Light It Up

Hi friends! It's Julee here, popping in with a little mid-week inspiration. May is always such a busy month with all sorts of end of year projects, activities, and celebrations. This year seems more hectic than most, but maybe that's because last year was 2020 and there was nothing going on. Haha! Anyhow, this is the time of year by necessity my crafting usually turns to a clean & simple style. So my card today has lots of white and lots of bright!

Rebecca's Count Your Rainbows set seemed like the perfect start for not only a clean & simple design, but also for the rainbow color challenge  in our VIP Facebook group this month. If you haven't played along, there's a prize up for grabs if you enter by May 31. All the details are in the group.

I started by stamping the larger rainbow image and the sun in black ink, then lining up the stitched rainbow lines and stamping over the rainbow.  I then colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating Count Your Rainbows Die Set.  The cloud was stamped in two shades of purple ink, then die cut.

For the sentiment, I thought the you light up my life phrase from My Punny Valentine (on sale this week) went well with the images, so stamped and cut in a circle.  I finished off with a background panel embossed with a rays folder for some texture, then layered up my die cut images on different levels of foam tape for dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous day! If you haven't heard this week's sale is 25% off Korin Sutherland's sets. No code needed, while supplies last through May 27.

My Punny Valentine

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers.
It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing some valentines that I created using the My Punny Valentine set.
I created these by cutting strips of cardstock 2 1/4 x 4 1/2 and using the Misti to stamp the images. I used alcohol markers to color them in. After I got them all colored in I used some glossy accents on the hearts  and added some shimmer to them as well using Pixie Dust.

These are a part of my valentines series, 10 Days of Valentines Inspiration, click the link to go to day one

My Punny Valentine - Treat Holder

Hello Sweet Friends!  Sheri here today with a quick & easy Valentine treat holder! I created a holder that will hold an individually wrapped Ghirardelli chocolate bar. I decorated the fronts with the NEWLY released My Punny Valentine set. The images are stamped with alcohol friendly ink and colored with copic markers. I then added some decorative paper, heart border & a few decorative hearts.

Here's a side view of one of them so you can see the chocolate bar tucked in. I actually placed two glue dots on the back of the chocolate bar and attached it to the back panel to make sure it would stay in place.

Treat Holder:

  • 2 Tags measuring 2 5/8" x 3 3/4".
  • Score each tag 3/8" up from the bottom and score.
  • On one of the tags place 1/4" Scor-tape going across the bottom of the tag under the score line.
  • You will connect the two tags with the the second tag sliding into place on top of the score tape. For a good seal make sure to burnish tape.
  • Decorate as desired. (Pattern Paper: 2 5/8" x 1 3/4", Heart Border 1/2" x 2 5/8", Circle 2". I also added Ribbon and clay hearts).

Hope I inspired to create a fun Valentine Treat!

Happy Stamping!!

Getting Digi and a Sale

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee here, popping in to share some inspiration with our new December digis.

The Miss You Gnome Digi is new in the shop today. I just love this sweet little gnome with his snail friend holding that little sign! So cute! I printed the image, then colored with Copic markers and cut with a rounded rectangle die.  A little patterned paper makes up the layout, and I embossed the sweet and friend words from Birthday Wordfetti in white on the little tag.  I finished with a seam binding bow.

My next card is a mini slimline (4"x6.5") and features the adorable Friendship Bear Digi that released last Friday. Isn't this little guy precious? I thought he was perfect for sending a little paper sunshine to a friend. I printed him out, colored with Copics, then die cut in an oval shape, adding a dark grey mat.  The background is done with a stencil and squeezed lemonade distress oxide.  I acccented with some die cut hearts and finished with a sentiment from the new My Punny Valentine set. Super fun and cheerful!

There's some super exciting new stamps coming in 2021, and we're making room with a Year End Sale!  The sale starts today and runs through December 31, and it's a fabulous one... 25% off site wide, no code needed!  Woohoo! It's the perfect time to pick up a little something from your wishlist!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Who loves hearts? We've got a FABULOUS new texture tiles set this month. Xs and Os, hearts, music notes, and a tiny text background... your heart will be aflutter for this awesome Texture Tiles 7 background set!

Deeds created another fabulous valentine using the xo tile from Texture Tiles 7, Much Love, and My Punny Valentine.

My Punny Valentine is the next set in our spotlight. These whimsical images and punny sayings make the best little valentines, lunch notes, or pick me ups.

Guest Designer Lieschen Harshbarger created this fabulous little card with My Punny Valentine. Love how she used the sucker for the background as well as for the focal point.

Our next set is the beautiful  Vintage Romance set. With a Parisian feel and elegant script, romance is definitely in the air!

Lieschen has us all craving macarons with this beauty she created with the Vintage Romance set.

Our next spotlight set coordinates beautifully with the other sets in this release. Rose Background is a lovely background of roses.  For even more from this set, stamp and cut the roses separately as accents.

Love the drama in this card by Lieschen. She embossed the Rose Background on black cardstock, then added a sentiment from Vintage Romance to create this beauty.

Our Creative Worship set this month is a lovely prayer themed set. Prayer Time has a whopping 36 stamps in it, perfect for journaling and other projects.

Colleen created a lovely prayer journal with Prayer Time. She also used our Typewriter Text Background and Texture Tiles 1.

That's our December Release in a nutshell! So many fabulous sets to choose from! What's your favorite? Let us know in the comments.

Your next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry.

May you be blessed today and always!

Vintage Love

 Hello Friends!

While Christmas is still about 2 weeks away, the December Sweet n Sassy Stamps release has me making Valentines.  The My Punny Valentine Stamp Set is so  cute, with lots of simple and fun images with punny sentiments.  The sewing machine image is perfect for girlfriends so I got busy creating.

These are a nonstandard size card- about 4.25 x 3.75 inches.  I wanted a vintage look for the cards, using the same color scheme and basic card layout.  I opted for stenciling a design on the left instead of patterned paper.  the sewing machines were colored with Copics, fussy cut out and popped up on dimensional tape.  I have gotten into thrifting and vintage items lately, so this image was right up my alley.

OK, so this  is not really a Valentine card, but the set, Vintage Romance,  makes some beautiful Valentines.  But these perfume bottles are great for other occasions as well.  I made this card for my mom.

Pastels are not really my thing, but I challenged myself- which means this whole card was a struggle.  The perfume bottles were colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Time Well Spent Stamp Set, onto a light aqua background and used a scrap of paper that I had used to pick up left over distress inks on my craft mat after doing the smooshing technique to add more interest along the bottom.  In the end, I love how this turned out.

If you haven't checked out the December release yet, head over to the store to check them out!  The Much Love Stamp Set is free with a purchase of $75 or more.

Thanks for stopping by- I won't be back on the Sweet n Sassy Stamps blog now until the new year, so have a Very Merry Christmas!

my punny valentines

Good morning! Today I have two cards to share using a brand new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called My Punny Valentine. I always love a stamp set with punny sentiments! I used the cute tic tac toe image on my first card.

For my second card, I used the sweet little sewing machine and dug out some sewing themed papers to go with it. This one can be used any time of the year, not just for valentines!

Have a great Thursday…enjoy your day!
