April Stamp of the Month: Happy Day

Hello! It's Monika here today showcasing the April Stamp of the Month set: Happy Day clear stamp set.
I love flowers and this set has super cute images that are perfect for card making, scrap booking and Bible journaling.

My first card is an encouragement card with water colored, fussy cut images... I love the extra dimension with the popped up images.

The background was sponged with green distress ink (Tim Holtz) then spritzed with water... the subtle green is the perfect backdrop to the vibrant images. I used Jane Davenport water color markers for the coloring. The greeting is from Be Encouraged clear stamp set, my go to encouragement sentiment set!

My second card is a square birthday card... I hand drew the wreath and dressed it up with stamped and punched images. You must have seen the sweet wreath cards from last month from the DT, using Genuine Love clear stamp set... I used the same idea, with some of the images from Happy Day stamp set. Again, I used Jane Davenport water color markers for the coloring.

The first part of the greeting is from Happy Day clear stamp set... the BIRTHDAY image is from So Happy clear stamp set.

I love adding little details to my cards... flower clusters and rhinestones (and some Nuvo crystal drops)!

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Genuine Love

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a fun shaped card featuring the NEWLY released Genuine Love stamp set.

Did you know that creating shaped cards is super easy?  It's a fun way to use those larger shaped dies that we have in our stash!  The scallop circle I used is an older Sizzix die and it measures 4".  You just need to die cut 2 of the shapes you want to use. You will also need a scoring tool like a scor-buddy and some two sided tape like scor-tape.  I like to use 1/8" scor-tape or red line tape.  I take one of the die cut pieces and line it up on my scor-buddy and score it about 1/4" down to create a hinge.  You then add a piece of the scor-tape before attaching the other die cut on top to create your card base.

Not sure if you saw the card I made last week for the March Release Blog Hop but I was inspired to try to see if I could change from a square focal point to a circle and that is how I ended up using the scallop circle card base.  As you can see I was able to do it!

The wreath was created by stamping in a plus sign shape and then repeating that process with each image that I added.  It's not perfect but that adds to the hand made feel.

Here's another look at my original card from last week.

Feel Better Soon

Hello Friends, I have a "springy" card for you today using Genuine Love and Thoughtful Words.  I wanted to make a little wreath so I just took my circle die and traced the inside with a light pencil line and stamped the flowers and greenery on top .  I just love these colors, ink is from Memento and papers are from DCWV.
If you place a $75 order you will receive Doodle Florals FREE!  It is such a fun and versatile set!  As always you get FREE SHIPPING with a $75 order.

scripture crosses

Good morning! Today I have 2 cards to share with a very popular set from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy release, Scripture Crosses. This set sold out quickly but you can pre-order now...more are coming! I used the same sentiment image on both cards with various flourishes. I also used flowers from the sweet new Genuine Love stamp set.

Here I stamped the cross onto patterned paper. Then I masked it and stamped some flowers "behind" it.

I went with different colors for my second card but stamped the cross on patterned paper once again. This time I added flowers to the corners of the main image and popped one up.

There's plenty of time to get your Easter cards done and these sets are perfect to use!
Have a great day!
Diane

Genuine Love galore

Hello! It's Monika here today showcasing Genuine Love clear stamp set. I love flowers, I love grungy... so this sweet stamp set is just perfect for me!

My first card is a sweet feel better card, using most of the flowers from the set to make the border. It's really easy to make, as the images work well stamped over each other and clustered... I used Tim Holtz distress and distress oxide inks.

The greeting is from Thoughtful Words clear stamp set. It's stamped with VersaMark Ink then it was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

If you know me, you know I LOVE shaker cards! Here is a tulle shaker card!
Instead of acetate, I used a piece of tulle to hold the sequins inside of the circle. So, so pretty! It's more affordable then some of the fancy window sheets and it's pretty flat. The tulle allows the sequins to move around without having to use dimensional tape.

The background was stamped with all the tiny images from the set... it's nice that you can use these images in different ways.
The greeting is from Keep in Touch Too clear stamp set.

...and lastly, my card from the March Release After Party Blog Hop (if you missed it, it's not too late to check it out!).

... I love adding little details to my cards... flower clusters and rhinestones!

On this card, I used Texture Tiles 3 and Made New stamp sets along with Genuine Love.

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Both cards are sweet and simple--easy to replicate with just a few supplies.  I used distress inks, some sponging, stitching and a few sequins!  The card above also uses All About You--another versatile set that can be just the right thing for many occasions.

The good news for the day is always the Good News!!  You are loved.

genuine love

Good morning! Today I have 2 cards to share with a super cute set from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy release. Here I used Genuine Love... a must have!

On my first card I also used His Love and a butterfly from Made New (last month's free set) which can now be purchased! To start, I cut a circle out of a post-it note and threw the circle away. I used the negative part to place around my stamped words as a guide. Then I stamped the wreath inside of my masked circle. I cut the blue flower from the heart image in His Love.

I made another "wreath" around the words on my other card too. This time I started with the arrow image, bending it on the clear block to make it curved.

Have a great day!
Diane
