Hello friends! Happy Wednesday…hope you are having a wonderful week. Cathy here with some wintery cards to share using two of the new stamp sets just released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I just love using the new Winter Blessings and Grunge Elements 2 stamp sets!
Last week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was used for the design of this card. The ink splotch from Grunge Elements 2 was randomly stamped on the background using Evergreen Bough, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. The glittery strip down the side was made by embossing a Neenah Solar Crest strip with Hologram Highlights Embossing Powder. After clear embossing the Winter Blessings background, the same three colors of distress ink were sponged over the embossing creating an ombre effect. The sentiment was stamped on another panel using the same colors. Some metallic thread and rhinestones were added to finish the card.
Here's a tip: I didn't have card stock to perfectly match these colors so I rubbed the Blueprint Sketch ink pad directly onto the edges of white card stock to make the matt for each panel. Voila! Instant matching card stock!
Check out MY BLOG to see the details for this card.
These stamp sets were used to make both cards:
If you've not had a chance to see all the wonderful stamps and dies released last week, hop on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store and check them out! Some of our favorite sets have just been restocked as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
