Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a circle card with a twist.
Last week I had a quick TUTORIAL on our SNSS Forum at SplitCoast Stampers on how to make circle cards. If you have never made any, check it out!
So I wanted to make another circle card, but this time I added one fold, and turned my card into an Easel card.
I started with making a regular circle card with a fold on the top cover. Then I die-cut 2 red scallop circles and attached those to the front and back of the white circle base card.
This is how it looks from the side:
To decorate my card, I used Thoughtful Rhubarb and Love from Cocoa (greeting) clear stamp set. I stamped Rhubarb, colored it with Copics, then cut the image out... cutting the little bird off.
I die-cut 4 hearts with the brand new Heart Die Set. Stitched 3 of them together in the middle and turned them into a dimensional balloon. I also die-cut a cloud. (I didn't use SNS die for that, but you can use Clouds and Raindrops Die.)
The background is out of a book page and pink paper that I dry embossed with Argyle folder from Cuttlebug. The inside strip (which serves to hold the top circle up) is also dry embossed and distressed.
I also used a picket fence die-cut, pink button, Baker's Twine, red rhinestones, and red Stickles (on Rhubarb's nose).
To make my circles, I used my biggest Circle and Scallop Circle dies from Spellbinders.
If you want to give this a try, make sure you link your card up to our current Wednesday Challenge on SplitCoast Stamper. It's to make a circle card. :o) We would love to see your creations!
Thank you for stopping by,
Monika
