2014 Year in Review - Day 9: Script Mother Word Die

Hello friends!  It's time to begin another week of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps 2014 Year in Review!  We hope you've been enjoying our look back at all the wonderful stamps and dies released in 2014, and now you can pick up all of stamps and dies being featured at 25% off the regular price through the end of this month!  

Word dies have gained in popularity throughout this past year and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has a word die honoring Mother.

Script Word Mother Die

Here are a couple new samples created by Mary and Janette:

Beautiful paper and a lovely sentiment from the Bridge of Hope stamp set are a gorgeous background for the sparkly Script Word Mother die cut on this card created by Mary.

Love how Janette layered two of the Script Word Mother die cuts to add depth to the word Mother.  She added a pretty Scalloped Border and a sentiment from the Lots-a-Spots stamp set to finish this beautiful birthday card for MOM!

The Typewriter Text Background and a few splatters make a delicate background for the Script Word Mother die cut on this gorgeous card created by Monika.  The sentiment and flower are from the Thankful Blooms stamp set and the flower was cut with the matching Thankful Blooms Dies.

A stenciled background and a sentiment from the Thankful Innies stamp set were used with the Script Word Mother die cut on this beautiful card created by Bridget.  The leaves on the flowers were cut with the Thankful Blooms Die Set.  Bridget's use of colors just grabs us again!

Ceal created a soft stenciled background for her Script Word Mother die cut which was placed on an angle along with a flower from the Thankful Blooms to make her beautiful Mother's Day card.

Lee Ann used the negative Script Word Mother die cut layered on some beautiful Spellbinders rectangle dies to create this gorgeous card for mother.  Love how she rolled and glittered the flowers from the Thankful Blooms stamp set.  

Several of the Script Word Mother die cuts were layered, glittered, covered with Glossy Accents, and embedded on this Mother's Day card created by me.  The layers of flowers from the Thankful Blooms stamp set was also covered with Glossy Accents for a shiny finish.

Hello Everyone!

I am sharing a card today, made for that all-important person, Mom.  Word dies are so trendy right now and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has a great one, Mother.  I combined this die with the Thankful Blooms Clear Stamp Set to make this Mother's Day card.

I started by making my card base from a Spellbinders Die, then used the negative space of the Mother Die, allowing the purple to show through.  The diecut paper is popped up on dimensionals for depth.

The card is embellished with flowers I made using the Thankful Blooms Clear Stamp Set.  I used the rock and roll technique to stamp them in two shades of pink, then die cut them out with their coordinating dies.  Once they were die cut out, I spiral cut along the white petal lines of the flowers and then, using a quilling tool, rolled them into rolled roses.  A little bit of clear glitter to the edges of the petals gives them some sparkle.
I used the Small Leaves Die to cut my leaves for the roses and colored them with Copics.  I added other bits of dies- twigs and vine- and some tiny purple flowers using a punch to complete the floral spray.  Pearls added as flower centers finishes off the card.

May Happenings

Hello Sweet 'n, Sassy friends!
Just wanted to let you know what's happening at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month.

A special Sweet 'n Sassy friend, Brenda Kominek (A.K.A. tessaduck on Splitcoaststampers), will be joining us here on the SNSS Blog as a Guest Designer for the month of May.  You can see her fabulous gallery HERE.  She will be posting to the SNSS Blog every Tuesday in May, so be sure to stop by and give her a warm welcome!  Brenda is such a loyal supporter of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and we can't wait to see her wonderful talent displayed here!

This weekend we will be at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center Hall A for the Stamp Scrap Art Tour in Oaks, PA.  Stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy booth to say hello if you are in the area.  We will be doing a Make-and-Take at the booth on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th.

At the end of the month, on May 30th - June 1st, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will have a booth at the Syracuse, NY Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Getaway 2014 Convention.  We will also be participating in the Friday Night Make-and-Take Party from 6:30-9:00 p.m. which should be loads of fun!  Be sure to stop in if you are in the Syracuse area!

We will also be continuing our April Release Friday Feature Challenges on the SNSS Blog each Friday in May. Hello!  I have another sneak peek today of the awesome new release that Sweet 'n Sassy has coming on Friday.  Whether you are wishing your mother a happy birthday or thinking ahead to Mother's Day next month, I am sharing a card today for that special someone we call "mom".

I created a monochromatic card with one of my new favorite flower sets, Thankful Blooms and a sentiment from Lots-A-Spots.  The word "Mother" is also a fabulous new die.  I love this release!
