big dots, small dots... you'll be seeing spots with this awesome Texture Tiles 8 repeatable background set!

Korin puts the swiss dots from Texture Tiles 8 in the spotlight, paired with the new Make a Wish set. She shared this card on her NEW blog. Be sure to check out her AMAZING birthday giveaway. Seriously, you don't want to miss out on this! Go ahead hop on over, just be sure to come back and hop along with us! 😄

Make a Wish is the next set in our spotlight. The bold fonts  in this extremely versatile birthday set are perfect for both masculine and feminine cards. And the traditional birthday accoutrements like cake, cupcakes, party hats, and candles are so much fun!

I went for a clean mini slimline with lots of white space, wanting to make the fun images and sentiments in Make a Wish take center stage. Love the fun stamp that can be either sprinkles or confetti! I added a little dimension to the hat by curving the paper with my finger, then adding foam tape to the center and then gluing the sides down securely so it stayed rounded.

For our 13th birthday, we thought we'd bring a little bit more sassy to Sweet 'n Sassy with the A Little Snarky set. After all, SNSS is a teenager now! These humorous sentiments are sure to bring a smile.

Janelle brought this set to life with a set of little encouragement cards sure to bring a smile. So clever to use the A Little Snarky hangry sentiment with our Donut Worry set. She also used Grunge Elements 2 on one of the cards.

Our next spotlight set coordinates perfectly with the A Little Snarky set. Humorous Birthday Innies are funny little sentiments perfect for the inside or outside of your cards!

I created a fun slimline birthday card pairing the Humorous Birthday Innies with the new Birthday Gnome DIGI. These sentiments totally make me smile.

Our Creative Worship set this month is sure to light up your studio! Shine Your Light has fabulous encouraging sentiments and lovely lights of all kinds like lanterns, candles, fireflies, and light bulbs. Such a fun set!

Deeds created these gorgeous bookmarks with Shine Your Light. Wouldn't they make the perfect DIY gift for a reader in your life?

That's our November Release in a nutshell! So many fabulous sets to choose from! What's your favorite? Let us know in the comments.

Your next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry.

May you be blessed today and always!
