Cathy here and I have one more Christmas card to share using some of the wonderful new silhouette stamps that will officially be released in January, but are available now for pre-order at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

The snowdrifts were masked and the sky sponged with distress Inks, spritzed with water, sprayed with Perfect Pearls for shimmer, and splattered with white acrylic paint.  The snowdrifts were also sponged with the same Distress inks as the sky.  The deer and tree were added with the help of my Misti Tool.  The panel was cut with a Spellbinder square die and then cut into fourths.  Each piece was then matted with an offset piece of black card stock and adhered to a white card front.  I wanted this to be a Christmas card, so I pulled out a Christmas sentiment, but this card could very easily be for any occasion depending upon the sentiment chosen.

Joy to you this Christmas

Hello Everyone!  Today, I have a beautiful poinsettia card to share with you featuring the Poinsettia & Candles stamp set.  I went with a very traditional colors and added a touch of gold for that added sparkle.  I randomly stamped the images to create my own background paper and colored the images with copic markers. 

And here's another version I previously created in pink...I also love using nontraditional colors!

wood slice ornaments

Good morning!

 

Today I am sharing some wood slice ornaments. Here I used my Holiday Hugs and Poinsettias & Candles stamp sets along with We Three Kings.

 

The ornaments were stamped with Archival ink and watercolored with Inktense pencils. The first two are from Poinsettias & Candles and We Three Kings.  I added some Wink of Stella to the star, base, and flames on the first one and a tiny rhinestone to the star on the wise men one.

The third and fourth use Poinsettias & Candles and Holiday Hugs. More Wink of Stella on the flower centers and snow angel wings.

blessings ornament

The big question this time of year is always… “Are you ready for Christmas?”. I'm getting there! We finally got our tree up and my baking and shopping is done...except for the Christmas meal. I hope your preparations are going smoothly!

 

I was playing around earlier this week with some salt dough ornaments using my Poinsettias & Candles stamp set and one of my collectible Christmas cookie stamps.

 

I mixed my dough and rolled it out on freezer paper, then cut the hearts by hand.  I used 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup salt and 1/4 cup warm water but my mixture was sticky and needed more flour. Next time I’ll add more salt or less water. Use a toothpick or straw to make a hole.

The hearts were stamped with Versafine ink and the Poinsettias & Candles stamp set.

I baked them in a toaster oven at 200 degrees and flipped them a few times (not sure how long) but my toaster oven runs hot so next time I’ll use the regular oven.  The toaster oven browned them a bit…so I sponged some Distress Vintage Photo on to “age” them.

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!  Cathy here with several cards to share with you today.  November is a busy month for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps…we are celebrating our 9th birthday all month long!  We started our month long festivities with a new release.  My Friend, one of the new stamp sets released, was an addition to the Jesus line of stamps designed by Krista Hamerick.

About twenty ladies from church got together yesterday to make Christmas cards.  Since some of the ladies had never stamped before I kept the card designs pretty simple.  This card featuring Winter Blessings was one of the cards we made.  The sentiment is from the Poinsettias & Candles stamp set designed by Diane Zechman.

It's right around the corner!

Happy Wednesday friends, yes, Christmas is right around the corner and you can never start to early working on your stash of Christmas cards.  I have 2 cards to share with you today both showing sets from our 2016 Christmas release.

This first one is using Holiday Hugs, such a cute little set created by Diane Zechman. I made a shaker card using paper from BoBunny.

This next card I think is my favorite of all the ones I have made with the new release. It is using Poinsettias & Candles also created by Diane Zechman. I paired it with this beautiful paper by Authentique. Good morning!

 

Today Sweet ‘n Sassy is featuring two new stamp sets (of mine!) that were released this month.  Here I used my Poinsettias & Candles stamp set on this mostly monochromatic card. 

 

I mainly stayed in the blues with just a touch of yellow and gray.  The candles were cut out by hand and layered over a paper doily with some bits of ribbon and twine to accent.
