Hello friends! Don't you just love Spring? We've had such a glorious week here...wonderful weather, birds chirping, flowers blooming, time to create! Spring...what a perfect picture of how God works in our lives. He takes the dormant, barren, winter times of our lives and brings forth new growth and a fresh outlook...Sorrow may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning! (Psalm 30:5) Praise the Lord!
With Spring in mind, I have two cards to share with you today. The first was inspired by The Sweet Stop sketch. Korin posts a fabulous new sketch over at The Sweet Stop every Saturday. If you are not familiar with The Sweet Stop, hop on over and join the fun!
Hearing the birds chirping outside my crafting place caused me to reach for this adorable clear stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, "One of a Kind." I followed the sketch for this week at The Sweet Stop. The image is colored with copic markers, cut out, and adhered to an oval nestie sponged with some clouds. The colors were inspired by Bridget's "Hump Day" challenge on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Forum at SCS which was to use aqua and red. My aqua was more turquoise, but I really liked this combination...it's so cheerful! The patterned paper was by My Mind's Eye and was perfect for this color challenge!
The blooming flowers of Spring caused me to reach for this beautiful Spring Tulips Digi image for my second card. This image is also available in a clear stamp set.
Sometimes cropping an image can provide a creative element for a card. Here...the tulip image was cropped for the first layer and left uncolored. The second layer was cropped smaller and colored with copic markers. Everything was layered on some green gingham DP. The sketch for this card was from Arizona Maine for the CAS challenge this past Monday on SCS.
I hope you have a chance to enjoy Spring wherever you are this weekend, and can find some stamping time to capture a bit of Spring!
Blessings to you,
Cathymac

Two beautiful cards, Cathy, and both of them will bring a fresh breath of spring air into the lives of the recipients!
