You're a Star!

Hello Sweet Friends!

We are so excited for this special month of November here at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps celebrating EIGHT YEARS! The DT Divas are sharing Daily Throwbacks with you all month long here on the blog, and over on our Facebook page, to help celebrate!

Today I am re-visiting Stars Die Set:

...and I have a cool shaker card for you:

The background was made with various distress ink daubers (Tim Holtz). The shaker stars are filled with sweet little stars and micro beads.

The greetings came from You're a Star and Ticket Sentiments clear stamp sets.

Be sure to scroll down and read Korin's previous post all about the birthday fun, and then head over to Instagram (@sweetnsassystamps) and Facebook so you don't miss a thing!
Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Celebrate Independence Day!

Happy July 4th to all my U.S. friends!

My family and I celebrated with a bbq and pool
time at our home yesterday.  It's always so much
fun to have a relaxing day together.

My card today carries on the celebration of the
birth of our nation with a bright, totally
red, white, and blue sparkly creation
using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and dies.

Credit goes to a family friend who owns a
print shop and gave me all kinds of wonderful
shimmery card stock.  I hope I was able to
capture it for you!  Just love that blue and gold paper!

You can find all the marvelous Sweet 'n Sassy products
below, and everything I used on my card up on my blog.

Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend!

Hugs,

Jenny

2014 Year in Review - Day 7: You're a Star

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends and welcome back to Day 7 of SNSS 2014 Year in Review!

Today's feature is:
You're a Star

If you are celebrating a success, this stamp set is the perfect "Go To" stamp set. The fun stars and sentiments are perfect for students, birthdays, graduations, and for sending notes of encouragement.

Here's a quick and easy card created by Jacquie using the
You're a Star stamp set:

The recipient of this cute card is sure to receive a boost of confidence.  The four encouraging sentiments from the You're a Star stamp set were stamped in white and the scattering of sequins and bling is a fun addition!

Here's another encouraging card created by Monika using the You're a Star stamp set:

I love the background Monika made by randomly stamping the stars and then overstamping the sentiments…how clever!

Here are several more You're a Star card samples made by the SNSS Designers this past year:

Korin used white on white layered panels with pops of color and sparkling rhinestones for this note of encouragement!

Wouldn't this cheerful card created by Bridget just brighten your day?

Mary used the You're a Star stamp set, the matching Star Dies, the Scallop Border Dies, and the Hearts & Stars Scallop Border Die to create a patriotic card that would be perfect for letting someone in the military know how thankful you are for their sacrificial service!

Another patriotic card created by me uses embedded stars cut with the Star Dies as a background for some patriotic papers and a Kraft panel stamped randomly with stars from the You're a Star stamp set in white ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by…be sure to come back again tomorrow as we review another fabulous stamp set released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps in 2014!

You're A Star!

Good Morning Friends!!  Jacquie here to share with you today!  Today I have an card of encouragement to share with you!  Can you believe that it is ALMOST time to send the kiddos back to school?  Wow, this summer went QUICK!

So, with school in mind and my kids in mind, I created this card.  I LOVE to give my kids positive reinforcement! The set I used it PERFECT for that!  While creating I followed the Splitcoast sketch from yesterday, SC499, and added a bit to it.  Here is the sketch for you to check out.

Here is what I did with the sketch!  I used a pre-made black card base and added 2 panels of DCWV patterned paper.  Now, these were just scraps, as I like to use up what I can.  I added stars from the You're A Star clear stamp set and I combined 2 phrases from the set, to make my sentiment.  After piecing the whole thing together, I completed my project with some red bakers twine and green sequins.  I think this will make a GREAT card for my son!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a WONDERFUL day!

I'm not lion...these are bright! ;)

I don't usually stamp with the bold, bright colors but I've had a bit of fun with them lately!  My first card is bright and sunny…

I can't seem to get enough of the Happy Happy stamps and dies...they are so fun!

My second card is one that I made for a sweet little guy with a special birthday.

It seems so long ago that my own girls had their first birthday...I miss those days!  Time has passed so quickly.
I used the Baby's Circus and You're A Star stamp sets, along with the Numbers dies to make my card.  The lion and stand are raised on foam dots.

Thanks for stopping and checking out what I have to share today!  Be sure to come and see the new release on Friday!

Thankful for You ~

Good Morning SNSS fans and family! Mary here to share a holiday card with you.  At Sweet'nSassy we are so thankful for all the Servicemen and women in the Armed Forces on this Memorial Day. We remember the Fallen and the families left behind. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

My card uses the recently released You're a Star and used the matching stars die to create my layers of stars. To create the border I used the stars border from the hearts and stars border dies and layered it on the scallop border die. The background is embossed using provocrafts CB folder. The sentiment is from the Flower Blocks2 set and the banner is trimmed and cut by hand.

Materials Used:
Stamps: You're a Star, Flower Blocks2
Inks: SU Not quite Navy
Paper: Miscellaneous DP, SU
Accessories: CB folder, SNSS Dies - Stars, hearts and borders, scallop border

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Holiday.

Happy Birthday...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a Clean & Simple card (CAS card). I am always short on birthday cards, so today I have one that can be given to anyone... kids, teens, adults... It's also very easy to make.

I used You're a Star clear stamp set and the coordinating Stars die set.

The big star was die-cut out of the gray background panel... then I placed washi tape strips behind the die-cut. To dress up the card, I used teal thread and rhinestones. The greeting was made with a label maker.

Thank you for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend,
Monika
