Brrrrrr! Baby It's Cold Outside

Hello sweet friends!  If you live on the east coast, you know we are expected to get hit with a very BIG snow storm today!  Now…while freshly fallen snow is beautiful to look at, I for one do NOT enjoy shoveling two feet of the stuff!  So, my card creation for today is a reflection of how I feel about the looming forecast.

The snowy looking background was created by sprinkling Color Burst pigments through a stencil and spritzing them with water.  A few more splatters were added to fill in some of the empty spaces.  The sentiments and the darling image are from the Winter with Winnie stamp set available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Store.  The large sentiment panel was cut with one of the very versatile Decorative Plaques Dies.  The design was inspired by last week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.  The curves creating the open space for the sentiments were made with the Hillside Edges Dies.

Now for a sweet change of pace, you may not have seen these cards made with two of the new digital images just released:

This new Cocoa Sends Love and Sending Love Sentiment images are perfect for sending lots of love!  The tag was cut with one of the Mini Tags Dies.

How sweet is this?  The Sweet as Candy and Candy Sentiments digital images are economical and fun to work with because you can move them around and resize them as needed.

I hope you've enjoyed today's samples!
Stay safe and stay warm!

Hugs,
Cathy

You're The Best

{jane bosi}  Happy Middle of the Week, Sweet Friends!  Can you believe we are half way to a weekend already?

We are also well on our way in the new year!  New Years always brings with it reflection and resolutions.  Promises to "be the best me"; "New Year, New You".  We've heard all of the cliches.  I'm not ashamed to admit, it is exactly this sentiment I was thinking about when I created this card featuring Winter With Winnie.

Now, I'm not much for "the shoulds" or New Years Resolutions.  I do, however, firmly believe that each day is a gift to be the best you can be.  I am a very reflective person and I do spend quiet time seeking His will for how I should conduct my days.  I like to think I'm very honest with myself when I miss the mark.  I try to meet each day, seeking that which He would have me be.  I fall short, but I keep on trying.

So, this is my "Stand Out In the Crowd" card.  It's a challenge for myself and each of you to be your best.  To stand up and stand out for the One who made you.

I had to call attention to the "Stand Out" and used the What's Up Clear Stamp Set and Dies to do it.

Go ahead...Be Awesome!  Jane

Bring On Spring!

I love the sassy look to Winnie in this image from Winter With Winnie. There are some really fun sentiments to go with this set. I chose "Bring on Spring" with spring flowers in the background and snowflakes in the foreground in my papers. We have had some wonderful spring temperatures this week in the high 50's and low 60's (it's usually in the 20's!) and I am just fine with that!

Be sure to take advantage of the amazing sale going on right now through tomorrow - 50% off!
You can find Winter With Winnie HERE in the Shop! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope it's warm where you are too! I know it won't last here!

Baby, It's Cold Outside.....

{jane bosi}  Brrrrrr.... Winter Winnie is feeling the cold days of winter starting to roll in!!  Happy Friday, Sweet Friends!

I wanted to create a snow globe shaker card and thought Winter With Winnie would be the perfect addition!  You can see the dimension of the card when it's open:
It's essentially a three panel card with two of the panels trimmed to fit my overall design.  The snow mounds were created using the Hillside Edges dies.  I imagine my world, here in Wisconsin, will be looking like this in no time!

In celebration of Sweet N Sassy's 8th birthday, we are doing a little "About Me" segments so here's a little bit about me!

My name is Jane Bosi and I am a child of the One True King, a wife, a mother, an advocate, a friend and a crafter.  I love to laugh, meet new people, sing, read and hang out with my kiddos.  My husband and I started dating our senior year of high school (many, many decades ago) and after two years, took a decade long break.  We were brought back together by design and will be celebrating 19 years of marriage this coming April.  We have five children: Ben, 17; Madeline, 15; Sophia, 11; Daniel, 8 ½ and Chloe, 7.  Parenting is the single most difficult job I can ever imagine, but also the most rewarding.  I worked at home from the time Ben was born until a few years ago when Chloe started 4K.  I would never trade those years for anything.

