My Favorite Flower

My favorite garden flowers are Oriental Poppies. I love their rich color, and wispy stems that hold such a beautiful bloom. Today I am sharing a card I made with the Poppies Digital Stamp.

After printing, I heat set the ink, and then carefully watercolored my image using dye inks and a watercolor brush. I let it dry, and then ran the image through my Big Shot with an embossing folder for added texture. A few embellishments, and all done!

This makes a sweet all-occasion card, which I will stamp inside once it is needed!

Customer Spotlight Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Customer Spotlight Sunday! Wait until you see the gorgeous inspiration I'm sharing today! I came across a couple of cards in our Splitcoaststampers gallery that I couldn't wait to share here!

The first is from Lee, and she actually was the lucky winner of a free set for playing along with a challenge from our release party.  Lee used the fun Snowflake Flourish clear stamp set  on her card.

The second card I'm swooning over today is from Beate.  I love how she highlighted those poppies from the Poppies and Greetings clear stamp set!  This card is her sample for Sweet 'n Sassy Design Diva Holly McMillen's video tutorial for the Frosted Window technique over on Splitcoaststampers this week.

Poppies.

This isn't a new set, but it's my favorite of all my Sweet 'n Sassy sets.... Poppies & Greetings. I stamped the main image of the set in Versafine Onyx Black ink on a book page, then painted the poppies in with white acrylic paint. I used Polar White Flower Soft and Martha Stewart glitter in the flower centers. This is my last guest post for the month.... sigh.... it has been lots of fun! Thanks to Korin and the Design Team for having me over to play!
