Everything Beautiful

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee here, excited to pop in and share a fun little card featuring some favorite sets of mine.

This shabby creation started with the beautiful clock face from Time Well Spent. I embossed it in copper onto some old prima patterned paper, then cut with a circle die and matted with another circle die that I also embossed the edges in copper. Next I stamped out some of the flowers and leaves from Consider the Wildflowers and watercolored and then hand trimmed to form a little collage around the clock.

The Ecclesiastes verse is from the Begin Again set, and I embossed it on the same paper as the clock, then cut some little fish tail banners to layer behind it to form a banner.  I aged the background paper a bit with distress oxides, then finished off with a touch of black lace and half of a butterfly from Begin Again.

I hope you have a fantastic day! Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Friends, Esther here sharing two fun coffee themed cards with you. I'm sure you're aware of that the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is in progress, and Sweet n Sassy Stamps is one of their sponsors. You can find an awesome line-up of Sweet n Sassy beverage themed stamps by CLICKING HERE. They also have a digital stamp that I'm using on my cards today -- the fun thing about digitals is you can purchase and play immediately AND make them whatever size you want!!

My first card is feminine with a quilt themed background, strip of paper lace, and a bold flower accenting my coffee cup.

Encouragement card by Julee Tilman

For my card today, I'm sharing a shabby little mixed-media card featuring the Consider the Wildflowers set and a sentiment from In This Together. I seriously love this sentiment Korin added to the physical stamp set. It should be a plaque on my wall right now! LOL  I started by stenciling a grid background with some buttercup glitter glaze.  I then stamped the flowers and leaves and colored with watercolor markers and then added some details with fineliner pens.  I fussy cut these, then embossed the sentiment onto a piece of vellum cardstock, then tore out and added a sketch little frame to it.  Some black paint splatters and shabby edges finish things off.

Isn't this card by Korin absolutely GORGEOUS! She made her own DIY pattern paper with the Consider the Wildflower set, then added a sentiment from In This Together and that big old beautiful butterfly from Begin Again as her focal point. Simply stunning!

Okay, the next stop on the hop is my blog, Poetic Artistry

Encouragement Zine

Hello stamping friends, Esther here with something a little different to share with you.
It's a little book make from one sheet of 8.5 x 11 in. paper and called a "zine."

For this zine I used a piece of designer paper from the Barnwood Pretty pack by The Paper Studio.
I'm also showcasing quite a few of the new release from Sweet n Sassy for the month of May.

Here's an illustration of how to fold a zine that I found on Pinterest.

Encouraging Thought and Wildflowers

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee here, popping in with the first blog post of May! There's a whole brand new release of awesome stamps in the shop today.

May always brings thoughts of pretty flowers, and the new Consider the Wildflowers set has them in spades! It's another absolutely gorgeous collaboration with Susanne Corson of ConfettiCreativo. I paired it with the May Stamp of the Month... Encouraging Thoughts. This sentiment set has so many great phrases and during the month of May you can get it as a FREE gift with a $75 purchase in the store.

To start I stamped the wildflowers out on smooth bristol paper and then colored with Copic markers and hand trimmed. These were so fun to color.  I knew I wanted a dimensional flower for the first card, so stamped that image twice, then fussy cut the center flower only and layered on top of the full stamped image with foam tape. For the background, I smooshed a little hickory smoke distress oxide onto white cardstock. Then I chose a strip of patterned paper and added the sentiment.

For the next card, I wanted that big flower cluster to take center stage. So I chose a fun black and white patterned paper background, then popped the image up on foam tape. The sentiment is stamped directly on the card base.

If you love the whole release, you can pick up the May Early Bird Bundle at a special price through May 9.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous start to this new month!
