My card today features the darling new Back to School set. I love all the little images, but by far these little crayons had me itching to get inky. I've had a love for crayons for as long as I can remember, and I can remember my first box of 64 (with a built in sharpener) like it was yesterday! Unfortunately my boys felt they grew out of crayons at the age of 4! They're for colored pencils or bust. 😄Julee Tilman

I started my card by stamping out all the images in the set. and coloring with Copic markers. This set is positively adorable and since my boys are headed to a new school for 2nd grade, I thought it would be nice to give a card to their teacher (bless her heart, super competitive twins in the same classroom!) on the first day.
I chose some fall patterned papers and aged them a bit with distress oxides, divided them down the center with a seam binding bow. I layered on a couple of the crayon sets and the school image, then added the sentiment on another strip of patterned paper. Some brown mats and a card base and this fun little card was done. Here's a look at the whole set all colored up. Isn't it the cutest?
Here's a fabulous card by Korin featuring the Faith Wordfetti stamp set. I love the rich texture she created with Texture Tiles 1 and Cheerful Hexies and it's perfectly framed with some of the fabulous sentiments from Faith Wordfetti.
And Julie Cassell pairs the School Days Alpha and Back to School sets beautifully on this rolodex card. So fabulous, makes me want to go find a rolodex and start stamping!
Okay, the next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry. But before you go, there's an AWESOME sale in the shop this week! Take a look...
Simply add THREE alphabet sets to your cart and you'll get one of them FREE! Woohoo!
Time to catch up on your ABC's! Offer good through August 19. We've got over 20 alphas, including our brand new School Days Alpha so don't miss out!And here's a little look-see at the sets included in the AUGUST release...

Our new illustrator, Jenn Nilsson, is back at it with two adorable new sets this month. The Back to School set is filled with images and fun sentiments great for encouragement cards, back to school, lunch notes for your kiddos, or cards for the amazing teachers that shape our little ones' minds. I especially love the you ring my bell sentiment! 😁
Next up is another ADORABLE set illustrated by Jen. The Tea for Two is a great all occasion set celebrating two fabulous things... friendship and tea! An adorable bunny in a up, a tea kettle and lots of coordinating images make this such a fun set!
Continuing on with a back to school theme, this next set has a little something for the artist in you. In His Image, illustrated by Rebecca Rios is filled with builder sentiments and artistic imagery perfect for both cardmakers and bible journalers alike. After all, we're created in the image of the ultimate maker!
Next up is a little set that packs a BIG punch. Meet Faith Wordfetti. Another fabulous sentiment set from Korin Sutherland, this faith inspired set of 32 sentiments is just fabulous.
Rounding out our back to school theme is the School Days Alpha illustrated by Rebecca Rios. This fun alpha with both upper and lowercase letters and a couple punctuation marks is super fun and versatile. The team has created some wonderful projects with it!
That's our August release in a nutshell! So many fabulous sets to choose from! Thanks so much for hanging out with me as I reviewed this fantastic release.
May you be blessed today and always!
