Thinking of You

Esther here today with an autumn still life scene created using one of my all-time favorite stamp sets (Beautiful Bouquets) combined with pumpkins from the Fall Beeze set. All the images were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens, and the coordinating dies made this a snap to create.

Latte Love

Happy Friday my crafty friends! I'm excited to show you today's card using the new stamp & die set called Latte Love from this month's new release

I made an A2 card base and cut another piece to use as the front panel. On this piece, I used the Background Builders: Stripes stamps to make a checkered table in pink inks.

Next, I stamped and die cut images from the Latte Love stamp set, and colored them with Copic markers. I used foam tape behind the images and glued them to the card. Then I stamped the hearts above the coffee mugs to make it seem like heart-shaped steam was rising from them. To finish, I added some glossy accents to those cute mugs and on the sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed today's blog post! Don't forget to checkout this month's new release

Thanks so much!

Happy Monday! Esther here today with fun fold thank you card all done up in blues (my favorite color!). I used several NEW products including the doily stencil, geometric background stamp, and those pretty scallop border dies.

I just love the elegance of that doily stencil, so I included it on the inside of my card as well as the front panel. It's light enough that I can write my message over top.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Today I have three Thank You cards using this months "stamp of the month" free with a $60 purchase. It is called (wait for it...) Thank You (haha!)

This set it so fun. There are chunky thank yous and scripty thank yous. They go with so many card designs. For my projects, I pulled some backgrounds together and mostly let the sentiment carry the card. I am pretty happy to have some thank you cards in my stash that are versatile too!

1st - I created a abstract back ground using copics to color the heat embossed my sentiment on black with white embossing powder.

2nd - I used the Background Builder Stripe set to create a fun black and white background, heat embossed my sentiment on black with white embossing powder and mounted everything on red for a pop of color.

3rd - I had a left over chick from March's Hoppy Spring set and I used it as an accent to a background using the Chicken Wire Stencil (right...). Then I stamped my sentiment onto the background.

I hope you are inspired - this set is seriously worth it! It will be one I go to again and again!

Thanks for stopping by!

March 2021 Release Hop Winner + Inspiration

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends! It's Julee popping in with a little inky inspiration and some happy news for one of you blog hoppers!

As always, we had so much fun sharing the current release with you on our March Blog Hop. We so hope you enjoyed it, too, and gleaned a little inspiration for using this month's stamps! While we think you're ALL winners, we did randomly select ONE lucky reader from among all the comments on the hop to receive a $25 gift certificate to the Sweet 'n Sassy shop.

And the winner is...

Congratulations Laurie!
Please send an email to snssassistant@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Now onto a little inspiration from me using one of my favorite past releases... Birds & Blooms. I started out by stamping out the images in the set, then watercoloring with distress inks and fussy cutting.  My first card is a shaker, using the miss you sentiment and my horizontal panel was done with the Background Builders: Stripes set. The background is a blended and sprinkled with water distress ink background.

My next card used the branch image, and I added the Blessings Word Die, cut a few times and stacked, then ink blended for some color and dimension.  The background is done with the Delightfully Delicate Stencil.  I used up a frame left over from cutting the back of my shaker above, then layered everything together.

There's still a week to save during our Moving Sale!

Coffee Talk

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal here. Today isn't my normal day to post, I switched with another team member.
I thought I would share a coffee card with you today for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Spring/Summer bloghop. Are you participating?

To create this card I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel. I used the  Coffee Talk stamp set and then masked it off to create the background. For the background I randomly stamped the coffee cups from the Jesus & Coffee stamp set and colored them with alcohol markers and stamped the little hearts with matching ink.
To finish the card I went back and added the line border by using the Background Builders: Stripes stamp set.

 Thanks for looking and Happy Stamping

Hello There Lilies

Hello friend. Esther here today sharing this friendship card that features two stamps sets from the March Release as well as a few older ones. Obviously lilies aren't just for Easter as they also make great focal points for friendship, get well, and even sympathy cards!

