Hi everyone! Mary here to share with you. My card today might seem out of season but not really. The chronology of Jesus birth, life and death was all a Master plan for mankind. As you celebrate Christ's birth let us not lose sight of the life laid down for us at Calvary. 

I combined the all new Grunge elements to depict drops of blood and used the stamp and matching dies from Jesus Paid it all.

Letter to Santa and a Prayer

Hello dear friends,

With each ornament there is a story.   We sigh as we gently unwrap each treasured piece.   A season of life passed, sweet memories relived once more.   A communion cup that holds an ice cream sundae made in Sunday School (she smiles).   Beautiful ceramic ornaments made by another navy wife and friend of many years.   And two glass ornaments from Germany that graced our tree the second year of marriage.   All special and meaningful to each of us.   Our children who are now grown still love to hear the stories again.

Did you ever help your child pen a letter to Santa?   My husband use to answer letters from the children of employees who would write letters to Santa.   Yep, for years he was Kris Kringle.   But he also knows the real meaning of Christmas too.   The gift of salvation given to all mankind - Jesus Christ, the greatest gift of all.   A gift given before we ever had to ask.

May we humble ourselves and receive him.  To God be the glory.

Today I'm sharing a card I created using one of the new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps December Release sets, Typewriter Text Background.  I used a Darice embossing folder (Christmas Ornaments) as my background with some Graphic 45 ephemera fussy cut from their collection, Christmas Emporium. I sanded the embossed panel and used gold ribbon, twine, and some rusty bells to finish the card.   I thought it provided a nice vintage feel.

Christmas Silhouettes...

Hello! It's Monika here today, bringing you a Christmas card... but before I get to my card, I would like to remind you that Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is doing 12 Days of Christmas. 12 days of sweet deals, and today it's 15% off bundles! 

Now to my card... I am so in love with Christmas Silhouettes clear stamp set and the coordinating die set. (If you don't have this set, today you could get a sweet deal on the stamp and die bundle!)
I love using the pretty images, (especially the mistletoe), but today, I decided to use the elegant deer image.

I also used the Large Snowflake Die set and die-cut a medium large snowflake out of vellum. It was the perfect backdrop to the deer. The background was stamped with the brand new Typewriter Text Background stamp and splatters from Grunge Elements clear stamp set.

The unusual color combination came from The Color Throwdown #272.

Paint the Town Orange!

Hello Everyone!

Christmas is just 12 days away!  I hope all of you are farther along in your preparations than me!  Of course, I still had to work in some stamping time.  Today's card uses the newest Cocoa stamp.  He is just the cutest thing, and if you are one who likes bright colors, this set is for you.  These Colorful Cocoa images are full of potential!

Cocoa is colored with Copics and fussy cut out.  I am loving the paintbrush- so fun to put spatters behind Cocoa and his brush.  You can either use the Grunge Elements or, as I did here, some spriting of ink.  The teal banner is actually a paint swatch from Home Depot; I really wanted to work one of them into the card as there are usually several taped to a wall in my house at any given time!

I love them all, but my favorite set from this month's Sweet 'n Sassy release is Keep in Touch.  The coordinating dies are not only a bonus...but a must-have as well!  Here's another card I made that I didn't share in the blog hops.

Inspiration for this card came from one that my friend Tracy made two or three years ago.  She used a similar image with a "quilted" background and I loved it so much.  I knew when I first saw this set that I wanted to somewhat case it.

Is this not a fabulous typewriter?

I am having a hard time putting this set away.  I hope you enjoy it too!

Snow Glad We're Friends

Hi everyone!  I hope that your holiday planning is going well.  It is such a busy and fun time of the year.  Today I would like to share two cards with you using the adorable Snowy Hello stamp set.

I stamped the snowflakes in the bg and popped up the snowman which was colored with copics with foam tape. Stickles were added for sparkle.  The papers are My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland.  I used the mini tag die for the sentiment which is from Christmas tags set.

The image once again was colored with copics and stickles were added as the snow.  I added rhinestones to the scallops that were cut using the scallop border dies.  The papers are also from My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland collection.
