Good Morning Sweet'nSassy
friends! It's tutorial Monday and Mary here to play with you all
today! Let's get started! I am going to share with you my version of
embossing on Kraft cardstock and colouring using copics. I was inspired
by cards I pinned on Pinterest.
- Gather your materials: SNSS Mini Flower Blocks3, Kraft CS, Versamark stamp pad, white embossing powder, copics of choice, 0 blender
2. Stamp your image using versamark or embossing pad, pour your white embossing powder (I used white fine detail)and heat it thoroughly with your heat tool.
3. Colour in your image
using your copics of choice. Be careful to stay off the embossed
portions, go lightly in application. Blend your colours as usual. Once
you are finished, go over lightly with the 0 blender over the white
portions. This will pull the colour off you may have applied to the
embossed portions.
4. Finish your card
as desired. For this card, I mounted the image on a white fishtail
banner and stamped the sentiment directly beneath. I embellished with
matching ribbon. I love the Be encouraged set for it's many inspirational sentiments and versatility.
Here
is another sample using the same technique. This card is layered on a
piece of embossed CS and embellished with white ribbon. I stamped the
sentiment directly on the base.
Grab
some of your favourite sets, your markers and try your hand on this fun
technique. Don't forget to upload to your favourite social media or
Splitcoaststampers to show us your creations. Have a great Day!
