Christmas Cards

Hello everyone, Esther here with two Christmas cards featuring BRAND NEW holiday stamp sets from Sweet n Sassy Stamps!

For this first card I went with the traditional red and green. I did some simple stamping and die cut it with doily dies. To add a bit of texture I embossed the flowers before gluing them together. I'm not sure if you can tell by the picture, but two of those flowers have snowflakes behind them -- just to add interest and dimension!

I created a fun little winter scene and added a country flavor with a gingham checked background using my favorite Texture Tiles set. Since I love little details, I added some tiny stars and two black snowflakes.

Simple Christmas

Hi friends! It's Julee, popping in with a couple of cards featuring the new Best Gift Ever sentiment set and the previously released O Holy Night set.

I love layers and embellishments, but when it comes to Christmas cards, I'm looking for simple and striking. The sentiments in Best Gift Ever make this an easy task!

For my first card, I masked off the outer edges of a rectangular panel and then ink blended in blues and purples, flicking on some white glimmer metallic ink for a starry sky.  Next I embossed the Matthew 2:10 verse from Best Give Ever toward the bottom and the star from O Holy Night in the upper center.  A few distressed edges and some dimensional foam tape and this card was done.

For my next card I embossed the nativity circle from O Holy Night in silver in the center, then masked off the outer circle and blended in some blues.  I then took a baby wipe and moved some of the ink around in swirling motions to give the appearance of looking at the earth from the cosmos.  I splattered with blue ink and glimmer metallic ink and then embossed the sentiment from Best Gift Ever below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've been inspired!

best. gift. ever.

Good morning! I'm back today with two more Christmas cards, this time in more traditional colors. Here I used the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Best Gift Ever which has some pretty great sentiments!

For my first card, I kept it mostly white and stamped the words in red to try to let them steal the show! The tiny star is from another new set...Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born.

For my second card, I really wanted to use this sentiment. I was going to use an image from Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born since they pair so well but decided to go a different route and piled on a bunch of presents. I think the sentiment here helps bring the focus on what the true gift really is.

Have a great Thursday!
Diane

Traditional Christmas

Happy Monday!! Esther here with a Christmas card in traditional red and green! This was super simple and fun to create. I embossed my red card stock with a knitted folder and lightly rubbed white ink over top to make the embossing stand out. Add a sentiment, some pine die cuts and lots of paint splatters and wa-la a festive holiday card!

Best Gift Ever

I know, it's only September and we are all thinking pumpkins and apple picking right now. However, this is also the time to be thinking about making your Christmas cards too, before you run out of time. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has an awesome new release featuring amazing Christmas sets you will want to add to your stash.

For today's card I paired the brand new Best Gift Ever sentiment set with the previously released In This Together.

I stamped the flowers from In This Together onto Canson mixed media paper with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. I colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens (red, olive green, seaweed green and sunset yellow) and hand trimmed out. I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink onto a white stitched scallop edge die cut. Next, I die cut a stitched scallop edge rectangle piece of pattern paper (wonderful winter My Mind's Eye). I assembled the pieces as seen, popping the oval and flowers up with foam tape and adding gold sequins to finish it off.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and thanks for stopping by!
