Deserts and Bees

Hello Friends, Esther here with two fun cards to share with you! This first one is a desert scene using the Landscape Silhouette stamp set. I inked up the top half of a watercolor paper with pink and purple distress oxides and added some paint splatter stars. Originally I had masked off the moon, but had a little "whoopsie" with my ink so I ended up cutting a large white circle  to cover it up.  It was my first time to use the Landscape Silhouette stamp set, and I'm loving how it turned out!

Grow

Hello everyone! Do you use a lot of alphabet stamps on your cards? I recently started to use them more and I really like it. You can get a personal message in a really easy way.

For this card I stamped the cacti on marker paper and colored them with alcohol markers. I stamped the word 'grow' on a frame that I die-cut out of cream paper. I distressed the edge of the frame with the same green ink that I used to stamp the word with. I cut out the cacti and adhered them on the frame. I used a thick colored vellum paper for the background and washi with golden accents to adhere it to the edge of the card. I used a couple of sequins to add some more golden accents to the card and that's it.

I used 'Happy Alpha' and 'Refresh my Soul'

I hope you're inspired to create!

I {Heart} Distress Oxides

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal here to share with you today something I love to do and that's use distress oxide inks to make backgrounds.

To create my card I started with a Kraft card base and a piece of Bristol cut down with a stitched die. I find that distress inks, weather they are regular or normal blend so much better when you use bristol cardstock opposed to regular cardstock.  For the background I randomly blended a little Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Crushed olive on the paper then I smushed each color on the craft sheet and sprayed with water, and lightly touched a portion of the bristol paper on the wet ink (this gives you the splattered look) and dried it with a heat tool after each time until I achieved a look I was happy with. Next using the MISTI I stamped the leaves from the Give Thanks set which is the Stamp of the Month and can be earned free when placing a $75 order or more. The greeting is from the Incredibly Blessed set which are both in our August release.
Distress Oxides are opaque and I love that quality because not only can you achieve a layer look with them you can also watercolor with them. I watercolored the leaves using Gathered Twigs and I love the outcome, the more water you use the less opaque it is as you can see in the very bottom leaf.

I also shared this card on my blog yesterday where I used the Mowed Lawn oxide to watercolor the cactus.

Stuck on You

Hello sweet friends!  I have two rather prickly cards to share today using the Refresh My Soul stamp set released last month along with the July Stamp of the Month, Texture Tiles 3.  The adorable prickly cacti in the Refresh My Soul stamp set are so much fun!

The background was created with Distress Inks and the bubble texture from the Texture Tiles 3 stamp set.  The cacti were colored with Copic Markers, the sentiment stamped and sequins added to finish the card.

My second sample is a shaker card...how fun!  The background was again created with Distress inks and Oxides.  Sequins were used inside the shaker.

Texture Tiles 3 is the July Stamp of the Month and is free with your $75 purchase until the end of the month!

Have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Cathy

Rolling Along

Hello friends!  I hope you have been enjoying all of the beautiful samples the Creative Team has been posting using the new July Release.  I have two cards to share today using the new Go God's Way stamp set designed by Diane Noble.  This set is wonderful for Bible Journaling and card making.

A scene was sponged using Distress Inks and the bicycle from Go God's Way was stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  Flowers from Itty Bitty Blossoms were added and the center of the scene was cut with a rectangles die, matted with black card stock and popped back into the scene.  Clouds, a fence and a grass border were added to finish the card.  The sentiment is from the God is Bigger stamp set.

My second card features the camper and the car from the Go God's Way stamp set.

The background scene was again created with Distress Inks and one of the textures from the Texture Tiles 3 set.  The images from Go God's Way and Refresh My Soul were colored with Copic Markers, cut out and popped onto the card.  The sentiment was made from the Scripty Thoughts set and the Mini Grunge Type Alpha.

These new stamp sets are now available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.
Texture Tiles 3 is the Stamp of the Month and is FREE with a $75 purchase until the end of the month.

This is the way we roll....thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

I'm Stuck On You

Hello Sweet Friends!  It's Sheri here today sharing a couple cards featuring the NEW Refresh My Soul stamp set.  This is such a universal stamp set.  I love how fun these cards came out.  I used copic markers to color all the images.

I just love this sentiment and thought that the googly eyes would be a fun touch.  I will be saving this one for hubby for when I'm under tight design team deadlines and may get a little prickly...LOL

Refresh My Soul....

{jane bosi}  Happy Monday, Sweet Friends!!  I recently attended a conference where we talked about the importance of connecting with creation.  I recall my dad often taking us to tromp through the woods.  I loved those crisp fall days and noticing the mushrooms and other seed pods as we hiked a trail here or there.  Planted seeds.....I love being in nature (although I HATE bugs!!) and always find it refreshing to my soul.  It restores, I think.
I've lately been obsessed a bit with succulents. And, just like my dad, I wanted to share this interest with my kiddos.  That cute girl in the photo, my daughter Sophie, she likes to name her plants...Brian, Steve....lol, she's a hoot!
Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps came out with this fabulous stamp set just in the nic of time!! Refresh My Soul was the perfect choice to use for this sweet 8 x 8 scrapbook layout.  Also used, Bitty Minnie Alpha and Mini Grunge Type Alpha.

