Double Dose of Caffeine

Hey sweet friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in to share a double dose of caffeine featuring two different looks with my Special Blooms set.

For this first card, I colored the cup and the bloom image with Copic markers, then accented with white gel pen.  I cut with the coordinating dies. If you're inspired to shop, you'll save a bit if you buy the stamp set and dies together in this bundle.

I was feeling like getting my fingers inky, so pulled out some kraft cardstock and stenciled it with the Grunge Dots and Paint Splatters Stencils in varying shades of brown ink. Next I embossed the sentiment directly on the panel and inked around the edges.

The butterfly was already colored and fussy cut from a previous art session. It's from the Spread Your Wings stamp set and I had coated it with embossing ink and sparkle embossing powder for extra shine.  I then decided placement and stamped the same butterfly in black directly on my stenciled panel and popped up the butterfly to finish things off.

My second card is a simple one, making use of patterned paper from my stash for an easy layout. The sentiment is stamped onto a die cut circle, then I added the cup and bloom image and a bit of skinny ribbon from days gone by. There you have it, one stamp set... two different looks.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your day is filled with lots of happy.

BUNNIES, BUNNIES, BUNNIES!

Today I have a super sweet post filled with the cutest cuddliest... bunnies! Who doesn't love bunnies amiright? Sweet N Sassy has some truly adorable bunnies in both clear stamps and digital stamps....

FIRST we have this so cute little guy from this month's Hoppy Spring set. I inked him up on a Neenah Desert Storm card stock base, masked him, them covered the background with the new Textures 11 flowers using Versa Mark for a tone-on-tone look. I unmasked and those flowers moved to the background so I could color my bunny with colored pencils and have a one layer card.

Next I have another clean and simple card, but this time, I didn't fill in the white space. (I did, however, die-cut and mount my panel for a little dimension :)) This card uses a new digi called Bunny Love. It comes with a sweet sentiment that I have used on many a project lately! I created my "card front" in a word doc with the bunny and sentiment placed just where I wanted them. I printed, colored him with Copic markers, and die-cut the layers - that is all there is to it!

My last project is a mixed media ATC (Artist Trading Card) that I created for a team swap. I used Distress Oxides on heavy watercolor paper to start my card. I added texture with Typewriter Text BG, Texture Tiles 5, and the new Grunge Dots Stencil. I created a word doc with a bunch of my images and sentiments from Valentine Bunny with Heart and Bunny Love respectively and had a fun day of coloring and fussy cutting. I added a little washi from my stash to "ground" my bunny and balance my ATC then glued my image and sentiment down... I signed the back and mailed off to my friends - SO MUCH FUN!

I hope you were inspired today - HOP to it and go great something this weekend!

Joy Comes in the Morning

Hi friends! It's Julee popping in with a bit of paper sunshine for your Wednesday! When I was playing around with the new stencils in the shop the other day for a different card, I had this panel left over that was a "clean-up" page for my Grunge Dots Stencil with pinks and yellows. I loved the look of it, so decided to  cut it down for a card and start playing some more.  First I grabbed the Rise & Shine Stencil and used some neon yellow glitter paste to add the sun.  The glimmer was super hard to capture in the photograph, but has such great dimension and shine in real life.  I then embossed the clouds from Texture Tiles 10 onto the top of the panel in white and filled in with some nuvo drops.

I embossed the sentiment from Be Encouraged onto a white strip of cardstock, then lined up where I wanted it to figure out where to add the stencil so it looks like it's continuing the sunshine pattern.  The flower is from the Alleluia Lilies set, which I colored with a mix of dye inks, a waterbrush, then added a few accents with Copics and a white gel pen.  I added a bit of brown ink for a little grunginess to the panel.

The card background was my first attempt at using a stencil to emboss a background in my die cut machine.  I used the Grunge Dots stencil and ran through with an embossing mat to get a nice texture to the paper, then I blended with brown and pink inks to continue that grunge look.  Such a fun mix of products in this release!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a joyful day!
