Merry Christmas

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a holiday card.
One of my favorite holiday images (other than nativity scenes) is the holy from Christmas Silhouettes clear stamp set. I just love the delicate look. So I decided to use that on my card:

I love the delicate look of heat embossed image on Vellum. It gives an airy look to it...
I totally forgot that I had the coordinating die (Christmas Silhouettes Dies) so I fussy cut the image... imagine how easy it would have been if I simply die-cut it. Silly me!

The greeting was stamped with the new Rebecca Script Alpha clear stamp set. It is part of the Creative Worship line. I also used one word from the Christmas Morn clear stamp set. The two different fonts worked really nicely together.

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Holly, Jolly Christmas

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a cute holiday card. I love this sweet little guy from Holly Jolly Christmas clear stamp set... he is sure to bring a smile to anybody's face.

I colored the image with Copic Markers, then fussy cut it. There is a coordinating die set: Holly Jolly Christmas die set, if you don't like to cut.

I sponged a circle on the background panel, stamped the tree from Christmas Morn clear stamp set, then added the dimensional stars using a stencil and Fabel-Castell Whipped Spackle.

I finished off the card with some silver thread and silver candy dots.

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Premade Christmas Morn

Hello Friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends!

This is Jacquie and I am here to share a little AFTER Christmas cheer with you.  I know that Christmas is over, but, I would love to share the Christmas card that I made for my mother.  I used our SNSS Christmas Morn and SNSS Jesus is Born clear stamp sets.

I started with a plaid, premade card base.  Then I cut out a rectangular, green panel and a small, square red panel.  Once the panels were ready, I stamped my tree image onto the green with Versafine black ink.  I stamped the sentiment onto the red with the same ink and embossed it with some Ranger, fine detail, clear embossing powder.  I added some Recollections tinsel glitter to the tree image and popped both panels up with some 3m foam tape.  To finish off my project, I added a few sequins!

Hope you like this card, as much as my mother did!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

2014 Year in Review - Day 16: Christmas Morn

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder.  And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
(Isaiah 9:6) KJV

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
(Luke 2:11) KJV

Merry Christmas everyone!  Welcome to the final day of
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps 2014 Year in Review!

Is it any wonder that our last feature for this year is:
Jessica has really been busy creating fabulous Christmas cards with this wonderful vintage stamp set.  Here are some of her creations:

The sentiment from the Christmas Morn set was stamped on a scallop border.  Love the look of the Small Snowflake die cuts over the embossed Delightful Doilies and the sparkly trim!

Jessica used the sentiments from Christmas Morn to frame the tree image.  The vellum Small Snowflake die cuts add a bit of whimsy to this pretty Christmas card.  Other
Sweet 'n Sassy products used on this card include the Scallop Border Dies, Ticket Sentiments and the Ticket Dies, and Born This Day.

The Christmas plaid paper gives this card a wonderful festive look.  The silver embossed rocking horse from the Christmas Morn vellum layer softeners the tree image while Jessica's trademark doily adds charm.

These cards featuring the Christmas Morn stamp set were created by the Design Divas during this past year:

Remember the excitement you had as a child on Christmas morn?  Monika caught some of that excitement on her beautiful card with the children silhouettes from the Christmas Morn set opening gifts under the tree.

Janette's card is so elegant with the layers of DP and elements from the Christmas Morn stamp set edged in silver!

Gloria's pretty poinsettia and plaid ribbon look gorgeous on this kraft tag with a white embossed tree from the Christmas Morn stamp set.  The white splatters look like falling snow!

The vintage design of the Christmas Morn stamp set coordinates beautifully with other vintage stamp sets at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.  Vintage Post Card and a Doily Border die cut give this card a wistful feel.  The Christmas Innies sentiment on this card expresses our Christmas wish for you!

That's a wrap for 2014!
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is now ready to usher in the New Year!  Join us tomorrow as we reveal our first Sweet Perks Club Bundles for 2015!

Thank you so much for stopping by...

Hillside Edges Ornament...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you an ornament.

I saw this video from Betsy Veldman and I fell in love with the pretty ornament she had created. Since I wasn't able to purchase the kit she used, I was super excited to see the Hillside Edges Die set. It is the perfect set to make something similar.

I purchased my plastic ornaments (appr. 2-3/4" diameter) from Michael's. They come 2 halves per pack. Please check the size, since they have different ones available.

I started by die-cutting:
-two 2-3/4" circles out of white,
-one 2-3/4" circle out of blue
-one coordinating scallop circle out of red card stock (which is a tad bit larger than the circle).
I used Spellbinders dies, which were the perfect sizes for the plastic ornament.

Next, I die-cut the scene. I made sure the the hills with the tree and the houses come out about the same sizes so the hills are covering each other... it makes the layering much easier.

Next I worked on the blue background circle. I splashed shimmer mist on top and stamped my greeting (from Christmas Morn clear stamp set) with Onyx Black VersaFine.

Before I started to build the scene, I had to trim the sides of the circles (all 3 layers) just a tiny bit, so the plastic cover would fit perfectly on the blue circle:

The first layer was adhered with double sided tape, The next 2 layers,  the hill with the sweet little houses and the small hill were adhered with dimensional tape. I covered the back side well with the dimensional tape, so the glitter snow wouldn't end up behind the popped up layers.

Next I adhered some star sequins to the background, added some glitter snow, and adhered the plastic ornament to the circle (use either white craft glue or hot glue gun), then to the red scallop circle (use regular double sided tape). Please note, the original ornament was made with a Kraft scallop circle...

The ornament was decorated with a piece of pearl string that I attached using a hot glue gun, bells, punched out greenery, baker's twine and ribbon (to hang the ornament)...

I hope you will give this a try. It might look difficult, but it was very easy to put together. I followed the tips from the video (including adding pennies to the back to balance out the weight).

Thanks for stopping by,

Monika

the greatest gift

Hello!  Today I'm sharing another Christmas in July card.  This card uses three new Christmas sets called Christmas Morn, Jesus is Born, and Christmas Innies.  They are wonderful sets for jump-starting your holiday card making.

A circle punch was used to create an opening in the card front in which the popped up sentiment shows through.  An additional sentiment was also stamped on the inside.

I hope this inspires you to get some Christmas cards ready.  Have a great Monday!

♥ Diane

Christmas Morn

Good Morning Friends!  I hope you are having a GREAT start to your week!  Jacquie here to share with you!  Today I am sharing a Christmas in July creation.  We have some AWESOME new clear stamp sets that were just released, that are just PERFECT for your clean and simple, Christmas creations!

I used  a pre- folded black card and layered a piece of white cardstock on top.  Then I stamped my little horse on a separate piece of white and cut it out with my Spellbinder circles.  I sponged a circle of Real Red ink, then popped up my horse on top of it.  I wanted to add a little something to it, so I added some green sequins and  a sentiment to complete my creation!  This card is definitely something I will be able to mass produce, for the upcoming holiday season!  I just LOVE that rocking horse, don't you?   Thanks for stopping by to visit with me today and have a WONDERFUL week!
