Latte Love

Happy Friday my crafty friends! I'm excited to show you today's card using the new stamp & die set called Latte Love from this month's new release

I made an A2 card base and cut another piece to use as the front panel. On this piece, I used the Background Builders: Stripes stamps to make a checkered table in pink inks.

Next, I stamped and die cut images from the Latte Love stamp set, and colored them with Copic markers. I used foam tape behind the images and glued them to the card. Then I stamped the hearts above the coffee mugs to make it seem like heart-shaped steam was rising from them. To finish, I added some glossy accents to those cute mugs and on the sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed today's blog post! Don't forget to checkout this month's new release

Hugs and Kisses

It is time to send out Valentine's cards!! I love to send out Valentine's - they are less stressful than Christmas and so cheerful!! Today I have two Valentine's cards to share using the Hugs and Kisses Stencil and the Latte Love set (with dies). They are clean and simple layouts but I think the "pop" comes from the fun backgrounds. What do you think?

PS - in the background, you are seeing some of my tiered tray decorations - chunky wooden hearts with the Hugs and Kisses Stencil used to paint on the textures, and a "stack of Valentine's books" using Bitty Minnie Alpha.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you were inspired today!

Coffee & Chocolates Gift Card Holder

Hi sweet friends! It's Julee here, popping in with a fun gift card holder idea for a valentine, birthday, or just because. First things first, this is not my original idea. I made one years ago from a tutorial on someone's blog, but I can't remember who posted it. So I measured the prototype I had and drew up my own instructions. You can click on the image for a larger version, then save and print for reference.

It's a fun template, which has a belly band to hold a gift card, and depending on the size of circle you cut, can hold a mini coffee cup, a k-cup, or with no circle you can fill it with chocolates. I of course, went with a coffee theme, and used my new set, Latte Love.

For this holder I added a little embellishment to the k-cup with removable glue dots. The treat yourself sentiment is from the Birthday Wordfetti set, and I added my cup image and steam from Latte Love to the belly band.

You can also make this easily into a treat/gift card holder by not cutting a circle in the base.  I tucked  three ghirardelli squares wrapped in ribbon inside, but you could also use single reese's peanut butter cups, or any little goody bag tucked in the 2.5" square portion.

If you have mini coffee cups, then you can use an approximate 2" circle for the hole.  I bought my cups off Amazon and filled this one up with chocolates for my boys' awesome teacher.  I deconstructed one of the cups and cut it down to make a template for the mini cup belly band, then cut that from patterned paper and embellished with a heart from the Hearts Die Set.  The happy valentine's day portion is from the Love Wordfetti set, and the rings of coffee behind the Latte Love sentiment piece is from Texture Tiles 9.

Here are the written instructions (included in the graphic above):

  1. Score 11 x 2.5” in cardstock on the long side at 0.75”, 3.25”, 4“ and 6.5”
  2. If making a coffee cup or k-cup holder, adhere the 2.25” square mat (if using) in the square you will cut the circle from (right of the 0.75” scored edge), then die cut or punch circle. For a chocolate holder, you do not need to cut a circle. 1. Score 11” in cardstock on the long side at 0.75”, 3.25”, 4“ and 6.5”
  3. crease and burnish scored lines
  4. Apply adhesive to front 0.75” flap then fold up so circle hole is facing up and attach adhesive portion to the longest section
  5. Mat with patterned paper and embellish as desired.
  6.  Score 6.5" x 0.75" belly band piece 1.75” from each side, crease and burnish, then apply adhesive to one end and wrap around holder.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired to make one of these gift card holders.  If you do, be sure to share it over in the VIP Facebook group so we can ooh and ahh over it!

You Are Totally Mug-nificent

Hello Sweet Friends! Sheri here with a Valentine card idea featuring the NEW Latte Love stamp & coordinating die set from the February 2022 Release!

Do you ever struggle with finding the perfect layout? Do you ever use Sketches? I find that the help get your MOJO going! For this card I played around with the Sheet Loads of Cards January 2022 Sketch. They give you the measurements to make 1 or 9 in the case of the sketch I was working with. How FUN is that!

After picking a sketch to work with along with the pattern papers I wanted to use I pulled out the adorable Latte Love stamp set and stamped a couple images and used my copic markers to color in the mug. For a little added sparkle I used my glue pen and added a little glitter to the hearts on the mug. I then assembled the card using the sketch as a guide and added a few red clay hearts as embellishment! I hope that you will give the idea to play along with a sketch a try!

Card Measurements:
White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x11", scored at 5 1/2")
Pattern Paper Layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
Black Strip Mat: 2 3/4" x 5 1/4"
Pattern Paper Strip Layer: 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"

Love in a Mug

Hello crafty friends! Who's ready for the weekend? I know I am, lol! I'm so excited to share with you today's card with a coffee/love theme. Most of the supplies I used are from this month's new release, I hope you check it out.

To start I made an A2 size card base. Then I cut another piece to use for the front panel of the card. On this piece, I used the new Hugs & Kisses stencil with a light pink ink. Then I shifted the stencil just a bit to use some hot pink paste. That way the light pink ink shows as a shadow behind the hot pink paste. On the left side of the front panel I used the same light pink ink to stamp the coffee beans from the Texture Tiles 9 stamp set.

Next I stamp and die cut one of the mugs from the new Latte Love stamp set and used Copic Markers and Liquid Pearls to color it, and glued it to the front panel. I then heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Latte Love stamp set to a banner die cut and glued it to the card. To finish, I stamped those cute hearts to make it look like heart-shaped steam is rising up from the coffee mug. These hearts also come in the Latte Love stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed today's blog post! Don't forget to checkout this month's new release, you will love it!