Have a great day!!  Jane

Sorry, I Was So Prickly

Hi Sweet Friends!

Julie, here sharing another card designed with May Creative Worship release stamp set, Refresh My Soul

I love all of the images that Korin designed for Refresh My Soul stamp set- perfect for cards as well as Bible Art Journaling, scrapbooking, gifts and home décor.

To create this card, I stamped three of the cactus images with archival black ink before heat embossing with clear embossing powder and using water-based markers to watercolor.

I also heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto black cardstock before layering with designer paper and a bit of twine.

I fussy-cut each cactus image before mounting them onto the card front with dimensional foam.   Quick and easy and perfect for that time when you spoke before you should have – know what I mean?

Also, don't forget- there are a few days left to receive the May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts free with your $75 net order ($US after all discounts) plus free shipping and handling on any $75 (net $US order).

Hugs and thanks again for taking the time to stop by!

Tomorrow on Memorial Day, may we all take some time to reflect on the sacrifice paid for our freedom here in the United States.  May the Lord bless the families of those who have lost loved ones serving our country to protect our freedom and may we never forget!

cacti greetings

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp sets from the May Release. Here I used Refresh My Soul and the May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts (free with your $75 order).

On my first card, I punched a 2" circle in the white layer. Then I used 3 small images stamped repeatedly to frame the opening. The cactus was added and the whole layer was popped up.

I stamped the large cactus repeatedly on the background of my second card. Then I punched three circles to add the cute cacti. Both cards have a few dots of Stickles to add a touch of sparkle. These images are versatile for many occasions.

Have a great day!
Diane

Refresh My Soul

{jane bosi}   Happy Tuesday, Sweet Friends!!  Today, I have a few projects to share.  Both feature Refresh My Soul--I just cannot get enough of this set!!  It's so much fun to color and layer!  The card above also features the Stamp of The Month, Scripty Thoughts

Using water color paper, I first stamped and masked off a variety of the cacti and succulent images.  These are so much fun!!  I water colored with distress inks and an aqua brush.  I floated in more color with a generous amount of water a paint brush.

My second project is one of my favorites this month!  I started with a 3 x 3 canvas, a stencil and some embossing paste.  Before the paste dried, I spritzed a variety of Dylusions ink sprays on the surface.  While that was drying completely, I stamped, embossed and cut out a variety of the images from Refresh My Soul.  I layered all of the images, leaving them uncolored.  With the colorful background, the images really didn't need more color.  For a little extra bling, I added some glitter glue and some sequins.  I love how it turned out.  And, I have the perfect person that I want to give it to!
Enjoy!! Be Awesome!  Jane

Let's Do This!

Hi Sweet Friends!

Juliehere and I am sharing another mixed media card using the May release stamp sets, Refresh My Soul and Let’s Do This.

I love the fun images and sentiments in Refresh My Soul as well as the wonderful worship words in the Let’s Do This- perfect for cards, Bible Art Journaling, scrapbooking as well as gifts or home décor.

To create this card, I layered a die-cut a piece of white cardstock onto black cardstock and added the layered strip of designer paper before mounting the card front onto the white card base.

I stamped the various words from Let’s Do This with embossing ink onto a die cut tag, heat embossed the images with white embossing powder and added the gingham ribbon bow before mounting onto the card front with dimensional foam.

The cacti images from Refresh My Soul were stamped with archival black ink onto white cardstock, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and once the images cooled, watercolored with water-based markers. The images were fussy-cut and mounted onto the card front with dimensional foam.

To finish off the card, I used a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the images and a few rhinestones for a bit of shine.

I hope I have inspired you today and don't forget, you can receive the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts free with a net $75 US$ order (after all discounts and before shipping) plus any net $75 US receives free shipping!

Refresh My Soul

Hello friends, Stephanie here today with 2 card for you using the new Refresh My Soul Set which I am just so in love with!

For my first card I wanted to make a masculine Birthday card so I colored up this cactus with Copics and used Teeny Alpha and Chunky Alpha to make the words. I added a little heart to the cactus and the paper is from DCWV.  You could finish it off with several sentiments on the inside I am going to use it as a birthday card and the inside reads: "for someone your age" 😁

For my next card I colored up the same cactus, I used one of the sentiments from the set and made the "xoxo" with Teeny Alpha.  I colored with Copics and the paper is from Simple Stories.  Remember we have a free with $75 purchase and this month is is an awesome set called Scripty Thoughts pictured below.
