Hello Sweet Friends! Julie here and today I am sharing a quick Mixed
Media Christmas card using We Three Kings (designed by Korin Sutherland).
I love the images and sentiments in this set- they are perfect for Christmas cards that reflect the true meaning of Christmas!
To create this card, die cut a circle
from white cardstock and apply three different distress oxide inks to the background for the sky.
Ink the main image from We Three Kings with archival black
ink, stamp onto the ink blended circle, apply clear embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. Once the powder has cooled, dilute a bit of white acrylic paint with water and splatter onto the top of the circle with a paint brush and mount onto a black cardstock circle die cut.
Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment from We Three Kings (in the same manner as above) onto white cardstock, create the fishtail banner either with a punch (or by hand) and mount onto black cardstock.
Layer a piece of embossed white cardstock onto a black card front, add a split metallic snowflake doily directly to the card front and mount the focal image along with the sentiment using dimensional foam.
Add a rhinestone to the center of the star to finish off the card.
Christmas is fast approaching- have
you started making your cards yet? If
not, the We Three Kings stamp set is perfect for quick, easy cards that your
family and friends will love!
Thanks for taking the time to visit
us today - hugs and God Bless, sweet friends!
