Summer Time

Nothing quite says summer like a day at the beach. I haven't been yet this season and I really want to go after creating this card. I am wishing I was sitting in the chair soaking up the sun, sights and sounds. How about you?

I stamped the image from By the Sea with versafine clair nocturne ink on mixed media paper and cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I colored the image with prima watercolor sets Woodlands(sand ridge, cavern, pond), Terrain(vine leaf) and Tropical(hibiscus, ocean).

Once dry, I stamped the sentiment directly on the front with black. I matted the panel with white and attached to a kraft card base. I added the sun from Melt for You after when I felt it needed a little something extra. It was nice and relaxing to sit and watercolor this image.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thanks so much for stopping by!

Paradise fun times!

Hello crafty friends & happy Friday! I'm so excited you stopped by today to see today's card project. I used supplies from this month's SNSS new release.

I'm going to the beach in a few days so creating a beach themed card with the new Summer Vibes stamps & die set was necessary.

To create my background, I used some of my favorite inks and copy paper. Yes, copy paper to create that water, sky, and sand background!

Once I was done with my background, I used the Rise & Shine stencil with some gold glitter glitz.

Once I finished the background, I heat embossed a sentiment from the By the Sea stamp set. To finish the card, I added the coconut drink image, colored by hand with Copic markers, and the aloha sentiment - both from the Summer Vibes stamp & die set.

I hope you have enjoyed today's crafty post & that it has given you some inspiration to do something creative! To find more inspiration, you can follow me on Instagram: @Harshgurl.

Have a wonderful crafty weekend my friends, until next time!

Silhouettes and Sentiments

Hi all! Happy Friday! It's time for another fabulous birthday sale, and this week we've got a super deal for you! Buy 3 sets from our Silhouettes & Sentiments Sale category and receive an additional set of equal or lesser value from the same category for FREE! When you add the 4th set, the discount will automatically apply in your cart. Sale ends November 26.

My first card today is a quick and easy card. To make it,  I masked off a rectangle of cardstock, then blended a rainbow of color on with a stencil.  Then I embossed the sentiment from the Hymn Word Art set in Black in the center. My stamped panel is then popped up on a foam sheet and adhered to a card base. Easy peasy!

For my next card, I stamped the trees from the Thrill of Hope set in forest moss, then embossed in clear. I then ink blended a sky with blue distress oxides. I laid the stamps down over my embossed images as a mask and flicked on white glimmer ink for a little falling snow, then finished off with a thinking of you sentiment from By the Sea.

In other news, there's an absolutely adorable new digi set illustrated by Jennifer Nilsson in the shop today! Be sure to check it out! Don't these little bears just melt your heart?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Dragonflies

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in to share a couple cards I created with the Dragonfly Dreams set.

For my first card, I started with a randomly stamped background of dragonflies, stamped with pigment inks.  I stamped the solid wings in a mint color and the detailed wings in a teal color, then added the detailed bodies in brown.  When I was done with this, I stamped one more dragonfly on white cardstock and quickly trimmed around to accent my sentiment panel.

The scripture is from the By the Sea stamp set, and I embossed it onto a white circle die cut, then matted with brown cardstock.  I adhered this to the center of my panel, then used the two green inks to make some splattres on the page.  I finished off with the dragonfly accent and a few holeless sequins for a bit of shine.

My next card uses the same dragonfly stamps, but I inked up the solid wings on my Misti with green and turquoise ink then stamped and spritzed to get the colors to blend. Once I had a nice blend, I stamped in brown with the detailed wings, and then stamped the body. I realized I had postitoned the wings too low, so repeated the process above with the wings and fussy cut them out to pop up a little further up the body to give the appearance of fluttering wings. These are painted with a glitter pen brush and absolutely shimmer.

I then stamped the sentiments from Sentimental Mash-up in the corner, one in two shades of green and the other in black.  I finished with lots of splatter in the colors of ink I had used.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a fabulous day!

by the sea

Good morning! Today I have 3 cards to share using the Sweet ‘n Sassy By The Sea stamp set from the new release. I also used the July Stamp of the Month, Sentimental Wordfetti. My first card is pretty simple. I lightly "swiped" an ink cube across the panel for some texture, then stamped the image over top. The umbrella was paper pieced.

I stamped/masked the shells and starfish to coordinate with my sentiment on the second card!

And I masked the shells again on my last card to create a Christmas card. I tore a piece of paper and repeatedly sponged the edge for the background.

Have a great day!
Diane

By the Sea & Sentimental Wordfetti

Hello! It's Monika here today with cards using some of the new release images (along with some other favorites)...

Have you been enjoying the fun projects with the July stamp sets? I love the summer theme and the sweet images! The July Stamp of the Month set will be one of my go to sets for sure with the awesome sentiments!

My first card was made with By the Sea clear stamp set:

The background was made with Tranquil Tim Holtz Alcohol ink. It looks really nice in real like... the images were heat embossed with white embossing powder on water color card stock, then colored with Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors.

The little flower and leaf images are from Itty Bitty Blossoms clear stamp set.
The butterfly image is from Made New clear stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to craft today!

Thank you for stopping by!

Monika

By The Sea

Hello Sweet n' Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal here, super late to share a couple cards with you using one of our new release sets.
I attended Junkiefest in Minnesota this past weekend and was supposed to get back home yesterday only to get home this morning at 8am with no sleep, thus the reason for this super late post.

Now for the deets. For both cards I used the By the Sea new release set, the images in this set may look familiar to you because they have been in previous sets. Korin decided to rework them into a new set and I couldn't be more ecstatic. This beach chair scene is one of my all time favorites of Sweet n' Sassy Stamps.
To create this card I stamped the image and masked them off and then created the background by using the Life Changing blending brushes by Picket Fence Studios.

The second sample I used the By The Sea set and paired it with the Marquee Alpha to create this fun rainbow summer card.