To create my card I stamped both Texture Tiles 11 and Typewriter Text Background in white in on a turquoise piece of card stock and die cut the edge with a scallop edge die.
Next I stamped the Background Builders: Stripes in peacock feathers distress ink across the bottom of of my white card stock. I layered the die cut scallop piece over top and added a sentiment from Everyday Greetings in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
The Alleluia Lilies were stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on watercolor paper and painted with watercolors before die cutting with the coordinating  Alleluia Lilies Dies  and adding them to my card front using foam mounting tape.

Two cards - One background

 Hello friend. Esther here today sharing two cards I created with one striped background. My first card features the BRAND NEW Alleluia Lilies and coordinating Alleluia Lilies Dies that I used to practice some no-line watercoloring. I stamped the Background Builders: Stripes on white card stock and added some spot stamping with Psalm 23 Background. I trimmed it into a long strip and matted it on green card stock.  To add a bit of interest to the white card front I used the Delightfully Delicate Stencil and some peeled paint distress oxide. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.

My second card uses the leftover piece of striped paper that I created with the Background Builders: Stripes set turned the other way and used across the bottom of my card.

  I created a focal point for my card using Flower Garden and Sweet As Honey, which I colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. The top part of my card is a collage consisting of Flower Garden, Cheerful Hexies, and Psalm 23 Background. The Fence Die divides the two sections and a sentiment from Encouraging Thoughts is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  ink across the bottom.

Wishing You

Happy Saturday everyone, today I am sharing a floral card with an old fashioned vibe to it. The old fashioned look was not part of my original plan, but how it turned out and I really like it.

This card was pretty easy to stamp and complete. I mixed and matched inks from various companies to stamp the roses and leaves from True Beauty on white cardstock and hand trimmed out. I used Background Builders: Stripes to stamp the lines on the white (pale pink ink) and pink (versamark) cardstock. I like to use VersaMark when I want a more subtle tone on tone effect. I die cut those panels with scallop and stitched edge dies. I stamped the sentiment from So Happy with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I assembled as seen popping the white panel up with foam tape.

My card also fits the February VIP Challenge over in the Sweet 'n Sassy Facebook Group. We would love to have you join us!

The So Happy set is part of the Overstock Sale going on during the month of February at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and have a wonderful day!

Something old, something new

Happy Monday! Esther here today sharing an Easter card that features some BRAND NEW stamps along with some back-in-stock dies. (Have I mentioned how excited I am that Sweet n Sassy Stamps is now carrying dies and has a new line of stencils coming?!)

To create my sunrise cross scene, I sponged versamark watermark ink through the rays stencil and embossed it in clear embossing powder. Then I sponged three colors of distress ink over top to create the sunrise.

~~~This post contains affiliate links at no extra cost to you~~~
I die cut the Calvary Die  and Fence and Grass Die out of black paper and layered them over top my sunrise piece. The background uses the set Background Builders: Stripes in a grid pattern on one side, and a matching sunrise piece spot stamped with the  Psalm 23 Background on the other. The sentiment comes from the NEW Easter Innies set and is stamped in white on black card stock and fussy cut.
For my card today, I am sharing a little cuppa comfort. It features the I Like Big Cups set, which I paper pieced onto some pretty paper, then I stamped, colored, and cut the flowers from Peony Cluster (on sale now) to fill the cup and add as an accent on the side. I used an ephemera piece from the paper pack for the frame, masking off the frame and stamping the Delightfully Delicate Background (also on sale) in pink. I then added the verse from Peony Cluster and glued everything together.  The background paper is lightly sponged around the edges and I finished off with some enamel dots.
Next up is this gorgeous card from Deeds featuring I Like Big Cups, Background Builders: Stripes, Going Postal, Birds & Blooms, and Walk Humbly.  I just love her coloring on the cup!
Finally, this amazing card by guest designer Charmaine Canham just blows my mind! The Coffee Talk 2 set completely speaks my language, and that gel press background with the text tile from the Texture Tiles 9 stamp is completely fabulous.  Add that to a big old cuppa from the I Like Big Cups set and you've got one amazing card!
