The Shepherd's Voice

{jane bosi}  Hello, Sweet Friends!! Today, I am sharing a few projects I created using the new release The Shepherd's Voice.  This versatile set is perfect for bible journaling, mixed media, card making and more!

I adore the beautiful shepherd and sheep images of this set! Such a beautiful visual to remind us of the way our Heavenly Father cares for us.  I am so thankful for a God who pursues His lost sheep, who has given me opportunity after opportunity to come back to Him.  I am thankful for a God who came for me and took my debit.  I am thankful for a God who now tells me to follow Him, and is patient in my stumblings.  I am thankful for a relentless grace only Christ gives, because I am a relentless vagabond always seeking to jump ship. He is faithful when I am not; He is constant when I am not; He is everything when I am nothing; yet, He says I am His and that is EVERYTHING! (adapted from TB Laberge/She Rises)

My bible journaling features The Shepherd's Voice along with Sunshine Girl and Bitty Minnie alphabets.

My card, also features The Shepherd's Voice and the Stamp of the Month, Sentimental Wordfetti.  Jut a little dry embossing, a colored image and a sentiment--quick, simple and perfect for just about any occasion!

Thanks for stopping today; be blessed!
TTFN, Jane

Peony Cluster

{jane bosi} Hello, Friends!! Today, I am sharing several projects featuring Peony Cluster--the Stamp of the Month.  I'm also sharing my heart and a prayer journal I'm working in.  I'm glad that you've stopped by today!!

How grateful I am that the Lord is near to me when I am brokenhearted!  My heart breaks over a lot of things.  Sometimes, it's things in my own life and other times, it is broken over the children I serve in my day job or other stories in the world around me.

His Word, in Psalm 34, reminds us that He is near to us all the time, especially in our brokenness; when our spirit is crushed, when we feel cut off, when we are in pieces, and when we are hurt or torn--both in body and in spirit.  The word used in this verse--"near"-- is the Hebrew word qarowb (ka.rove').  It is used to describe place, time and relationship.  How awesome that we see very clearly that we are never alone?  Never.  He is close by.  He is right now!  We can have a personal relationship with the One who is Creator of all!!  He loves you deeply, wholly, eternally, personally!  Rest in that oh, weary souls!

I picked up this super cool prayer journal at a thrift store for a few dollars. I can't tell you what a treasure I have found this to be!! It's called The Weekly Prayer Project:  A Challenge to Journal, Pray, Reflect and Connect with God.

I used a variety of stamp sets and inks.  It rather evolved as I went along.  Stamp sets used:  Peony ClusterJesus & CoffeeGod Is Bigger, and Sunshine Girl Alphabet.  So much wisdom in all of God's Word (obviously!) but I am continually struck and grateful when He places, in front of me, the exact Word I need in the most unexpected and ordinary ways.  When you look, you will see God's hand in everything!

Be Blessed! Jane

Oh snap!

Good morning! How are we already a week into December? Yikes! I have 2 cards to share today using the Sweet ‘n Sassy Christmas Cookies and Sunshine Girl Alpha sets and the December Stamp of the Month: Wood Backgrounds set.

This wood slice background is a lot of fun! I already made 2 cards and have a few other ideas to try. Here I simply paired it with 2 images from Christmas Cookies. I used a white pen to "decorate" them.

For my second card with the cookies, I stamped and colored the gingerbread man, then cut him out. I cut pieces off his arm and leg and glued some bits beside him. The sentiment uses Sunshine Girl Alpha.

Have a great day!
Diane

coffee...then all the things

Hello! Today I have some cards to share using the coffee themed Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from the October Release. This great set is called Jesus & Coffee.

The first two are CAS encouragement cards to let someone know you are 100% behind them...and coffee will help too! My first card simply has a strip of washi tape across the top and the cup is popped up on dimensionals. I colored the cup black and added some dots with a white pen.

My second card also uses the Sunshine Girl Alpha to help create the sentiment. This cup was paper pieced.

I actually don’t drink coffee but I do like to make coffee themed cards. They are great to have on hand when you want to add a gift certificate to your local coffee and donut shop! Here are two more cards to use for that purpose!

On this next card I also used a plaid stamp from Texture Tiles 4, the October Stamp of the Month, to create a patterned To-Go cup in a fun Santa style. Part of the sentiment is from All Wrapped Up and a matching embossing folder was used for the background.

For my last card, I also used the Sunshine Girl Alpha to create the sentiment. Here I paper pieced the middle band on the cup and used an edge die for an interesting background panel.

Have a great day!
Diane

Being Fruity

Hello sweet friends!  Cathy here with two cards using a fun new stamp set released this month, Fruit of the Spirit!

I took the strawberry in the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set and dipped it in chocolate...SWEET!

The background was created with one of the stamps in the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set and a little Glossy Accents was used to make the chocolate nice and shiny.  Add a few sprinkles in the shaker card and you have one SWEET card!

The background on this card features the pineapple from the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set.  The splatters were made with one of the stamps in the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set.  The flamingo from the Be a Flamingo stamp set just dropped in to say, "hello!"  The letters in the sentiment are from the Sunshine Girl Alpha.  The design for this card comes from the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.

Next time you are feeling a little fruity...just reach for the Fruit of the Spirit stamp set from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Cathy