People don’t often know that prior to becoming a mom, I earned my Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling and worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital.  I am blessed to have been able to return to my field recently and now work in a day treatment program that provides mental health services to children k-12.  Other than being a parent, it is the best job I have ever had!!  I love going to work!

I’ve been a fan of Sweet ‘N Sassy Stamps for so long, I can’t remember when I wasn’t.  I joined the Design Team a year ago, but had been promoting SNSS in my art long before that as a vendor sponsor of Technique Junkies.  In addition to being a fan of SNSS images and dies, I’m a huge fan of the heart behind it all!

I’m inspired by many things.  To be truthful, I don’t spend a lot of time blog hopping or looking at galleries, but I am a gigantic fan of pinterest!  I love color and shiny things, but not glitter!  Sequins are a godsend and distress inks are my favorite.

My best advice to any stamper, new or seasoned, would be to understand what product can do.  Don’t be afraid to experiment with that ink on that paper or wonder what would happen if you mix this with that.  Unleash that creativity.  Be awesome.

I’m fickle when it comes to my favorite because whatever I’ve chosen on any given day happens to be my favorite for that time.  Here are a few of my favorite SNSS creations:

You'll find the tutorial to create this sweet candy pour box in this post.  It features stamps from Get Well Critters and So Sweet Cocoa.
This favorite I created in tribute to France following the Hebdo tragedy.  Sadly, it remains relevant.  It features Parisian Postcard.

These samples are from another tutorial I posted and feature some of the beautiful butterfly sets, as well as Parisian Postcard.  You will find links to each stamp set used, in this post.

And, finally, if pressed for a favorite, I'd say the Winnie line.  I think she's a relateable character with spunk and personality that totally appeals to me!  This particular card features the Windy Winnie set with a verse from Be Encouraged.

Well!  That is it for me today!  Speaking of TODAY---you start earning DOUBLE Sweet and Sassy CASH rewards now through Monday.  And, all SNSS digital product are 50% OFF!!  It IS Black Friday....you can shop in comfort, right now :)

Be Awesome!  TTFN, Jane

Aaaaaaah…now that's better!  This card will be sure to warm your heart!

Be sure to bundle up when you head outside…

…and don't forget to wear you hat…

…because if you do, you just might catch a bug!

Get Well Critters and the matching Get Well Critter Die Set have been so popular, we've already had to reorder, but don't worry…they are back in stock and the dies will be here any day!

This cute pup is sure to have you feeling better in no time at all!

At a loss for words?  The new Keep in Touch, Too stamp set with matching Banner Dies has just the right sentiment.

Use them as a background…

…pair them up and use them with the Speech Bubbles (How clever is this!)…

…or use them alone.

I'd say that this release has a little bit of everything, so what are you waiting for?  Head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Store to pick up some of these great new products.

Oh…wait just a minute…if you like our new Winnie stamp sets, we have a new one coming that will just blow you away.  Be sure to join us next Friday when we will be revealing the new Sweet Perks Club Bundles for the month of March!

This card created by Cathy uses Winnie's Warm Wishes.
Winnie is just adorable and so much fun to color!  Our new Winnie stamp sets were design by Wynne Gettelfinger, a high school senior!  What talent!

Monika's darling card uses the new Winter With Winnie stamp set.
Winnie is bundled up and ready for the next Arctic front that moves in!  Love the bit of whimsy on Monika's card!

Korin used Get Well Critters, Get Well Critters Dies, and the Banner Dies on her delightful get well card.
This little bed-ridden porker and a rainbow of colors is sure to brighten up the recipient's day!

Cathy used the new Praise the Lord Bluebird Die that coordinates with the popular Praise the Lord stamp set, Keep in Touch, Too, and the Banner Dies on this pretty Thinking of you card.
Anyone ready for Spring yet?  Offsetting the banners with a different color creates a shadow and adds dimension.
