A New Year

 

Happy New Year, everybody!

It's a new year and everyone has their resolutions right? Well I don't really do resolutions but I do try to set goals and try my best to make them. 

This year I am wanting to be more like Jesus in everything even in my crafting. 

So my goal this year is to make and send out more encouragement cards and cards to let the recipient know that they are loved and being prayed for. To make this card I used the Blooming Anemones paired with the Heartfelt Thoughts sentiment set. 

It seems that the years are hard these days so I am wanting to brighten someone's day.

Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here with a Sympathy/Encouragement card featuring the Botanical Branches and Heartfelt Thoughts stamp sets. We all don't like making these type of cards so I like to have a couple on hand just in case.

 

I like to keep layouts very clean and simple and keep the focus on letting the recipient know that we are thinking of them.  For today's sample I stamped one of the Eucalyptus branches from the Botanical Branches set with alcohol friendly ink and did some very basic copic coloring before stamping one of the sentiments from the Heartfelt thoughts partially over the branch. 

 

Card Measurements:

A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/5")

Black Mat: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Stitched Panel: 3 3/8" x 4 5/8"

Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here with a card featuring a sentiment from the NEW Heartfelt Thoughts stamp set. This set is the November 2021 Stamp of the Month and is FREE with any $60 order. This set is perfect for Encouragement/Sympathy cards.

 

The background panel was created from the Grunge Stripe Background and Texture Tiles 1 stamp sets. The floral sprig is from the Botanical Branches stamp set. I used a monochromatic color pallet and used copic markers to color. For embellishment I added a few sequins.

 

 

Card Measurements:

Mini Slimline: 6" x 3 1/2" (6" x 7", scored at 3 1/2" on the 7" side)

Green Scallop Mat: 5 5/8" x 3 1/8"

Striped Layer: 5 3/8" x 2 7/8"

White Layer: 4 1/16" x 1 9/16"

Grandma's Doily

 

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends! 

It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card featuring our Stamp of the Month, Heartfelt Thoughts.  You will receive this set free with a $60 order. This is a great set to have on hand for sending encouragement cards. 

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base and the Vintage Lace Doily stencil which reminds me so much of my grandma's house and Villainous Potion ink which I love!  I used a blending brush to distribute the ink over the stencil and to finish the card I added sequins because who doesn't love a little sparkle
