Did you know Sweet n ' Sassy Stamps is in the process of adding product from their brick 'n mortar store (The Stamper's Boutique) to their online site? Check out all the fun NEW stuff added to the Art Mediums category! There will be limited quantities of these products until Korin gets a feel for what sells well, so if you see something you like, grab it up fast!

I'm showcasing Gilding Polish on today's card. After embossing the azalea's I went over the raised design with two shades of blue polish. Don't you love that beautiful shimmer?

Nightscape Guy Cards

Hello everyone! I am back today sharing two guy cards featuring the brand new June Product of the Month Grunge Gears Stencil. This stencil is yours free this month with a $50 qualifying order! Check out what the team has done with this fabulous stencil and be on the lookout for more inspiration throughout the month.

I confess, I had zero inspiration before this stencil arrived in the mail. I just started pulling sets out I thought might work with it and let the ideas flow from there.

I created the backgrounds almost exactly the same way. The lighthouse one is fainter because I started with a layer of speckled egg distress oxide ink since I wasn't sure I liked the first one I did. In the end, I decided to use both.

First, I taped down the stencil over a piece of white cardstock. Then, I went over it with distress oxide inks(picked raspberry, wilted violet, faded jeans and chipped sapphire). I continued to blend the inks until I was happy with it. Once I removed the stencil, I went over the background lightly with a combination of faded jeans and chipped sapphire. I die cut the panel, masked off a line with post-it notes where I wanted the water to be and went over that section heavy handed with chipped sapphire.

After I removed the post it notes, I heat set the ink and embossed the images with black powder along the water line. Don't forget to use an anti static powder first! I used post-it notes to mask off the embossed areas to add white paint splatters to the top and water texture to the bottom with white pigment ink and a texture stamp. Finally, I stamped the sentiment with black ink directly on the panel, matted the panel with black and attached to a white base.

Hello

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in to share a little inspiration.  Today's card features the Diamond Tile Stencil, God is Faithful Stamp & Die Bundle, and Script Sentiments.

I started with the background, first lightly blending Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink onto a white card stock panel, fading to white on the one side.  I then placed the Diamond Tile Stencil over it and stenciled with the same color ink lightening up as I moved across the panel to continue the fade.

The beautiful floral image from God is Faithful is colored with Copic markers in pinks and purples, then cut with the coordinating dies.  I also cut the floral shape from plain cardstock a couple of times and layered them together to give some dimension.

The sentiment panel is stamped with the hello from Script Sentiments, then I added a couple sprigs from the God is Faithful set on eighter side for embellishment.  I finished with some black matting to make things pop and a few small rhinestones.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day!

Spring Lamb

Hello friend, Esther here today with this sweet little square card that features the Stamp-of-the-Month, Spotted.
I stamped the little lamb from Sweet Little Lamb  in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink  and colored it with my Arteza Real Brush Pens. Next I stamped the Grunge Stripe Background in Yeti Ink (Lawn Fawn) on a piece of purple cardstock and added some grunge using a stamp from Texture Tiles 1. I die cut a circle using circle dies from Spellbinders and layered it on a black doily cut with the Doily Die from Sizzix. The sentiment is from the Script Sentiments stamp set.

more beautiful bouquets

Hello!  Today I have two more cards with the Beautiful Bouquets set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ February release. I also used the new Flower Bunch Background and some previous sets, Script Sentiments and Alleluia Lilies Dies.

Product links: Beautiful Bouquets Stamp SetBeautiful Bouquets DiesBeautiful Bouquets Bundle, Flower Bunch Background, Script Sentiments, Alleluia Lilies Dies.

The white and vellum diecut leaves tucked behind a layer on the first card are from the Alleluia Lilies Dies. The card was kept in blues except for the colored leaves.

I smooshed and spritzed some inks and picked up the color directly with the cardstock for the second card. When I stamped the flower background, I got a smudge of ink on the panel. Instead of throwing it all in the trash, I switched gears and changed my card design. A window was cut in the panel to eliminate the smudge, then I layered my flower image behind it.

Have a great day!
Diane

Wishing You...

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!  Cathy here with two very different cards to share with you today.  I have a great niece who is three so I like to keep fun cards on hand for special occasions.  There are so many cute stamp sets at the SNSS Store that are perfect for this, but for her next fun-filled birthday, I just had to use this adorable clown from the Circus Fun stamp set.

Fun papers by American Crafts provided the ideal background for the clown which was paper pieced and colored with Copic Markers.  The balloons were colored and given a coat of Glossy Accents to look translucent.  Banner Dies were used to create the banner across the top of the card which was mounted to twine and attached with foam tape.

I also needed to wish friends at church the love, peace, and comfort of the Lord after the loss of their mother/MIL.   Precious Poppies and a technique learned at a recent Clear & Sheer Online Class were used for my sympathy card.

The poppies were white embossed on a piece of vellum dyed with Memento dye inks.  The vellum was attached to card stock that was embossed using the Anna Griffin Poppies folder and mounted to a card base.  The sympathy greeting from the Script Sentiments stamp set was gold embossed on a strip of white card stock and attached to the card.  A bow and gold pearls were added to finish the card.  A sentiment from Sympathy Innies was gold embossed on the inside.
(The Precious Poppies stamp set is currently out of stock but will be available soon.)

A Christmas Thank You

Hello everyone... hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Now that the gifts have been opened and the trimmings are being put away, it's time to send out those Christmas thank you notes.  I'd like to share one of mine with you that uses a little bit of tissue paper recycling…didn't want all of that pretty wrapping paper to go to waste!

The background, salvaged tissue paper from one of my Christmas packages, was scrunched in a ball, smoothed out, and glued to a piece of Vintage Cream card stock.  The ornament from Mod Ornaments was cut with the matching Ornament Die and stamped in Pure Poppy.  The split sentiment is from the Script Sentiments and Kindness stamp sets.  A Small Snowflake die cut from a matching piece of wrapping paper was added and the gold pearls help to pick up the gold in the tissue paper.

To celebrate the end of another year and to thank you for your amazing support,
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is having a big Store-Wide Year End Sale
from now until December 31st!

Now I can put all of my Christmas stamp sets away for a while and concentrate on the beginning of a new year!  Can't wait to see what Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has in store for us in 2014!  Until next year…

Have A Happy & Blessed New Year!
Hugs,
Cathy

Fall Weddings

Welcome Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!  Are you ready to begin a new week? The summer seems to be slipping by and it won't be long before fall arrives.  I love fall weddings...in fact my anniversary is in fall!  So in honor of fall weddings, I have two cards to share with you.

I just love the elegance of the new Script Sentiments clear stamp set. This all white card with lots of texture and bling highlights the Best Wishes sentiment from the set.

For this fall card, the Fall Time Cocoa image was colored with Copic Markers.  A few leaves from the new Leaf Silhouettes clear stamp set were stamped in fall colors to match the DP, fussy cut, and tied on with a bit of Baker's Twine.  The sketch is last week's Sweet Stop Sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a little fall preview!  Have a blessed day!

Hugs,
Cathymac
